The problem being that the Thursday night games tend to be worse, I think, because of the lack of recovery and practice time.

Not to mention all of the injuries that have happened on Thursday night.   The NFL needs to stop trying to make Thursday night a thing.

Thursday night games should be after a bye.

Murphy.  He may never be a superstar but he will be a solid DE

I keep forgetting about Ringo.  He's intriguing.  I like Forbes a lot too.

I know, broken record for me but please tell me how Jalen Carter is arguably the best player in the draft?  I just don't get it.  I'd love for someone to point out all of the reasons why.

I wonder if Ringo fits better at safety

I’ve almost tried to embrace the suck. Just take Thursday’s game as a midweek diversion and a chance to see some lower quality matchups and players I likely wouldn’t see as a guy who can’t watch every game.

For me, as a college football fan, I've always loved watching the Thursday night games.  Usually a good ACC, AAC, Conf-USA or MAC matchup.  Let's you see the under the radar players.  It's how I saw a lot of Calijah Kancey.

They will never compete with the NFL viewership but it does make it harder to watch other games, especially now that they are streamed on Amazon so going between apps makes it super annoying.

Goodell said yesterday there is no evidence at all of an increase in injuries from Thursday games.

That's interesting.  I believe the NFLPA has said in the past that they saw an increase in injuries on Thursday nights?

It’s also slanted by the fact that there are more fresh bodies on thursdays in the sense that guys who would have been healthy Sunday but can’t get there by Thursday don’t go. No chance of re-aggravatingthe injury or picking up a new one because you’re compromised.

Maybe Hunter Renfrow on way out there. Would be an interesting slot here

I would love Renfrow as a reclamation project in the slot because, well...you know.

I like Ringo as a safety/slot corner combo. Definitely an intriguing athlete, but I’m not sure how he’ll handle being a boundary corner.

Carter was a wrecking ball at Georgia. Best defensive player on the best defense in CFB. Excellent size/quickness combo, quick feet and hands. He has as much upside as any player in the draft.

Which one of these is Jalen Carter, and which one is more disruptive?

Adebawore. Inside/out versatility and eye popping measurables.

Not quite, because they can't alienate the other broadcast partners and give them complete garbage only.  But, there's only so many good matchups in a given week.  And the more they spread out the games, the more that is highlighted.  TNF, SNF, MNF... plus the 1PM and 4PM line-ups.   There's really only about a dozen 'quality' teams, so how many times are they actually facing off against one another?

They are trying to squeeze every last dime out of the golden goose.  But, in so squeezing, they are going to start to hurt the product.  (They have already damaged the product, but they will damage it more as they continue to squeeze it.)

Van Ness with pick #24

Murphy with pick #25

Adebawore with pick #38

Those would be my preferred options.  If that were the choice I would choose Adebawore.

TNF games are historically garbage. Out of what, like 6 years of them I've probably seen 5 actually good games. Keep Thanksgiving, can the rest of TNF. The games suck

who do you prefer overall? I assume Van Ness?

Maybe they felt with Sermon he has something special but last year he just needed some work in certain areas like ball security for one.

They had Sanders and Gainwell taking the bulk and Hurts had his carries as well.  The draft will tell alot like you said.  If they don't take any RB then Sermon should get a good size work load and they are set with Gainwell, Penny, Scott and Sermon.

It was hard to imagine them tampering with the RBs last season given the production they were getting. Whtamper with what is working well.  There was no hurry on Sermon.

They never will.  But, you are correct, they are generally bad matchups, bad game plans and boring to watch.  Just not enough time to play on Sunday and then immediately turn around and play again on Thursday.

I don't understand the TNF games on Amazon hate from people. Looks great for me and I like the interface. People need to upgrade their internet

Howie typically tries to get the roster to the point where there aren't any glaring holes that need to be filled through the draft.  His philosophy is to plug holes in free agency and build for the future through the draft.

If we are to believe that Cox, Graham, and Kelce are gone at the end of next season (If), then the draft might be focused on filling in portions of the nucleus that won't be around past next year.

On the OL Jurgens, Dickerson, Johnson, Mailata will likely still be here in 2-3 years.  RG is a question mark.

RB has Gainwell here for two more years, everyone else is a one-year.  RBBC is a question mark.

At QB Hurts will get an extension for 3-4 years

At WR AJ Brown and Smith will be here 3 more years.  Slot WR is a question mark.

DE has Reddick and Sweat here for two more years.  Barnett and Graham are one-year, so DE is a question mark.

DT has Williams and Davis here for 2-3 more years.  Cox is a one-year deal, so DT is a question mark.

LB has Nakobe Dean here for 2-3 more years, everyone else is one-year so LB is a question mark.

In the secondary Slay, Bradberry, and Maddox will likely be here through 2024.  Safety is a question mark.

All of these will not be filled in the draft, and definitely not in one draft so prioritization will dictate roster building.  If I were to prioritize these question marks from a draft perspective (taking into account organizational philosophy) it would be as follows:

1.  DL

2.  OL

3.  DB (CB/S)

4.  RB

5.  Everything else.

I guess that is correct, and but it isn’t a clear preference.  I probably prefer Adebawore but I think he would be considered a reach if taken at the same pick as the other two.

For me, it's about being limited to the app.  If Amazon was a channel I could flip from then I would have no issue.  I watch the Thursday college games, early in the year I watch Phillies games and so on.  Having to exit an app, open another up, while only taking 10-15 seconds or so, is still a major annoyance when you can flip channels if it was on TV.

Theres' also jus something so BLAH and corporate about the look.
