We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Lamar asks to be traded.

I think he’s at a stalemate. the fact that the ravens arent going to trade him for anything less than the two first round picks that the tag they applied to him is worth. I don’t see them budging off that.  Frankly, if I was trading a quarterback of his talent, I would be asking probably for more since he’s young.

But at the same time I can see other teams saying we don’t wanna pay him what he’s searching for in a contract and give up that type of compensation. Add on he hasn’t finished a season over the last 2 years.  I have a hard time believing there’s a team out there willing to give up that compensation and then just give into his contract demands unless a team becomes desperate like the Jets like if they can’t get an Aaron Rodgers deal done. Or the Colts miss out on their guy. Or another team misses out on a quarterback in the draft.

However, I still think at that point in time those teams are not willing to again give him a fully guaranteed contract and pay 2 first round picks knowing he hasn’t finished a season in two years. Maybe some becomes desperate over time but right now think it’s a stalemate

Lamar Jackson has handled this all poorly, but the way the Ravens are dealing with this is funny to me.

Lamar could come out tomorrow and say "The Ravens suck, I hate them, and I’m never playing another game for them again” and when asked to comment on it Harbaugh will be like “*giggles* oooh that darned Lamar being Lamar, we look forward to winning games with him next season!”

Apparently Devin white Bucs LB tweeted out to eagles.

He wants to be traded, he's in the last year of his rookie contract, not sure how much Howie would give up on a trade for a LB 🤷‍♂️

Man, would be a dream for me. But to give up quality assets and big money for an off the ball LB? We all know this answer.

Wouldn't surprise me if the Ravens are secretly thrilled that he wants out.

They are probably sick of the nonsense and distraction and just want to move on.

I understand Lamar wants to get what he thinks he's worth but he's going about it the wrong way.

If I were the Ravens, I'd be like peace out...later bro.

If Lamar finds a team who gives him a huge deal and Baltimore matches it, it’s still just an offer right? He simply converts from non exclusive to exclusive to Baltimore, but is otherwise unemployed until he signs the paper. So that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s staying; he could still demand a trade

The Ravens are a top 10 offense with Lamar and a bottom 3 offense without Lamar, per EPA. Ravens need Lamar more than vice-versa.

I don't think so. He would be agreeing to a contract and Baltimore would have to honor the contract, and so would Lamar.

Outside of San Francisco, that's probably the case for every team that loses their starting QB

Well, their backup QB is a dime store version of Lamar who went undrafted.  Safe to say if the Ravens move on that Huntley wouldn't be their heir-apparent at the position.

Right now and for much of this offseason, I really have no idea what the Eagles might do.  Can’t remember being this unsure in a draft.  Don’t know the defense because the coaches are so new,   Howie’s extensions and signings read Cap more than a defense design. This draft suggests trust the board, listen to offers that favor the team and BPA.  But the biggest hole is RG, not DT (Williams, Davis, Marlon T). Well P too as Sisposs cost them a Lombardi, Future wise CB is accurate too.

I am pretty sure they view Jurgens as the starter next season.  I don't see them using top 100 picks three years in a row for IOL.  RG or C may be needs but they're depth picks for at least next season.

DT depends on the performance of Milton Williams and Davis.  Certainly they must think they need to continue to invest in DT because they value the position and especially interior defensive pressure.  I think CB is a higher priority because of Slay and Bradberry's ages.

I don't know what they will do either. My guess is there's not a lot of certainty for the FO either. If they trade up I think it will be for Anderson or Carter.  It's possible they like one of the other DE prospects as well.  If they trade down, I think the board is wide open with the exception of LB and QB.

I'm hopeful Quentin Johnston doesn't get drafted to an NFC East rival.  The guy looks like a bonafide downfield menace.

I think at this point teams are just waiting till after the draft. I can see a team like the Raiders or Commanders bringing him and giving up 2 first-rounders but in 2024 and 2025. Plus his price might come down after the draft as well.

I’m so happy we’re not in a situation where we’re linked to him. If there’s any gift Hurts gives, it’s that

I was a fan until he sat out the playoffs last year. Showing the world it’s not about football, he just wants to get paid

One particular member, who has since demanded that his account be deleted and all content be removed, knew my personal YouTube channel. I explained to him that I wanted to keep it separated from the EMB because there's always that one or two people that will end up banned and will be idiots and will want to go and harass just for the sake of their own idiocy. So I asked him to just keep it to himself (figuring that there was probably a 50% or less chance of him honoring his word).

I can't say for sure if he's the one doing it (or if he was even the only one that knew my personal channel but he's the only one that ever mentioned it to me), or maybe handed out my channel name to the others who've departed (or may still be here), so that they could harass me but when things blew up, I figured I'd start to see some harassment of some kind on my personal channel, and sure enough, I have.

Once again, why protect the identity of these protagonist types? Your decorum is to be applauded but enough is enough.

Put their names out there, if you're sure, expose them for their behavior, give us a chance to have a go at them.

Transparency is a great equalizer...

Harder time seeing the raiders after they paid Jimmy g. Don’t think they could fit lamar and Jimmy G cap numbers. Jimmy g is 24 mil against the cap and it’s an issue of having both as Jimmy g would likely ask out and would have to be post June to make it work for raiders. Not sure ravens would be interested in Jimmy g. Might want to just go Huntley and see where the chips land in 2023. Washington i could see.

I can think of 22 teams that aren't a top 10 offense with their starting qb.

Teams can trade for him now for whatever they want. It doesn't have to be 2 firsts or any picks in this year. I'd think most teams would want it figured out before the draft so they can pivot if needed.

I think the problem is how much time the Ravens have spent without Lamar over the last 2 seasons.  He has missed 10 games over the last 2 seasons.  He has not put up numbers similar to his MVP season.  They may be better with him but signing him to the deal he wants doesn't mean it's they will have him or have him at his past level of play.

It would be contingent on a long term deal. Just like the Brown trade.

Why do that?  It makes the trade much much more expensive.  By doing it that way you are giving the Titans negotiating leverage.

Also think the raiders are out due to signing Jimmy G. I can’t see them trading for lamar and then having Jimmy g and lamar. And i don’t think an nfl team is gonna do a FA signing they just made dirty like that.

My post got deleted WTF - any post making fun of HE should be applauded :nonono:

The Ravens are going nowhere with Lamar…they are terrible without him, but it accelerates their rebuild rather than handcuffs it.

Think we have had enough of going after one another. Thats how people already got banned.

I think most NFL decision makers see Lamar Jackson as a declining asset (player) who looks to be on a clear path of faster decline.  Jackson can either:

1)  Show up and play on the tag for $32M (not likely)

2)  Sit down at the table again with the Ravens and work out a fair contract

3)  Wait until after the draft and see if any teams miss out on QB and become motivated to give him an offer sheet

I suspect it will either end up being #2, or the Jets might come calling if they get tired of waiting on Rodgers and the Packers.
