I would trade draft picks for a pro bowl safety and the best pass rushing prospect since Von Miller

Having said that I should also mention budda has value because he can also slide down and cover the slot.

He's a good safety and still relatively young(26) but I just couldn't see Howie paying him.

Just brought myself to come back after the SB loss and make him rock his new avatar and he's banned!

Anderson is pretty explosive. He's worth every penny we would spend to trade up. Best player in the draft and it's not close IMO.

He's more a straight line speed guy to me, like I said he lacks the bend Von Miller had

Also depends how many 3 man fronts  Desai is going to run as I think Anderson is more suited as a stand up edge rusher, 34 type, asking him to play DE in a 4 man front and set the edge isn't his game.

Having said that I can't see Howie trading up from 10 and Anderson will be long gone by then, if anything Howie more than likely trades back, not up.

Personally I think the best player in the draft is Bijan Robinson but he's a RB so...

The thing people are missing about Van Ness is he played all over the line at Iowa.  He wouldn't come here and just be a DE.  Think of him as a more explosive, more versatile Andy Harmon.

lmao what?

First round is all about elite upside. Especially top 10. Don't think you can settle for solid and steady with a 10th pick. Nothing about Van Ness screams high upside to me. You want difference makers up there.

I’m sure irsay likes the prospects of a hooker on his bender

No one is a bigger fan of an expensive Hooker than me .... but they could just take him at #35 overall.  He's 25 and will have to redshirt a year recovering from an ACL.

Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan were talking yesterday on their show about Hooker going in the first round.  I'm not buying it.

Whoa now slow your roll.

Andy Harmon was one of the quickest most explosive DTs of his short Era, Injuries limited and ended his career but he was a great pass rusher high effort guy.

Van Ness isn't really that explosive, he's a bit stiff in the hips, he has good speed and great length good strength but he doesn't really explode off the ball. He reminds me of a faster Brandon Whiting

A guy who could set the edge at DE then slide down on passing downs and rush the passer but never explosive.

Agree on the 25 years old thing but he's trending to be healthy for the start of the season.  Might not be the best version of himself as a rookie but he'll play.

Lions & Falcons would be tempted to take whoever falls to them in that case. Maybe even a team like the Titans, Bucs, Ravens* would trade up. Would be incredible if Colts traded down to like 9 and took Hooker to make 5 QBs go before us.

Is Davion Taylor still 2 years away from being 2 years away?  Wish that guy would turn into something

He peed his way back to 180

Yup mee too.

Guy is pretty athletic and when he does manage to get in position to make a tackle he can bring it but the dude instinctually still looks lost

He played really well year before in pre season then got hurt then came out this year and In pre season looked like he'd never played football before.🤷‍♂️

Would be nice if the light went on for him but I think he's ultimately a toothless shark...☹️

I could see it at the very end of the first round by a team wanting the 5th year option on him if they thought he was a late 1st round or early 2nd round prospect

Bijan is going to be there at 10 and will be the BPA. Will be very interesting to see if Howie does the unthinkable.

Well, that explains why Minshew left for the Colts.  Honestly, good for him, he finally gets a chance to start.  I've heard great things about Herndon Hooker.

Why does Vegas want another QB?  Didn't they just sign Garoppolo?

This is what I'm seeing as well. I don't want a stiff bull rusher at 10.

I'm a huge fan of this move.  If Howie picks Bijan, he will be OROY here in Philly.

However, I think Howie could slide down 4-5 picks or so and still get Bijan.   Bijan at 14 + a 3rd or 4th round pick?  That would be most outstanding.

Would be a polarizing move either way. He would instantly be a top 5 RB in the NFL with a good chance of being the best by the end of the season behind this line.
