We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Yep every year people say trade back because the prospects are just as good 5-10 spots back but if that’s the case why would another team trade up?

You’re looking to take advantage of desperation from other GMs with more immediate needs, essentially.  Two separate small trade-downs would be ideal, could net Howie 3-4 extra picks if the return is 2023 draft capital.

Some teams in the top 10-15 picks have one particular prospect in mind they don’t feel like they can afford to lose out on.

The lack of picks in the mid round screams of a trade down at some point to fill the roster out.  They cant keep relying on UDFA money getting thrown around

The way I see it, in this draft there are two reasons:

1) A team really likes a QB. Richardson is the most likely candidate. It only takes one team to think they can coach him up for a team to pull the trigger.

2) This draft is full of niche talents. From the outside, we see all of these more or less equal talents. But a lot of them are very scheme specific. So while we may see a bunch of good prospects, a team may only see 2 or 3 as fitting into their team. They may want to make sure they secure the player rather than wait, miss on the guy, and be stuck trying to plug a square peg in a round hole.

I would be surprised if the first two picks weren't lineman:

10 DL/OL - Carter, Smith, Van Ness, Murphy, Skoronski, Johnson, Jones

30 DL/OL - Kancey, Bresee, Smith, McDonald, Uzomah, Adebawore, Torrence, Mauch

Like it or not both lines are getting older and lacking depth.

I agree, unless you got a guy you absolutely love, it’s ideal to want to trade back. I was more speaking of to all the bloggers and Twitterers that say "just trade back” like it’s that simple.

Sure, I’m hoping they trade back 5-7 spots and pick up another Day 2 and day 3 pick, maybe even a pick for next year.

Highly unlikely, Highly highly unlikely especially because the former head coach of the TN Titans was fired partly for the trade of AJ Brown to the Eagles, but... knowing how HB Derrick Henry was upset that AJ Brown left the Titans maybe he would want to join him as an Eagle?
How wild would it be if GM Howie Roseman traded another 1st round pick to the Titans but this for their RB?

Again very unlikely to occur but that would be wild having HB Henry behind this Oline!

That would probably be the worst trade in my lifetime.

Up to 18m?

Looked for a minute like he was going to the Jets. Would be funny if Rodgers backed out and retired.

That's a lot. Ravens caved.

Ravens finally give Lamar a WR.  Now they just need to get the Lamar deal done.

What the hell are the Ravens thinking?

I don't think the Eagles will draft a RB at all. Bijon is possible if they trade down like 10 slots and he falls but generally I just don't think they'll do it.

If not, their RB room will be in the bottom quarter of the league. That would be inexcusable on the front offices part. You can't pound Hurts in the running game like they did last year. We saw the repercussions in that Chicago game which still aggravates me.

Sermon couldn't get on the field, Penny is intriguing but has missed at least half the year, every year so far, Gainwell looks good in limited action but in a perfect world he stays as a part timer. Scott is a limited part time guy as well. They should add someone on day 3 at minimum I would hope.

I like Bergeron and Duncan as swing, back up tackles.

Just take Robinson then if you want a high level back. Henry shouldn't cost much more than a 3rd rounder I wouldn't think.

They only seem to like WRs who are about washed. Steve Smith, Anquan Boldin, and now Beckham.

Paris Johnson and Broderick Jones are the consensus top OT but I really like Dawand Jones and Darnell Wright as well further down the draft board.  They don't have the feet and movement skills of the top guys but I think Stout could maximize their massive size with improved technique.

I am intrigued by the idea of Wright at RG. Reminds me a little bit of Brandon Brooks.

I seem to remember Bigsby being a physical runner. This highlight shows a lot of his big chunk plays. He has some elusiveness to him. Not always just running at people. And he seems adept at outside zone which is our bread and butter.

He may not be much of a pass catcher. But Gainwell is. He and Gainwell can make a nice 1-2 punch.

I’d be furious if we traded a first round pick for an old RB who wanted a bunch of money.

Eagles lost WOLB White, but what about Drew Sanders to replace him in the draft?

You want the Eagles to take B. Robinson with no. 10 pick?
I really don't think any RB in this draft is 1st round worthy, but like what happens every year guys get hyped up higher than they should out of need.
I am okay with Robinson with the 30th pick but 10th seems way too high for him.
He's the best RB in the draft and supply/demand I get but 10th.. I mean I guess it depends on the board at 10.
IMO
NYG Barkley > Robinson

but Robinson >  MIles Sanders

Boldin wasn't washed when he was in Baltimore.

Blake Cashman was an identical player who I believe is still a free agent so wont cost any draft capital.

What about Rashaad Penny 6 million a year yet Eagles going to draft a HB in the 1st round, seems strange tatic to me.

Penny is getting $1.35M, not $6M.

I'm a fan of Bigsby. Think there's some untapped potential as a receiver there as well.
