RIP Frank LeMaster

Never actually saw him play but I know he was a big part of those early late 70s early 80s teams.

If 100% healthy and looks like he did pre-broken fibula in training camp, then I'd lean towards Penny. I'm hoping a RB comes in through the draft. I doubt it's Bijan, Gibbs has a better shot I think but the odds aren't in our favor since we never drafted a RB in the first round. Roschon Johnson is someone they met with who seems to make a lot of sense. Should be there in round 3.

I really like Roschon Johnson.  When asked where he'd be the best fit,   he answered Eagles Definitely.  I don't think he's the best RB.  I don't necessarily think the Eagles need another RB. I'm noticing that his 10 split keeps getting better and better, which is suspicious.   Right after the combine,  he had a 1.57 10 split.  Now it's 1.52,  which is pretty great. For a short bit there, it was 1.54.   But he's a near physical match to Hurts. Same height, weight, 40 time.  And he was a top running QB coming out of HS,  played in the UA A-A game. Then he gets to Texas, injuries to running backs,  behind Sam Ehlinger, and he's a RB,  then the next year, Bijan Robinson shows up.  He's solid, big, does everything well,  could be who you hand it to in the 4th Q to run out the clock.  A month ago,  Penny wasn't here,  and Scott was predicted to be gone. So,who knows?

Would Roschon Johnson at RB + small, speedy RB who could in theory play in the slot (Keaton Mitchell, 6th round) be too much?  Can you get Keaton Mitchell and say "we upgraded the slot position, he can stretch the field"?    Roschon Johnson is now on mock draft database at 4th round 117.

I like Roschon Johnson as well.

Reminds me of Correll Buckhalter in that they're both about the same size and both were backups with low usage in college so still plenty of tread on the tires

Buckhalter went 4th Round I could see Roschon Johnson anywhere from 3rd-5th.

I think he'd be a great pickup for the eagles RB room, penny can't really be counted and after him eagles don't really have a bigger physical back.

If he's there in the 4th I'd snatch him up quick!

You started your post with "If”. If Gainwell can produce through a whole season at the level he produced in the playoffs then I’d lean towards Gainwell.  But that is just as iffy as having Penny pre-broken fibula.

I suspect we will see RBBC.

Yeah Freeland looks a little light in the pants but we'll see, Dillard bulked up and anchored better was more physical I'm sure Freeland can as well.

I'm sure Stout would love to have an athlete like Freeland to work with.

Yup those verts are crazy for an OT shows some explosion, but yeah Freeland is a little more stiff than dillard.

Never seen witt play I'll have to go check him out.

very little Witt video on youtube actually playing football.  more basketball.   Freeland and Witt have that lanky LT body type.  The Eagles have the RT sized tackle - Mailata - at LT.

Freeland and Witt are both so similar,  but I'd have to give Freeland some points for playing 4 years at OT for BYU compared to 1.5 years at OT for a DII school.  Freeland was 3rd team AA,  Witt was 2nd team all Gliac.   Would have to think that Freeland has the higher floor.  Not going to get Freeland in the 7th round, and I wouldn't argue that there is any immediate need for a new OT to play any time soon.  I would think they'd both be good picks.

Here's people talking about him.  He was a WR.  People there know him.  One of the guys there says they've seen him run a 4.5 40 at a lower weight.  finding video of him actually playing football is tricky.

Commies at pff are making me pay for the mock drafts now. I’m sure someone in the blog complained to them about too many posters posting their mocks in here.

Yeah I saw that too.  Too bad.

I trust Stout’s judgment explicitly.  If either Witt or Freeland are in Training Camp im totally cool with that.

I have a hard time seeing how Wagner doesn't benefit Eagles more than Cox but I know how much they value DT over LB

I probably would’ve done that deal. But I’d have done CJGJ too. Hope Howie has more on the horizon. The LBs and safeties as of right now are not Super Bowl caliber.

You like Tippman more than Mauch?

re: Wagner

I think 7 is a bit much but its only a 1 year commitment. He is worth more to Seattle because of the legacy so good move for both sides. They can use all the help on D they can get.

Why else be here?

The bewbs thread

To convince Wagner to come to Philly, you'd have to outbid Seattle and he's not worth 7+M.

Reading explosion. Hope yall out there are ok

This is the way.

Nah so much of the game is about change of direction and balance

I’ll put it this way — if I could have only one athletic measurement from the combine, I would take the 40.

If you know a player’s height, weight, and 40 you have a REALLY good idea of how good of an athlete he is.

I suspect he he'll do something of consequence before the season but it's not a good enough group today
