We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

People lose sight of the fact that MIlls wasn't just deficient athletically (slow) ... he was a DUMB player -- with more D's than Christy Canyon.  He can't catch the ball, and can't make a play to save his life.

There were actually people debating when Mills dropped a can of corn that Matt Ryan tossed into his lap that "it counts as a PBU, so it was a good play"

The guy had zero football sense as a CB, and he wasn't nearly as good as Jenkins when given a chance there -- strictly a box safety with almost no coverage responsibilities -- and he failed.

I photoshopped what Jalen Mills would look like in an Eagles uniform

A new tweet and delete.

I'm glad this clown is gone. He would be a distraction sooner or later.

Is that the saddest series of FA signings ever?

CJGJ doing his best to make Eagles fans angry at him and not Howie. A true team player.

Here's the "problem" with this offseason.  It had to go this way, but it's still a concern nonetheless.

In order to match the talent of last year's team, the following needs to happen:

1. Four draft picks (Davis, Williams, Jurgens, Dean) need to decisively register as hits.  3 of them are defensive players.  How many YEARS of Howie drafting do we need to go back to find 3 defensive hits?

2. The OL cannot have one extended injury.

3.  Between the rookie draft class, FA scrap heap, veteran trades, and unheralded UDFA types on the roster, Howie needs to produce 2 decent starting safeties, one decent starting LB, one heavily used rotational RB, and extensive OL depth.

That's a big ask.

Yeah crap's getting OTT with him on SM.

How could he be blackballed?

Jalen Mills was the Derek Barnett of CB's...except Mills was drafted in the 7th round and we should be more grateful for his production to investment ratio.

Maybe CJGJ would’ve gone on to be a bad character guy, but wanting a guy gone because of inoffensive tweets that annoy you personally because you’re emotionally invested in the team is a symptom of "too online.”

I think a lot of social media users suffer from this. For example, you’ll see an athlete post an eyeball emoji and a bunch of people will freak out and be like "He shouldn’t be baiting people or leaving people hanging like this” and I’m always like you guys are bugging out over a Fing eyeball emoji. The problem isn’t the emoji, it’s that you’re way too invested in this crap on social media.

I think CJGJ stuff is the same. People are super invested in free agency, probably have their notifications set, and every time CJGJ puts something out, it’s messing with their emotions. But that’s on the fans for getting way too into this stuff, not him. It’s not like he said anything bad.

If the dude starts ranting about how Howie Roseman sucks or the Eagles are dopes, count me in. But I think all his Twitter stuff is much ado about nothing, honestly.

People probably don't want to bring in unpredictable personalities that will take to twitter to trash them after they part ways.

We don't have to be as talented, to play better. See the defense under Gannon against real offenses.

Well, the defense certainly can't be any worse in our final and decisive game next year than they were this past year.

But they might be quite a bit worse along the way...and might see to it that the decisive game comes a bit earlier this year.

While I think Gannon has been particularly horrible adjusting against top QBs, he did do a very good job getting the defense ready to play in the regular season and pre-SB playoffs.  You can't have that many guys have a career year if you aren't doing something right.

I'm not sure he even knows what that means

From The Athletic.

Wulf: For the Eagles, we can now say the reports at the outset of free agency of the team considering Gardner-Johnson its top internal priority were not entirely accurate. It’s easy to envision a scenario in which the team offered Gardner-Johnson a multiyear deal that he found beneath him, leading the Eagles to pivot to re-signing James Bradberry (and later extending Darius Slay) instead. But if Philadelphia viewed Gardner-Johnson as vital, it would have found a way to top the Lions’ offer. It’s another reminder of how quickly things change in the NFL. Just watch Gardner-Johnson’s Super Bowl vlog to see the rotating cameos from so many teammates who have already moved on.

Berman: The Eagles are in a fine position to rebound at safety because there is a bevy of options, especially relative to defensive tackle. The player I like most is Johnson, who was released as a cap casualty by the Browns at the start of the league year. He was one of the top free agents two seasons ago when he signed a three-year, $33.75 million contract. He’s been durable and a solid performer, albeit not a top-of-the-league safety. But his experience in this type of scheme and his versatility would be assets for a safety group that has Blankenship as its top option at the moment. (Good thing the Eagles don’t play a game for nearly six months.) In a depressed safety market, the Eagles should be able to find good value. They can also look to Rapp, who is 25 and who the Rams opened a starting spot for when they let Johnson leave. The Eagles must be confident he has the necessary range if they look in that direction. Amos has experience with Desai if the Eagles are seeking a veteran Band-Aid. The NFL Draft is always an option, although I don’t see the Eagles spending a premium pick on a safety this year. I think they find an experienced starter. Watch out for the trade market: As I’ve written, I would call the Panthers about Jeremy Chinn entering the final year of his contract.

Berman has mentioned Chinn a few times. I actually like that as an option.

I appreciate not being melodramatic over this but he's tweeting and immediately deleting contentious tweets in tandem. The guy doesn't have his feet firmly planted.

He's a head case.

I like Chinn a lot but I don't like pairing Chinn with Blakenship

Johnson or Rapp wouldn't be a big downgrade from CJ if at all. Mills would. I would like to see them bring in Mills as depth/insurance for Blankenship AND Johnson or Rapp.

I think Howie has the roster at a place where he feels there isn't any urgent need at a position from a draft perspective.  The Eagles value by position:

QB

DL

OL

WR

CB

RB

S

LB

Safety and LB are definitely low on the totem pole.  They have the QB, 2023 starters on DL and OL are in place, same with WR and CB, RB is 2/3 filled with a tentative in Penny, and the last two positions will be filled through cheap FA.  Dean will be one starter at LB.  I'm sure Howie feels safety will be "figured out" prior to the draft.  Maybe they see Blankenship filling one starter spot, but I doubt it.

He also doesn't appear to be very bright since he said he did what was  best for his family when he actually didn't contract wise, and still employs that clown show of an agency he has representing him.

Yep, Johnson and Mills would be savvy

I don't see it that way.  Please elaborate.
