That would be underwhelming if that’s the only move tbh. I’d be fine with him replacing Epps. However Blankenship and mills doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence granted I’d assume that’s not the only moves they’d make there

Not saying I love it just looking around and not seeing a ton of options.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Frankly I’d be fine with John Johnson. Down year with cleveland but when he played in this system with the rams he was actually a really good coverage safety. Eagles were interested in him that year he signed with Cleveland. Plus was released by cleveland so doesn’t hurt your comp picks

Give me some Nolan Smith, Calijah Kancey, Sydney Brown, Jack Campbell, and Riley Moss in this draft.

That would overhaul the defense immediately. It could happen with a few RD1 trade downs.

And my nips would be rock solid.

A white CB huh? That’d be something.

Eagles should get compensatory pick for drafting him.

Yea count me as a big Jack Campbell advocate

Not going to lie, i'm disappointed in the whole saga.

But I have faith in Howie to fill the holes like he always does.

The draft is massive though. Get that right and i think we'll have a good season. Don't think we'll make the superbowl, but if we get the draft wrong I doubt we'll make the playoffs.

wow. Didnt think Thielen would still get that kind of money.

White privilege. Makes me sick.

After putting together all the pieces, if the agency post is true, we were essentially giving him 2/16M guaranteed with the contract setup for extension in the 3rd year (like we did with Slay). Gunn said it was 3 years, 2 guaranteed so this structure makes the most sense to me. Not sure what to really think. It seems like his agency is just incompetent.

I don't think we'll miss CGJ's on-field play as much as we we'll miss his "presence". Dude is physical and never shuts up. You need that on defense.

Need more high-intensity players on defense. Unless Christian Ellis starts at LB, we don't have anyone else on defense that wants to punish offensive players.

If Byard finds a way onto our team both of our starting safeties would have went to school at Middle Tennessee State

Imagine telling us a week ago that CJGJ would get less money than Marcus Epps😄

Mind boggling. Is CJGJ a bad locker room guy or something?

Let’s put aside winning the division for a second. You think we are at most the 8th best team in the NFC if we only have a "B” draft?

Cowboys fans were celebrating losing Kellen Moore

Most of them were, but that means nothing.  Moore was unemployed for about 20 seconds.    I don’t think he was their problem

Lions secondary is pretty nice with CJGJ, Sutton, Okudah and Moseley.

Also think their offense will be pretty dangerous with a full year of Williams and St Brown.

Absolutely, they will be a team to be reckoned with. And their guys aren't 30 plus unlike here.

What has Ellis shown that he's a nasty player on defense that would bring that presence?  Genuinely curious because I haven't seen it.  If he can, that's great but where did you get this idea?

If we hired based on Harper’s sentiments, 90% of the Blog would be unemployed.

Well the Saints traded him for peanuts.  He played well for the Eagles and they didn't make him a priority when he was the ONE young player everyone assumed they needed to lock up.  The rest of the league didn't bother to sign him as FA has been going on for a week.  He then takes a 1-year deal for what amounts to pennies.  There has to be something going on with him.  Howie doesn't let 25 year old players who we assume is still an ascending player walk away.

1. He's been overrated by fans.

2. He's been overvalued by himself and his agency

3. The Eagles defense didn't really miss a beat wtihout him.

4. He's proven to be a bit immature in his social media antics (how much do teams consider this?)

5. Howie still has options via vet FA (Johnson, Mills etc.), draft and trades

While it does suck to lose a player who led the NFL in interceptions as well as a player who brought some attitude to the defense, this isn't like losing Dawkins.  Adding to the suck is that since Dawkins, the Eagles have had a rotating door at safety and it felt like they finally had a young peice who could bring stability to the defensive backfield.  It isn't the end of the world though and I'm looking forward to what the Eagles do to fill his shoes.  If it's K'von Wallace, this is going to be a bad move.  If it's John Johnson or Jalen Mills plus a pick like Sydney Brown then I'm much more on board.

No one has seen it, because the guy hasn't played in the NFL. It's all projections from a guy who wasn't even drafted. Pretty silly to pencil that guy in as anything more than the last linebacker on the depth chart. I don't know how anyone can think we can just trot out new starters in Williams, Davis, Ellis, Dean, Blanky.

I truly think this is far more because of things we haven’t seen as fans than it is about on-field play and the social media stuff.

After seeing how CJGJ’s agency tweets it makes even more sense why no one was interested. Amateur hour.
