I'm not saying it's not a loss but I think Graham is the more effective player and far better leader. Not only that, they have invested a 3rd round pick in Milton Williams and 1st round pick in Jordan Davis at DT. It's time to play them. If you bring back Hargrave and draft a DT in the mid rounds they should have more than enough at the position.

I'm not going to lose sleep if they bring back White and not TJ, especially if someone is dumb enough to give TJ a moderately big contract. I think TJ is a better player but he is still a liability in coverage as seen in the SB. A lot of the decisions they make about who is back and who isn't are going to have to come down to money. Replacing one LB with Dean is something I am in favor of, replacing both would kind of suck though.

I'd like to see Williams and Davis starting at DT next year, with some level of combined modest (but not insignificant) veteran and mid round draft pick investment to bolster the rotation.  

This is why we have the draft.  Hurts is about to get expensive.  We shouldn't have to pay a 30 year old Hargrave a ton of money.  We've got first and third round picks at DT.  If we aren't going to let them play, then we should have drafted something or someone else.

i don’t know how dre’mont jones fits into the next defense but if he does fit the scheme we he makes more sense then hargrave as he’s 26 years old and in his prime so if you are willing to pay for the position then you likely have him for the next 4 years of his prime.

He's fine in coverage (for a LB), he's just awful in run support if the DL doesn't do the heavy lifting for him.

3T/4i: Hargrave and Milton less than 65% of the snaps

3T/4i: Draft pick and FA 35%+ snaps - maybe Tui but I think he is PS material, probably rather have Suh cheap than pay Fletch (as I think Fletch thinks he can play for a couple more years for decent money).

NT/4i: JD 40%+ and another NT on the PS (Elliss) or LJ on speed dial.

Why? What record of success has he shown? He has a record, mediocre results, and Occam's Razor should be applied. The easiest prediction is that his results will be the same. I posted earlier that if the OC is internal then the DC should be external but I'd take a shot on Dennard Wilson before Joseph if that is the choice

I like Dean and a White personally. White will be Cheap enough to extend a couple of seasons. TJ will get us a 3rd rounder next season. Dean’s instincts/first step is crazy.

The NFL is so full of it.  They say that the QB sneak scrum doesn't showcase the athleticism and skillset of their players and it isn't aesthetically pleasing....give me a mother effing break.

So a play that is successful and quite frankly, showcases that the core skills that football was built around..you know, get low, drive your legs and brute strength is now on the chopping block....however, you can kneel on the ball 3 straight plays to run the clock.  Which has a worse effect on showcasing skills and being pleasing to look at?

Agree with all of this. It’s time to let Milton and Davis take over. Would much rather put money into Dre’Mont Jones then Hargrave or Cox who I was very big on coming into draft season would be solid. Your 4th DT can be a comp between Marlon, Ellis, and a later round pick. 

The worst thing we can do is overpay for Bradberry and Hargrave. We'll get a 3 and a 4 for them and save $ to pay Hurts. Easy decisions.
