This was one of the primary reasons why losing that game against the Chiefs was devastating: it was always going to be extremely difficult to improve on that team. However, there IS a way for this team to improve and it’s basically if Jalen takes another monumental step (which would implies that DeVonta also takes another large step). However, common sense says we’re being greedy and that’s unrealistic.

Hence why I maintain that we should be building towards 2024-2025 and not get too caught up in trying to go all-in in 2023.

what needs to happen is our top 3 picks from last year need to start and produce along with drafting atleast IMO 2 starters this draft. that there is a recipe for younger , faster and cheaper home grown talent.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

I don't know. The Vikings record didn't match their performance (e.g., point differential) at all. I think they are going to take a massive step back, record wise.

The NFC is going to be rather pathetic. The only teams I am confident will make the playoffs are the Eagles and 49ers.

As long as the Vikings have Justin Jefferson and a good running game, they'll be competitive. They'll be a playoff team.

Eagles, 49ers, Cowboys, Saints, Lions will all make it IMO. Bears, Giants, Rams, Vikings on the cusp.

The Vikings are not good. They're going to miss the playoffs this year.

I'll toss the Lions in that mix

Kinda where I am at. If I had to pick winners for the South and North right now, I'd go Saints and Lions. But man I don't feel great about a Dennis Allen team making the playoffs. Of the others, I think the Giants take a step back, and Washington might actually improve (somehow, Howell is an improvement on Wentz).

Right now, I'd pick them to win the division.

They are giving me 2016 Raiders vibes, hopefully Carr stays healthy this time

I think Panthers are going are going to win that division even with Dalton starting. That defense is stacked and it will win them games.

Every time the Lions don't lose games by too many points people think they are ascending.  They always revert to being the Lions.

They were on fire last year for a good bit and got better this off-season, especially on defense. I bet Vegas has them as NFCN favorites.

Jameson Williams will be full go and taking tops off defenses and that o-line will control the game.

Van Ness has the feel of a guy who the Eagles draft in round 1…has an invisible rookie season…everyone talks about giving him time and DL depth pushes him down the depth chart…peaks at 5-8 sacks in his best year…early on in the process everyone says he’s so much better than his sack totals indicate due to run defense, pressures, and PFF…then everyone gets frustrated with his lack of impact by the end of his rookie deal and wants him gone.

Sounds like this year's Karalaftis. Who,  actually is pretty good.  But nobody learns.

Not sure how much talk there's been in the blog lately about new heights, but Jason and Travis are doing a segment about which Hogwarts house players would be in.

Jason said all cowboys are slitherin and Jerry Jones is Voldemort and Jason Garrett is a horcrux 😂

The Bradberry contract sure is something. He's guaranteed to be on the team for 2023 & 2024. In 2025, he either restructures or gets the June 1st cut.

Quote

If on the roster in 2025 Bradberry will earn an option bonus worth $16.595 million.

He better not be on the team in 2025

no idea what any of it means.

That's ok neither does Travis ...

How riveting wat the Greedy presser?

Cowboys keep Fowler.

‘Now go get Ngakoue! 27, situational pass rusher, would be a beast here.

Can go into the draft with no pressing needs at any premium positions.

Back to the Dallas discussion, overall they aren't as good as the Eagles but I could see them causing us fits. Gilmore and Cooks are pretty good additions for them. I think Dak will be better than he was in 2022 due to his broken thumb being fully healed.

Who do you see as the most viable trade partner at 10 to move back and what do you think we get in return?

That's impossible to answer until we see how the board breaks. If one of the QBs is still there...game on.
