Nobody has dismissed Foles.  He was what he was.  Just for grins what is your comparison of post 2017 Super Bowl Foles to post 2013 Pro Bowl Foles?

What are you driving at here? Maybe it’s late, but I can’t make sense of your question

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

If you think the oft-injured Penny on a 1 year 1M deal or Gainwell are starting RBs then I’m not sure I can talk any more sense into you. At best they are a committee.

Someone has to start the game … unless they go empty set to start the game.

Defending Gainwell while dismissing Foles in the same point. Think I’ve seen it all now on the EMB.

Not my intention as you describe.

Probably could have worded it better.  Take your teeth off my neck, thanks.

How would you compare the career status of Nick Foles in March 2014 with the career status of Nick Foles in March 2018?

TE is feisty, ready to rumble...wonder why?

And if the Eagles don’t select a RB in the Draft?

Honestly I could see Howie letting the draft go by, seeing what they have, let the evaluation play out, and then trade for a RB and Safety in like August ha

1 year 7 mil... Damn it Howie

Wagner got a 5 year, $50M contract from the Rams last offseason, and they cut him after one year.  They ate about $8M of salary just to get rid of him.

You are going too deep into a simple off the cuff comparison. The point is that Gainwell is still a rotational back until proven otherwise, regardless of his effectiveness in the playoff run this year.

I hope you end up being right but it’s too early to question someone saying that he’s not a starter.

I think you will admit that you have to give G a shot at getting the majority of carries over a few games after the way he ended the season/post season, yeah?

I think we have to or we might miss something right in front of us.  Little son of a **** did well and I think earned a shot at being THE guy.

Passive aggressive much?

Looking forward to your next 250 page summary where you pass out compliments to everyone else like Halloween candy but give me a bar of soap and preach that we’re cool while handing it to me.

Honestly I’ve kept myself out of the mud in here as of late but you really have a way about you. Why don’t you say what you really mean.

Out of everyone on the current roster absolutely. I don’t see them passing up on this incredibly deep RB class though.

Living in Kansas I'm obligated to root for K St.

Their point guard is pretty good.

👍

Watched Kstate and MSU at River City Brewery. Alzavino may be one of my new favorites in town.  More of a wine guy than a beer guy.

I pegged you as living in SLC

I was born in SLC lived there for  most my life, Lived in New Zealand for 2 years, Go All blacks! Lived in SF for 5 years now live in Wichita KS.

My wife works at Wichita St. But they didn't make the tourney this year...☹️

These type comparisons never cease to befuddle me.

Foles was lightning in a bottle, unleashed, all due respect, and then some. Build him a Statue....oh, Done Deal.

Gainwell is an ongoing concern, certainly capable, often surprising and definitely durable.

Let's let it play out without taking a chainsaw to his future.

That would be facile.

This is unfair, with reference to Foles I mean.

I've aways described Nick Files like this:

He has two modes. Like two different 'personas' almost on the football field. One mode is career journeyman, which is the one he's had during most of his career. However, he has this other mode called 'literally Hall of Famer' which seems to come out sometimes. And when he's in that latter mode, most of which has occurred with us, he basically drops dime after dime for almost no reason at all, and can pretty much beat anyone.

The problem is, trying to get that latter mode out of him consistently is more or less impossible. The Vikings in 2017 more or less lost because Nick got into "Literally Hall of Famer" mode just when they least needed him to. Patriots died because yet again, they ran straight into that. Like.

Okay. So, tell anyone who hasn't watched that Super Bowl somehow that Nick Foles ends up being our QB, and that our defense was basically useless for 55 minutes of the game against Tom Brady and the Patriots. They'd probably all guess the Patriots won. But that didn't happen.

He's just a weird guy, honestly. Super thankful to him but he's definitely one of the strangest players I've ever seen. Often a journeyman, but just sometimes he becomes almost unbeatable. Not sure I'll ever figure that one out.

You and I (maybe someone else in there) were pretty excited when we signed him off the Saints’ PS. He was a nice find for Howie. But, yeah, seems like Howie is a little too attached. Maybe he has a Boston Scott Fathead in his office.

Loved the Scott signing from the Sain’ts PS. Like that they brought him back. Cheap enough.

Almost pegged then lol. My wife and I went to Utah 2 years back and it was the best trip of my life. At least the most memorable/beautiful. Flew into SLC then did salt flats, Arches, Canyonland, Page, AZ (slot canyons & horseshoe), Zion, then Vegas.

River city Brewery is good food, good location and atmosphere.

Never been to Alzavino, I don't drink but I'm glad you liked it, I'm sure there were plenty of people at river city reppin there K st and Wichita St jerseys and shirts.

Evans love to hit in college , violent . He looks to tackle , did he miss too many tackles ? Yes he did , but he didn’t hide from them

Body thrower never a tackler. Allergic to tackling.

Bobby Wagner is a shell of himself. He got 7 million to go back home in Seattle meaning the Eagles would have had to pay more. People are ****ing we didn't get Bobby Wagner 🙄

Wow.

It's okay. Once again, it's a Message Board. Opinions, strategies, discourse, conjecture...

Sorry I highlighted you in my Blog Synopsis 2 weeks ago...musta lit a candle...not on purpose...

We did this before, so, Paddy Chayefsky.

The level of concern in here can become absolutely radiant.

When a guy hits the long ball just when you need him to removes all prior debate.

He's your hero, and that's that!

That sounds awesome, Arches is one of my favorite places on earth, been multiple times as well as all the other parks in S. Utah

Growing up in Utah the salt flats aren't a big draw unless one has a jet car and is trying to break a land speed record, but I could see how people who have never seen it would want to.

Never been to page Arizona though I've been through Arizona numerous times usually on the way to Cali, for some reason never stopped at horse show bend or any of their slot canyons, but I'd like to, looks awesome.

As for Vegas, we used to go every summer, my wife and I don't gamble but we go for the shows and the buffets and walk the strip, it's always fun.

Glad you got to go out and see all that, there's a lot I don't miss about living in Utah but one thing I miss is the mountains and the Red Rock.☹️

Not a Jersey in the joint.  Where can I get a good chicken Cesar salad or wrap in this town, preferably with a glass of vino.  Do you get out in the Flint Hills much?  This year the Nature Conservancy is opening their tall grass prairie preserve and as a member, I can’t wait.
