My amateur opinion is Skoronski is best at G. He would give you immediate help there and could back up Lane but I don't know if you spend pick 10 on a RG.  Paris Johnson is a OT and could be your future RT. He's played RG as well so he's more possible imo and in fact he has had a visit to the Linc.  Don't rule him out

Wright is my dude

You should be more nervous about his play…because he’s terrible.

Interesting to think how our money and resources are allocated against the top salaries at each position leaguewide.

We align with the top of the market at the premier positions but that we also spend big on C, guard, RT whether through money or draft capital. The areas that we lag are no surprise compared to the top 15 — RB, S and LB.

Interesting take by Cosell on Nolan Smith. He wonders if he's a better fit at insider linebacker comparable to Fred Warner. He's not sure about his pass rush traits besides his athleticism and pure speed, because he didn't have a lot of success doing it. Very interesting.

I also like Cosells view on Van Ness. A lot of power but stiff, not very fluid and not much bend. A little comparable to Zach Allen, another player I had no interest in. He wonders if he's more of a fit inside as he's a power player with tight hips and not very fluid. Yeah, pretty much what I was thinking and at ten I would hate this selection.

Could see it in a 3-4 but then is it worth a high pick?

now as a edge guy in a 3-3-5? Yup i can see that. The down safety role

IMO, the arrival of that unicorn made Peters expendable more than it did take Dillard's job.  If Dillard was worth a 1st round pick, he should have been able to fill in anywhere else across the OL.

I think we make too much of a singular circumstance where he was asked to play right tackle during warm ups.  Staying healthy was his main issue.

Morrow is this year’s White.  Not a ton of difference.  Good speed.  Plays zone downhill.  Purely an off ball LB.  Should be okay as a player.

Not a fan of Evans.  Was a too slow S before he mucked up his leg.  Allergic to tackling. A real roll of the dice camp body.

By allergic to tackling do you mean not a good tackler or afraid to hit?

I know it probably won't happen, but I'm starting to get enamored with the idea of taking Bijan Robinson in the 1st round.

We've lost 7 starter and it's gonna take a bit to replace all that talent.  One of the starters was Miles Sanders who has not bean a star here, per se, but was a major contributor.  Bijan replaces him in a big way.  Running behind our OL and with Jalen in the backfield, Bijan could be your OROY next year.  It's been a long time since we've had an OROY in Philly.  He's probably also an upgrade over Miles and would make a good offense absolutely deadly.

Nolan Smith can play ILB because he's a freak. It's the same conversation as Micah Parsons

Don't be shocked when we end up with Northwestern teammates at pick 10 and 30

Parsons played ILB at PSU though.  I said before the draft we need to pick him because he was the best Linebacker and best Edge rusher in the draft

A lot of superbowl teams in recent years have been QBs on rookie deals, and this is why.  We employed this formula in 2017 and did it again last year.

The Eagles have been bad with Lane out. I think that drives a high pick this year

With Dillard going, there is no viable backup LT on the roster.  I can see them taking a T this year, within the first 3 rounds as so far, nothing has come in FA. It's almost a glaringly obvious need, in the same way S is too.  You can argue G is a need if this is really Kelce's last year

Getting Bijan not at 10 but trade down before cowboys can would be great.

Howie would never do it but I'd be ok if he did.

Backup LT after the first is fine with me.

This team has a lot of needs and currently not a lot of picks.

So can't fill all the holes.

Pre draft I said he was the best player in the draft regardless of position and Howie would never draft him because he was a LB...

You don't go wrong drafting players like Nolan Smith at 10, especially in a weak draft class. It's not like there are 6 slam-dunk elite position player prospects.

I mean he was a pretty good player coming out of High School also...  24/7 had him as 20th best recruit of all time.  Without looking can anyone name any of the top 20 recruits ahead of him?

I can see a G being take in round 1 but towards the end of it - would fit what they have done in recent years. Would I do it?  No, but the history is there.  I don't see 2 x DL in round 1 at all.

He should be there at 10 and this defense probably looks a lot better with him at LB.  That would also require Howie to take a LB in the 1st round.  Honestly I don't think Howie values LBs very highly.  I can't remember the last time we took a linebacker higher than the 3rd round (Dean).

Nolan Smith is him but he will probably be a falcon

I think the only OL that makes sense in the first round is Paris Johnson Jr.  Year one he is our swing tackle and possibly backup guard.  Year two he's our starting RG when Kelce retires and Jurgens goes to C.  Year 3 he's our starting tackle.

He had a full week of practice before that game he started RT. Then had another month that season to learn it at some point as Lane was put on IR.

That plus two off-seasons to learn to play on the right side but the coaches felt it was better to move Mailata in 2021 during Lanes hiatus. He then had another offseason to learn it and if he had he could have started the last few games of this past season at RT, but again couldn’t so it had to be Driscoll with him on the bench.
