Heard a stat that Forbes had a missed tackle rate of 14 percent or more in every year of his career. He plays physical for his weight, so I’d be curious if it was a matter of whiffing or having his tackle attempts broken.

My concern would be he'd be attacked by bubbles at such a low weight and tackling percentage.

I feel like Vick’s Eagles run gets wayyyy overrated by a lot of people, especially when they want to put him in the "great” category. Guy had one good season here, saved them from Kolb flopping, had memorable games against Washington in the Monday night massacre and the Giants comeback. Got knocked out in the 2010 playoffs by GB, then fell flat in 2011 when expectations were massive with the Dream Team. He’s closer to Wentz than he is Donovan and Foles. Hell, Hurts has already surpassed him through two full seasons starting.

It's a shame what happened to him in a way. Had a ton of talent but wasted it because he didn't care until after the dog fighting and came here

If he studied the game more when he was younger then there's a good chance he'd have a ring or more

Saquon was about as good they get as a prospect and scared me as a rookie - but how much has he done to change the trajectory of that franchise.

Cosell thinks Kancey will be able to rush the passer at the NFL level. He has concerns obviously but thinks he will be successful due to his off the carts speed, athleticism and movement skills. I'm on this side of the fence as well.

Yup when was the last time a team that had a " HOF" RB won the super bowl?

The best RB in the league the last few years has been Derrick Henry, he's never been to the dance, Zeke was a top 4 pick led the league j. Rushing one year, has what 1-2 playoff wins

Fournette won a Superbowl with Tom Brady but he was originally drafted by the jags and he isn't winning jack without Brady.

Miles Sanders 2nd round pick has a career year yet gets is invisible in the bowl and eagles almost still win.

Pacheco was a 3rd day pick.

Barkley as mentioned is good but what the heck have the giants done???

Drafting/Having a sure fire HOF RB doesn't move the needle as much as it did say 15 years ago

I think he can be successful - but he's very scheme specific; otherwise he'll be a subpackage player.

I like Witherspoon, but he's far from the prototype - it's weird to think I'd be anxious at 10 but all-in at say 19.

Watching Witherspoon, it looks like he could possibly start at the slot CB which would free up Maddox to play Safety.  Not sure about Gonzalez.  What do you guys think?

Doesn't matter, he's still a clown.

Oh for sure he is. But I’m guessing he said what he did cause he saw the story by sando and figured he could just lie and piggyback on it as he likely wasnt going to be wrong since sando reported it

Witherspoon could certainly play in the slot - given his sure tackling ability, I think he'd excel there.  Gonzalez is an outside player, where I'd be looking to move Slay ASAP.

Very good point. In a read-and-react scheme he'll be a bust. In a system that uses slants and stunts he may do very well.

Watching this breakdown of Klancey you can see that the guy has some really good hands and technique. Despite "short arms", he regularly beats linemen with a variety of moves and speed.  Is he going to an NT?  No, but the guy will projects really well as a 3tech

As JR pointed out, if Kancey is put in a system where he needs to hold a gap (like our defense last year) - he's going to be in trouble, as longer OL will lock on and run him off.  As a penetrating 3T that disrupts, without a lot gap responsibility -or- is given a lot of opportunities to run games... OK, but he needs to be moving and always given the initiative.

Superstar Running Backs and non top-5 QBs on megadeals are no no’s

This TD celebration by Hurts on his game winning TD run was the best TD celebration of last season. Mocking the mascot and the mascot getting upset.

The Jets QB news we have all been waiting for finally happened

You think it would be Kancey getting double teamed?  Not somebody like Jordan Davis?

I think that Kancey at DE with that speed and quickness, combined with big weight for a DE would be plausible.

I do notice that when comparing Kancey and Ingram,  that Kancey is 17 pounds heavier.

Here's a RAS compare of Kancey and Hargrave,  the star DT who left for big money.
Almost the same height.  Kancey is 6010,  Hargrave 6013.   Hargrave much heavier.  Kancey is faster by a good bit, but Hargrave has great speed for his weight.   The jumps were about the same.   Kancey was way way better at the quickness, agility,  3 cone and shuttle.

https://ras.football/ras-compare/?&p1=12659&p2=20033&pos=DT

I tend to think that Kancey is very close to Aaron Donald.   And both went to Pitt. I'd like to see Ras numbers of whoever is closer to Aaron Donald than Kancey is.

It's like having the same Aaron Donald arguments 10 years later after Aaron Donald has a HoF career.   Take a shot, maybe, especially if you can get him after a trade down or trade downs.

Which of the DL who is expected to be taken in the first has the best RAS?  It might not be Kancey.

I like him as a player.  I just don't know that you take a shot with a first round pick.  I don't know that his arm length will limit his career.  He's at the 1st percentile vs. the 29th for Donald   He's also built similarily to Geno Atkins.  There's also something to be said for athletic d-linemen and both their value as pass rushers and against zone run schemes.  Skoronski would not be rated as high of a pick 10 or 15 years ago.  As teams run more zone vs. gap run schemes, they are moving towards more athletic o-lines.  It makes sense that you d-linemen that can beat the o-line to the point of attack rather than just defeating a block and holding the gap.

isn't the hold up the Packers wanting more picks than they initially wanted?

The last report or rumor or whatever you want to call it is the Jets want some kind of insurance built into the deal because Rodgers saying he was "90% leaning to retire" scared them.

Oh I hadn't heard of that one. If everything is done then they should just pull the trigger already

I'd have to think at this point, they're almost in same ballpark.  No one else has really jumped into the mix and they both know the other side wants to get this deal done.

That leak about SF maybe being interested...probably just a leak to see if the Jets blink and offer up something extra.

Some really good stuff in there. Gotta say, though, that Tennessee has some serious waist-benders.

Forbes is easily the best ballhawk in the draft , no weakness when it comes to defending the pass and his versatility

I think his tackling issues can get better , it’s a problem with form and not attitude , gets overly aggressive and sells out , no doubt he’s willing

He's a bit light, his arms are short - but you can't lay a hand on him and he's quick as hell.

When you're a crap franchise like the NYG and you expect a RB to change the franchise, that's a mistake.

When you're a very good franchise, with a great team, adding a top RB can take you to the next level.

That's the big difference IMO.  A guy like Robinson wouldn't come here to be the savior and then have a team built around him.  He'd be coming in here to be one of the final pieces to take them over the top.
