We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

The irony of this being you kicking up the dirt. Let’s just stick to talking football.

He did and, frankly, I don’t see what difference it should make to anyone if the Panthers said straight out that Stroud will be the pick.  Holding the #1 overall pick means no one else is affected negatively if the information is out there.

I seem to recall the Rams making it pretty clear they were taking Goff at #1 just before the Eagles traded up to #2

I thought in the past some teams made it known publicly who was going #1

I’m sure they have.  Part of it might be ESPN and the other networks trying to cultivate drama on draft night with the increased viewership.  I seem to recall the league and networks being ticked off with the Lions two years in a row for making their first round picks immediately, rather than milking the clock.

Just funny that they tried to pretend like they like two or three QBs and were open to trading down. Of course they were going to 1 for a specific guy.

Not convinced that it is, IF you believe the valuation of Robinson. You’d lock in 5/6 years of an elite combination that would cover Hurts’ prime, and likely keep him upright far more. And you’d do it on a rookie wage scale. If this was a middling running back I’d agree, grab a 4th round guy and move on. But it’s not that.

It would have to be an insanely weak draft to convince me there isn’t someone in the top 10 that isn’t a better option, accounting for both impact and longevity and factoring in positional value. I also think we have to live with the reality that Hurts won’t just become a solely pocket QB although that is a desired outcome. Him with read options is what makes him special.

Just look at the players taken immediately after or in the vicinity of Elliott, McCaffrey and Barkley. Several players who would have been better selections. It’s hindsight but there are rare, if any, situations of taking a RB that high and being the correct decision. Just my opinion.

Lucky the Cowboys jumped the gun and didn't just wait it out to land Hopkins.  I'm worried about the Giants going for him at this point.

I disagree with the eagles going running back in the first round. I don't think they bring in Penny if that was the case.

RB

Kenny Gainwell

Rashad Penny

Boston Scott

Trey Sermon

Kennedy Brooks

The team is very high on Gainwell, they also like to dress Scott. I don't see a way they cut or not dress a healthy Penny to field a first round running back.

I dont  think trey sermon or Kennedy Brooks are reasons to not draft Bijan Robinson , and frankly either is Penny, with his Injury history he can't be counted on.

Dressing 4 RBs on GameDay isn't unheard of.

They used to be able to sign them to contracts before the draft even started. It made sense to stop that to at least build some intrigue.

I could see the Chiefs going after him at that price which is less than ideal.

I tend to agree only snag is that O’Brien is the OC and they didn’t exactly see eye to eye with each other by the end and trade from houston

What you really mean is if James Conner isn’t involved it’s a no deal

I'm not involved in moderating, banning, suspending or any of that so I don't know what took place for people to get banned, suspended or any of that.

Don’t think it is a deal breaker but probably gotta mend some fences first.

My main argument is I would have cashed out after 3 years for $50M and not push my luck.

Maybe we get to the Super Bowl under your plan, and maybe we don't. But we did get there under Howie's plan.

I thought Mecole Hardman would have been an interesting addition for us.  Instant juice in the return game and could be useful in the slot and as the weapon in space for this offense with sweeps, reverses, screens, etc.

I mean look who is catching the balls at Ohio. Top 5 pick next year and he has only throw to 5 star WRs his time in college. I don't trust Ohio St. QBs to be successful at the next lvl.

Dude glides at 6'3.5"
