I'm going on the assumption the Lions are drafting Jalen Carter until such point they trade out of the pick, or their pick is in on draft night.

I hope he gets drafted before 10, then there won't be anything to consider, just draft someone else if Carter ends up being good oh well if not dodged a bullet.

2022 Snaps needed per sack:

Grady Jarrett - 142

Aaron Donald - 123

Jeffrey Simmons - 112

Deforest Buckner 109

Fletcher Cox - 101

Milton Williams - 98

Cameron Hayward - 76

Skoronski will be a boring pick, but might be the right one. I wouldn't do it, but i'd get it.

I don’t even think he’d be the right one, I think he has low upside as an OT and if you go OL in top 10 they need to have high upside at tackle.

True but if you look at short term upside he’s probably the best RG prospect and he could definitely backup Lane for a few years. There’s no saying Lane will even retire in 2 years

Word on the street is Skoronski is cancelling visits with teams outside of the top 10.  Howie is going to pull his greatest trick yet....taking TWO players at 10.

I think taking Skoronski at 10 would say a lot about how they feel for Jurgens at RG

Is this a random selection or the top 7? If so surprised ro see Cox on there as 3rd best.

I'd say moreau the immediate reduction of depth along the oline than anything else along with him capable of being the eventual RT hopefully when Lane walks away I'm 2 years as he stated he will.

Can't be a top anything since Hargrave isn't on it. He would have been 1 sack every 65 snaps.

Yeah, I don't think there's much value in OL at #10 in this draft.  Mailata in 7th round, Dickerson and Jurgens in the 2nd round, Kelce in the 6th round.  The Eagles aren't one of those teams that HAVE to draft the top-rated OL player.  It's a position group they've had success in developing.  Lane as a 4th overall pick was a gimme based on how the board fell.

I think the best DE, DT, or CB available is the better choice for this draft.  TE and CB seem to be the talent-rich positional groups in this draft.

Random selection of known or high paid DTs

I’m all for the importance of depth at tackle but I wouldn’t call a RG/backup RT a great value pick at 10. I wouldn’t lose sleep over it, but if they think Jurgens can give you what Seumalo did at RG then you’re really just drafting a backup OT at 10. Again, I wouldn’t absolutely hate the pick but there will be D Lineman available with high upside.

Like I've been saying, the Eagles are going DL or OL at 10 or if they trade down. At 30, who knows.

If he turns into a a ten year starter and multiple time pro-bowl guard he will be well worth the 10th pick.

Exactly. His comp by a lot of draft analysis and experts is zack Martin. If you get zack Martin or Quenton nelson for the next decade that’s a hell of a pick. If he’s a 10 year starter with just a couple of pro bowls that’s a good pick. It’s not sexy and rather be a definitive OT but that’s a massively good player if he becomes that and lives up to that potential. You’d also basically have 4 of 5 starting olineman locked up for next 7-8 years with mailata, Dickerson, jurgens and skoronski.

Facts. It would be ''boring'' but it would be a really good pick. He could also be a day one starter if they prefer Jurgens at C and Skoronski has a great camp.

That's pretty promising for Milton and wow Hayward, what a beast!

It would say they're planning to move Jurgens to C when Kelce finally retires.

Dillard and Seumalo are gone and Johnson is into his final few seasons.  OL depth is the key to this offense.

He isn't being drafted to be a permanent backup at RG/RT.  The Eagles are in a very unique situation having the 10th pick coming off of a Super Bowl appearance.  They don't plan on drafting this high again when Lane retires in a couple of years.  If they go with an OT at at 10 it's because they feel that's the best player available that fits to their strategy of prioritizing the line that while it doesn't fill an immediate need starting (but an immediate need of backup swing RT and someone who can compete for RG) it does fill a future need.

I don't think it would say anything one way or the other about what they think of Jurgens at RG.  It would be everything about their belief that they won't be in this position again in the next few years to draft a top prospect tackle and the inevitability of Lane and Kelce's eventual retirement.   If this is Jason's last season then Jurgens moves to center and Skoronski could move to RG until Lane is retired after the next two seasons.  If nothing else they would have what should be top end depth heading into 2023 along the offensive line which is a luxary they can afford when they are picking at 10 not because they were a bad team that earned that pick but because they own that pick through a trade from the year before.

man Mort looks and sounds horrible…

Dave Portnoy is an actual scumbag of a person and a classless POS.  No surprise that a serial sexual assaulter and n-word user would have dope take on a 20 year old college kid. The take everyone should have is that Dave Portnoy should shut the F up about this.

Comparing Angel Reese to JuJu is also dumb.  I mean JuJu got a questionable call. He didn't make some big play.  It was stupid because it called more attention to the fact that without that call they wouldn't have  won the game.  Angel Reese trashed talked the best player on the other team.  She also called out the First Lady who made the ill considered comment about inviting Iowa.

My point in all of this is the world would be a better place if people just learned to keep their mouths shut.

That’s how I feel too. I’d rather have a guy who has higher upside at OT
