Epps and Edwards weren’t splash play guys.  But they did their job.  But…a team with talent and a franchise qb contract can’t afford to pay non-splash play guys.  The means LB, S, RB basically need to be interchangeable parts.

Epps and Edwards started as interchangeable parts.  We just need Epps and Edwards 2.0.  Only problem is I don’t think the current guys on the roster even have that kind of upside.  Of course, I didn’t really think Epps did either (I did think Edwards had it), so there’s that.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Epps was a 6th round (191st overall) pick of the Vikings who was cut by the team during his rookie season.  The Eagles picked him up off waivers and someone in the organization took a liking to him.  I think pretty much anybody can replace him -- he's the definitive replaceable cog.

LB comes down to putting two guys out there that aren't going to get picked on by opposing offenses.  Gerry was picked on.  Singleton was picked on, to a lesser extent.  Edwards was for a time then improved to being serviceable.

Man, looks like Eagles dodged a bullet not signing CJGJ. Coming off like a real childish clown.

The Eagles general philosophy for non premium positions is if they can't get a top of the line blue chip starter, they'd rather play 1 mil per year for average than 6 mil per year for slightly above average.

Now, that obviously comes with the assumption they've evaluated each player correctly. We'll see.

I thought bo wulf actually made a good point before free agency which was maybe the eagles don’t pay him as much we think cause eventually he’ll rub you the wrong way. That he has issues with the saints and there’s caution because he could eventually be more volatile than what his talent is. He was a diva and pain in the ass in New Orleans. So I’m not really surprised he’s acting like an idiot on social media now. It’s who he is

Kempski thinks Morrow will start.

I would have taken a shot on him as WR4/RS

Reminds me of Kuzzik...  Gooood Morrow Sir, Good Morrow to you...  55 second mark...

Get ready to dance........with swords

I wonder if the Eagles will pursue TY Hilton as a depth WR. Looked pretty decent with Dallas and Sirianni obviously knows him.

Ugh.

Morrow is a special teams guy. 3rd string Lber

Has he been injured or missed a significant amount of time within the last 3 years?  If not, he's not our guy.

Whats the hate for Van Ness?  Trust me, he's not Will Anderson or Carter but he's 6'5'', bendy....

I do like Felix at the 30 pick

He's just a bigger stronger DE. I don't see the speed or burst off the edge. I'd rather not use pick 10 on that style of DE.

Not according to Howie

he had 116 tackles last year and started every game. I'm not saying he's Urlacherzzzzzzzzz but I think he's better than 3rd string

Morrow starting week 1 or draft pick?

He'll be starter week one benched by week 6 cut by week 8.

He's the prototypical Howie LB signing.

1 year contract ✔️

Converted safety ✔️

Injury History ✔️

Supposed to be better in coverage than against the run ✔️

Cheap ✔️

We'll see what happens🤷‍♂️

Yup.

I actually like him was being a bit facetious...

He fits what Howie generally looks for in LBs to a T.

I like him better than kyzir white.

Kyzir was pretty good in coverage but he made zero splash plays I think morrow has shown he can make a few and seems to be a more forceful hitter on tape than kyzir was.

Would be nice if morrow had a good season but then again if he did I'm sure he'll go to another team next year that unlike eagles pays LBs.

And around and around we go 🤷‍♂️

That cycle gets broken by drafting a good LB where the team has 4 years of a cost-controlled contract.  If you're the Eagles, you're hoping to hit on a Day 2-3 pick at the position (so, better than Davion Taylor)

Bears fans called him average. I'll take their word for it. Doesn't mean he can't blossom here, but wouldn't expect much.

Morrow and cap space > TJ Edwards.

Sounds like Alex Singleton 2.0
