There it is.

Looks like he was only with Seattle last year.  Prior to that he was the Bears DC in 2021 and a variety of position coaches for them for like 8 years prior to that.  Bears ranked #6 defense in yards in 2021 but 22nd in PPG.

Not enough characters left to say coach?

I'm bitter about us not being able to hire Fangio. If Gannon had gotten a job weeks ago, it's pretty much a lock he'd have been our guy. We are going to be settling for choices way down the line, which isn't great. Especially when defense just cost us a Lombardi.

Back in the rstarter heyday, he’d pop off anytime Carr did something good or had a good game. Naturally, every time he’d have a bone head play or bad game people would tag him, and his excuse was always "I’m at church, I wasn’t able to see it but will get back to you later” regardless of when the game actually was.

I don't think it was a lock.  Dolphins have made Fangio the league's highest paid coordinator

Definitely like Forbes - really good in zone, gets INTs when he has the opportunity - really light, worry he might get attacked by bubbles.

Oh. I remember him and his obsession with Carr but just didn't get the church reference. Don't remember that detail

.22 or sling shots?

You can use either a .22 or a .17 - I'm using a .17

Team with the highest weight of combined squirrels wins - most head shots wins a side pot as well

And Eagles would have to up that just to match because of taxes.

and Fangio turns 65 in August; Miami is the perfect place for him to stay in his retirement residence between games.

Time to start looking at draft prospects in depth now.  Getting a late start this season because of the run to the Super Bowl.

So far I have the QBs as Stroud, Young, Hooker, Levis in that order but we'll see what a second look does.

Hooker is not ahead of Levis or Richardson. Hooker will be a round 3-4 guy. He'll most likely outperform his slot, but he isn't going to go in R1.

I like Robinson and Gibbs more as well, but I’m not taking a RB in the 1st Round and both have 1st Round grades in my opinion.  I’ll slot Evans in in the 2nd round. Where do you slot in Tucker?

Tucker is R3 with Bigsby, McBride, K Miller.

Sean Tucker from Syracuse looks very interesting as a RB prospect as well.  Quick feet and very natural pass catcher out of the backfield.

I mentioned him a couple weeks ago. The more you watch him he’s a really good player. He also seems like a good fit for the type of office the Eagles, Ron. The only question I really have is how good of a blocker is he. But most running backs coming out of college aren’t great at it. He is one of my favorite mid round running backs. I’d be thrilled if they got him.

Maybe, but I think with the connections and how Lurie is always willing to pay coaches, they would've made it happen. Plus this job is just more attractive.

Putting aside Robinson and Gibbs, I really like the following in R3-4:

DeWayne McBride UAB

Kendre Miller TCU

Sean Tucker SYRACUSE

Tyjae Spears TULANE

With McBride being my personal favorite.

I think pick 10 comes down to Porter Jr, Gonzalez, Johnson Jr, Skoronski. I do think Howie will trade down in the draft though, whether it's from 10 or 30, who knows.

Do you really believe Skoronski fits the mold of a Stoutland O-lineman?  I don’t because of his measurables.  He is a high floor, low ceiling prospect IMO.  Johnson has a bit better measurables, but I also don’t see Stoutland being very high on him.  What is it about them that has you ranking them so highly?

I don't know if Stoutland really has a "mold" tbh. Skoronski is just a good player, he may not be uber athletic or have the longest arms. I think he could play guard or tackle. If he doesn't work as a tackle, he could be your future RG. I think adding OL depth is always on the Eagles minds.

I think pick 10 is going to be CB or OL. I'd honestly be surprised if it was anything but one of those two positions. Last year for example, we all thought it could've been a wide variety of positions. WR, Safety, DT, EDGE, CB, etc. But given where the strengths of this draft lie at the area of pick 10 and the Eagles needs, I think this is going to be a very chalky draft for the Eagles assuming they stay put at 10. They need CB depth, they always love adding OL depth and need to plan for Lane possibly being gone in a couple years and Seumalo leaving. I think it's a good bet either of those spots are the pick. And Johnson Jr and Skoronwki are regarded as the best in their class at OL.

Yeah, I need to get caught up on some prospects. Normally when I’m watching college football October and November are. But since the Phillies were in the playoffs, I got lost in that. And then the Eagles were in the playoffs and the Super Bowl so I really didn’t get started on any great amount of prospects. So if people have some that they like drop the names so i  can go check them out. I love looking at them and seeing what I think about them.

On the topic of RB: I wouldn't take a RB in round 2 either. I'd pretty much never take a RB in the first two rounds. It's just bad roster building.

Sign a guy like Kareem Hunt and take a RB in the 3rd or 4th. Preferably 4th. I love Spears, I think he'll be there in the 4th. I do love Gibbs and Robinson though, but no way in hell I take a RB that high. Too many important things they could add in the 2nd round. Like a LB to replace Edwards if he leaves. Safety to replace Epps. OG to replace Seumalo if he leaves and Eagles go CB in round 1, etc.
