NFC scout on Iowa CB Riley Moss: "Moss doesn't have the best long speed, but it's good enough. But his short-area quickness, balance and body control are elite. His quickness might be the best in the class of Round 2 guys." #NFLDraft

NFC college scouting director on Penn St. CB Joey Porter Jr: "He's so long but moves really well in terms of short-area quickness and change of direction. It's pretty rare for his size." #NFLDraft

AFC GM on Illinois CB Devon Witherspoon: "He's better than a lot of the guys in recent years, maybe outside of Sauce [Gardner] and Pat Surtain II. "He's good. I think he'll be a top-10 cornerback early in his career." #NFLDraft

NFC scout on Kansas St. CB Julius Brents: "I watched him against Texas, TCU and Alabama, and he had no problem keeping up with those guys. That answers the speed question for me."

That same scout told @nfldraftscout he has an early 2nd round grade on Brents. #NFLDraft

NFC General Manager on the 2023 corner group: "This year's cornerback class is really good. There might not be a Sauce Gardner, but there are five-six legit Day 1 starters and a handful of CB2 and CB3 types in here." #NFLDraft

.@MelKiperESPN on Mississippi St. CB Emmanuel Forbes: "Fourteen career interceptions, six pick-sixes—one off Will Levis this year. He's 6'1", ran a 4.35 at the combine, missed only one game in his career and it wasn’t for an injury.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Which one is ebony maw?

I like him a lot, but he’s not really intriguing. He’s a guy who would be a good all around back and give you a little bit of everything, but I don’t see him adding anything special to the offense. Good player, good prospect, would be happy to have him, but wouldn’t expect him to make the offense noticeably better:

I think the three guys I mentioned might make the offense as a whole better than otherwise better RBs would simply because of their skill set.

Let me put it to you a different way.  Who would you rather have … Boston Scott or Kendra Miller?

Jeffrey Simmons seems like a Jason Peters type trade Howie will definitely explore

I don’t know if we can make the money work, but I guarantee Howie is seeing how he might be able to make it work.

Miller.

The opportunity cost would be Scott and a 4th (I’m guessing) or Miller though. And in that case I keep Scott.

what the hell's been going on in here?

some idiots take this place so seriously that they started harassing VA's personal youtube page?

Im just making the point that if you have a guy you LOVE at 14, take him at ten and don’t risk Dallas or whoever making a move for him. The assumption that you can perfectly predict drafts and get cute and move at will can lead to missing your guy.

I don’t want to trade out of 10 expecting a blue chip to be available at 15, only to find he’s not and you traded your way past a tier drop.

At 10 you take your highest rated player with a slight weighting towards need and and alternatives.

This draft specifically I don’t think there is likely to be much of a difference between the guy available at 10 and the guy at 15. That’s the way I read the class.

Ironic that you would say that they take this place too serious, seeing as some of the assumed accused are former posters who would regularly tell other posters they were berating that they took this place too serious ...

If I agreed with your valuation of the player I would agree. I don’t. Nor does the consensus grade. To say nothing of the fact that at this level 10% is significant.

The consensus grade has him as a top 5 talent in a weak first round who is often mocked as being drafted in the 20’s because of his position.

Strengths are balance and working in traffic. He doesn’t have exceptional speed or receiving ability. Good prospect, but again, not transcendent.

That and they may only end up with one year of him. Hard to tell with him and I'm not sure that even he knows.

I mean if they have a team bonding trip where they all do drugs with him in a dark place it probably would help him commit to a second year

Yeah, this corner class is great. Banks and Forbes are my favorites as far as value.

Tbh I’d love to see sermon at some level. We basically got him last year and kept him in bubble wrap for a year. So he has limited miles on him and should know the offense better as he’s been here for a season and has an entire offseason. Who knows if he hits but frankly I’d love to see what he looks like in camp and preseason. Low key i wouldn’t be shocked if he was our prestigious training camp award winner.

Speaking of jerseys when are they unveiling kelly green?

I’m guessing around draft they’ll release what it looks like. But probably not for sale until closer to the season that’s when fanatics usually restocks their jerseys

Sack incentives

Why no inclusion of sack incentives?   :nonono:. Lurie is so cheap!

I'm still trying to catch up so I'm not even sure who "they" are in this case. I just think it's beyond juvenile and petty for anyone to be so upset about the mods that you'd go and harass the one person who has selflessly given so much of his own time to stand up these boards in the first place, and he's not even the one doing the moderation FFS.

Yes, because they don't take this place that seriously, but would always complain about those who they claim do.

Things around here seem much more serene recently... and thank goodness for it.

You would be correct.   And I'm betting you know exactly who "they" are without having to give it too much thought.

There are no Kelly green jerseys, that was just a collective dream we all had, hoping that the Eagles would actually do the right thing by the fans.  But, instead, we were given an all-black uniform, including the helmet.  (Ironically, the helmet color was always the lame reason given for why Kelly green jerseys were no longer an option under Lurie.)

I'll believe that the Kelly green is actually back when I see it with my own eyes.  Frankly, I don't think that they will get the color right, and we'll have an 'almost' kelly green jersey option.  And looking at that will be like looking at the 'art' that was posted by RTK... It will almost look like something, but will likely give nightmares to small children.

I've been away for a few days so I'm not sure if it's someone who was recently banned or someone part of the group that got banned just before the super bowl or some combo there of, but either way, it's just pathetic. Some people get stuck in a middle school mentality and never grow out of that phase.

Yup for anyone to attack VA is either clueless or just horrible or both, it's a shame, none of us would be here without VA so.

I guess some just want to burn the world down so they can rule over the ashes...

I thought Lurie said it would happen in 2023
