Samari Rolle was a really good corner, was 6-0, 175.

People always talk about the Watts and the Mannings and the Bosas, but the Rolles were an awesome football family of cousins

Antonie Winfield Sr was the closest guy I could think of, but he was around 180.

Donte Jackson is also around 180 and has flashed but it seems he's falling apart already at 27.

What's the "Wow" for?  The Bengals had 3 QBs dressed for their AFC Championship Game.

Poor roster management and poor blocking shouldn't necessitate a rule change.

At some point they need to make personal fouls or pass interference reviewable in 4th quarters.

Make everything a 5 yard penalty unless the player that is the victim of the  foul is injured or have a penalty box for 2 plays.

They should separately add 00, in MLB they’re 2 distinct jersey numbers

Give me Simmons over Byard 9 days/week

I think he’s too expensive as far as draft capital and ensuing contract. In a different team situation he’d be a dream(not re-signing Cox or Barnett would have done it), but we could get Byard, upgrade our DBs from last year, and also keep both 1sts while comfortably keeping it affordable for the cap

Byard just feels way more realistic

What's even crazier for the Packers.  They haven't had a starting QB not named Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers since 1991...the great Don Majkowski.

How come we can't afford Simmons when this is Byard's contract below

Yup.  The 3rd QB rule was in place when they were dressing 45 players on game day.  THEN, the NFL just made the 46th spot (which was the subject of the 3rd QB rule) and just made it easier for the 3rd QB to come in or come out without all the stipulations, etc.   So, NFL teams get the same 45 players they always got, PLUS they got the extra spot that had been reserved for the 3rd QB.  The fact that some teams have chosen to dress a 6th S rather than a 3rd QB is on them, not the rules.

Byard is only $13.6M for the Eagles. And Simmons, well...

I don’t think either is realistic. However i don’t see the eagles trading for a safety that’s 30 years old and having to redo his contract and paying him big money for a safety. It makes more logical sense just in terms of positional value and caliber of player as he’s  for a 25 year old interior defensive lineman, who excels as a pass rusher and top 5 at his position. They value the premium position of DT over safety. That said neither is likely.

Look at the dead money number next to it; that’s what Titans eat.

29yr old safety who’s dangerously close to being a cap casualty, plays the 11th most expensive position on defense, and has already gotten his big money. Howie can give him a long deal with a bunch of phony years at the end that he can push way back a la Darius slay until Byard is long gone. This dude is gonna cost us maybe a 3, unless they were really close to dumping him then it’ll be less

vs

a 25 yr old DT who will be looking to agree to a record DT contract (100m$+) before any trade is agreed upon, as he isn’t leaving Tennessee for any other reason a la AJ Brown. Plus he’ll cost us a 1st+, and ultimately roster talent we’ll have to purge over the next few years to maintain that deal.

Get Byard, and still be able to afford the Josh Sweats and Landon Dickersons when they come up later on

Pretty uninspiring list of first round prospects, at least.  Maybe I should start rooting for a Bijan Robinson selection; he'd be better news than Ringo, Forbes, Carter or Van Ness.

These aren't necessarily only first round targets.

Obviously, but I also don't see any visits with the prospects I would value as first round targets.

Not a big issue; the last time the Eagles drafted a first round favorite target of mine was Lane Johnson in 2013 -- and #4 overall should be a slam dunk.  These visits also don't necessarily correlate to the actual pick.
