Exactly. I don’t understand the thinking of drafting an OT in the 1st round this year. We need immediate impact players, not players who will sit on the bench until 2025. I understand Lane has the injury risk but we don’t have the luxury to draft his replacement yet, at least not with our top 2 picks. Glaring holes across the roster this year and next.

I bought into that thinking right up to the point where Kelce decided to come back.  That decision made playing Jurgens at RG a higher priority than playing either Johnson or Jones at RG.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Wow. Awful for him but so fortunate to detect it now.

Crazy to think one guy likely saved two players lives since this is the same doctor that detected something wrong with Dorenbos heart.

Paris Johnson looked real polished during drills , very impressive .

I know I am probably in the minority because of the whole "never take a RB in the first round stuff" but I would be stoked if they traded back a few, picked up some picks and took him.

Having a player like that with the weapons on this team already? Unstoppable.

I tried that trade back a few in this Mock, but missed Bijan … had to settle for Gibbs instead.  Lots of hard to pass up trades were offered by the simulator and I was pleased with the results.  With that said, I do not understand their D grades on Gibbs and Mauch.

How many Howie’s?

I have been a big proponent of not taking a RB in the 1st but looking at this draft and who could be at 10 I'm not a big fan of any guy at other positions or if I am the eagles don't really need that position.

I mean they aren't taking WR at 10 I think an OT at 10 to sit on the bench is a waste, I'm not really in love with any of the DL guys but Bijan at 10 would be the best At his position possibly top player in the draft regardless of position and is a position of need and a position that would take the eagles offense to an insane level

The only position I could see them taking at 10 that has some players and they need is CB but this is a real deep corner draft so...

In this instance I'd be perfectly fine with eagles taking Bijan at 10.

I like him but I'm not sure I'm sold on spending a top 10 pick on a guy that's sitting the bench.

I disagree with the eagles going running back in the first round. I don't think they bring in Penny if that was the case.

RB

Kenny Gainwell

Rashad Penny

Boston Scott

Trey Sermon

Kennedy Brooks

The team is very high on Gainwell, they also like to dress Scott. I don't see a way they cut or not dress a healthy Penny to field a first round running back.

What’s a "healthy penny?”

Think its more like getting kicked out of a restaurant because you told the staff about the C roaches roaming around, and then when they leave a review on yelp, the restaurant is mad about it saying dont leave that review.

Think we found one of people crying in the youtube comments.

A healthy uninjured Rashad Penny. Unlike most of his career.

By allergic to tackling do you mean not a good tackler or afraid to hit?

Yes

I don't think signing Penny to a very small deal impacts how they draft.  Odds are against them going RB early obviously but I don't think Penny factors in

Does Wright have the nimbleness and requisite athleticism to be a Stoutland style Right Tackle?

I think he does, but inthink Breeland could be that too

Penny’s cap number is 1.2M. The Eagles did exactly what you would expect them to do if they are targeting a top back. Pick up a cheap player with upside in case you don’t get him in the draft.

For all the doctors in here........how do you have an aortic aneurysm and not know it?  Seems like there would be signs or maybe not.

Not until it bursts many times…

They’re not going RB in round 1 people lost their minds.

Anyone who is a "franchise” player at his position is a unicorn. We have unicorns at both tackles, Center, and probably at QB.

Wrong

Or they know you can get a quality RB for dirt cheap on a second contract without committing major resources to it.

Which was my point.

I know it’s unlikely but I could get behind a RB at #30. At #10, no way no how. That would be

Not convinced that it is, IF you believe the valuation of Robinson. You’d lock in 5/6 years of an elite combination that would cover Hurts’ prime, and likely keep him upright far more. And you’d do it on a rookie wage scale. If this was a middling running back I’d agree, grab a 4th round guy and move on. But it’s not that.
