Between ESP calling him "Rashard" on the radio and now spelling his name "Rashead", he's the beat writer Philly deserves.

Lol. Packers going through it too.

Even look at the best RB's taken in the 1st round in the past 20ish years, LT, Peterson, Steven Jackson, etc. How many Super Bowls did those guys win?

I think teams have strategically moved away from having a single running back to rely on. It just doesn't make sense with the rate they get injured and how much that would hamper the running game. Modern RBs are breaking down in 6-8 years. There's not a lot of value in drafting a player in the 1st round if in the best case scenario you're only going to get 8 years max out of them. You want a 1st rounder to be a 3 contract type of player, not almost be on the tail end of their career at the end of their 1st contract.

Yup even in 2011 gurley and Gordon went top 10 both broke down pretty early and flamed out pretty quick.

Zeke went 4th cowboys ran him Into ground for who for what 🤷‍♂️

Barkley is always hurt and what have the giants done since drafting him 2nd overall except suck.

It's a poor allocation of resources especially when RBs can be found late.

Still a guy like Bijan is tempting, I think if a back is going in the first these days he better be a good receiver as well and Bijan is

I still wouldn't take him at 10, at 30 no question but I don't think he lasts til 30

To be fair I think he always looks like that.

Which means he's either a highly functional alcoholic or just looks like he is...

He seems out on Lance.

This is definitely not coachspeak when dealing with a lot of middle to low end talent.  No sir.

That's why it's tough to just compare production across positions.  Yes, we can talk about ill-defined success rate at various positions in round 1, but not all production is created equally.  I think a lot of rushing yards are generic and cheap.  So a round 1 RB needs to do a LOT more than merely man the starting spot for a few years.  To me, that's practically a bust.  They need some above and beyond production.

I can't see why NFL wouldn't approve 0. It's like printing money for new jerseys.  They likey that

Well, he’s not my guy at 10. And just because you live a player doesn’t mean taking him is the best move for your team. Everything is an opportunity cost.

Im just making the point that if you have a guy you LOVE at 14, take him at ten and don’t risk Dallas or whoever making a move for him. The assumption that you can perfectly predict drafts and get cute and move at will can lead to missing your guy.

I don’t want to trade out of 10 expecting a blue chip to be available at 15, only to find he’s not and you traded your way past a tier drop.
