I know we had low expectations for this FA period and there’s a still a long way to go but these moves have been complexity uninspiring.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Don't Pay The Merriman

A 6’ 225 Lb. version.

Philadelphia has added a linebacker.

The Eagles have agreed to a one-year deal with Nicholas Morrow, according to multiple reports.

Morrow spent the 2022 season with the Bears, starting all 17 games for the club. He recorded a career-high 116 tackles with 11 tackles for loss. He also had a pair of passes defensed and an interception.

Morrow was on the field for every one of Chicago’s defensive snaps last year.

Entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2017, Morrow spent his first five seasons with the Raiders in Oakland and Las Vegas. He missed the 2021 season due to injury.

Morrow has played 79 games with 46 starts, recording 4.0 sacks, 31 tackles for loss, 15 QB hits, and three interceptions.

He's durable. So he's got that going for him. Pay no attention to 2021.

I thought we were losing everyone but Graham & Kelce. Bradberry coming back is a win IMO. Also Cox, as much as I dislike the number, is needed with a young, unproven DT room. I’m not upset but I’m not jumping up and down like last year.

Actually, FA wasn’t even exciting last year aside from Reddick. The draft and Braderry/CJ were later and more exciting times.

I've been putting Felix as our pick at 30.

I f'n loathe the Van Ness at 10 pick. Man would I be disappointed with that. I'd rather go Smith or even a o-lineman that can slide/compete at RG than it's the potential to play RT. Talk about force feeding the position with a lesser player.

Whats the hate for Van Ness?  Trust me, he's not Will Anderson or Carter but he's 6'5'', bendy....

I do like Felix at the 30 pick

Who’s ready for 5-11 Dean and 6’ Morrrow!

Maybe this bodes well for my wanting of Ivan Pace.  He’s 5-11 230 in a Kendricks build.

This is a bad LB class, and Morrow allows us to not force a LB pick. The signing is fine. He might even outplay Edwards.

Morrow is so good the Bears thought Edwards was worth $20m.

Is this new? I've seen it posted a lot this offseason but can't recall seeing it before

Adebawore is now Kiper’s 14th rated prospect. Watch him be the pick at 10.

Van Ness has the feel of a guy who the Eagles draft in round 1…has an invisible rookie season…everyone talks about giving him time and DL depth pushes him down the depth chart…peaks at 5-8 sacks in his best year…early on in the process everyone says he’s so much better than his sack totals indicate due to run defense, pressures, and PFF…then everyone gets frustrated with his lack of impact by the end of his rookie deal and wants him gone.

Same as the guys we let go,  and likely cheaper.

Exactly, Dean and Morrow might not be world beaters but I don't see them as that much different than Edwards & White

Eagles might just load up in premium positions and throw a bunch of darts at the others hoping they land.

Edward nor White were splash play guys. A few of those would be a big upgrade.

Maybe for a trade back but not at 10

Exactly.

Also, guys like Jack Campbell & Drew Sanders are prototypical LBers who should be ready to start week 1. Therefore, we will not be drafting them. They aren’t projects.

Drew Sanders would be awesome to add.

Morrow should be fine for what they need. I think Dean has a chance to be a really good player if he’s healthy. Seems to be all over the place.

Definitely seems likes the plan.  The guys they lost weren't paid so much but clearly they don't want to pay those positions much

Still have work to do at OG, RB, LB, and S.  See a pattern?

My thoughts on Morrow
