I'm not a Lamar believer so I'd be fine with this

That sucks.  He gets a lot of unnecessary hate from dopes like Glenn Macnow but he's been a great owner that has been committed to whatever path his GMs have wanted to take in order to try to build a contending team.

Would be awful to have Lamar in this division/conference, especially on a team with the WR talent that Washington has.

Yeah, I mean there's no point in even pondering about that one. Just bypass players that should obviously be gone.

Like Dillard

So we haven’t replaced Pascal as the big slot/blocker. Who are the mid to late-round guys who. An play that position?

Xavier Hutchinson was the first name to pop in my head. Who else is out there?

The princeton kid

A somewhat interesting, although not nuanced discussion of Jalen Hurts' upcoming contract extension.  The Turds Insider predicts it will be 7 years/$345M, and he takes the stance it needs to be done today.  Ric Bucher is mostly an NBA guy and feels like he needs to see another year from Hurts before an extension.  Acho is Acho and leans toward Bucher's viewpoint while shamefully wearing a pink jacket.  Of course not one mention at all of guaranteed money, which IMO would be the most important aspect of whether the contract works for the Eagles and to what degree.

He’d help keep the defense on the sideline with 5 minutes left churning east first downs up the field. So yes. Look around the league man. Nobody is winning super bowls 13-10. Make no mistake, that is the target and it’s realistic. Our OL is, for now, elite. Put two studs behind it and watch the magic. That’s where I come out. I don’t see a path to cheap, elite rb play for Hurts’ prime as obviously laid out as BR. We’re not teasing and paying a guy 10M.

Bijan would not improve the offense.  You don't need elite RB play to have an elite offense.  You need elite QB play, elite o-line play and good/great receivers.  We have an aging o-line that is elite assuming to 30 plus year old players stay healthy for an entire season.  Assuring there is talent to back them up is the most important key to making sure the offense is good enough to win next season.

I think he's overrated but he would make them a playoff team

Tommy listed top 30 visits on Igglesblitz.com. I was surprised to see that O'Cyrus Torrence was not listed. I thought for sure Stoutland would like him.

They didn't visit with Dillard.

I don't think he's that good plus he gets injured a lot

I get what you're trying to say but saying it won't help the offense to have an extremely highly rated RB doesn't make sense and that having a backup OL who might not play at all this year would help the lineup...

Playing devils advocate....  I'm pro going OL and DL at 10.. If we move down from 10 then i might be more open to Bijan... I really want to see what Penny brings also

The coaching staff seems to like Howell but who knows.

If you gave me a crystal ball and told me I only had two choices at #10 -- Skoronski, and he'll generally be a Pro Bowler or Bijan, and he'll generally be All Pro -- I'll take Skoronski.  OL provides understated value to an offense while RB provides overstated value.

I was of the position before that I didn't want OL because it meant either a) the #10 overall pick would sit all year or b) Jurgens as a 2nd round pick would sit for two years.  My position now is they could do with Skoronski exactly what they did with Jurgens -- intern for one season, then walk into the starting lineup ready to contribute heavily.

Having Driscoll as the only meaningful depth at OL is pretty scary.  These OL guys get injured a lot more frequently than showed last season.

Who said he doesn't love ball?  Because he drag raced?

Scouts that have been speaking out about him have said that they've heard from multiple sources that Carter's commitment to the game is questionable.

No one gives 2 craps that he drag raced.

Yeah Washington has good playmakers. And their defense can be average to above average. Their oline is not good but in the nfc i think they are likely a playoff team with him. They’re more formidable with him then the giants with Daniel jones

Let me point out and add there’s also no guarantee jurgens is even good at RG. If he struggled then you are putting in driscoll who can’t stay healthy either. So now you are in a really tough spot and that doesn’t even include if there’s injuries elsewhere along the oline. Oline kind makes a lot of sense especially when we add lane has missed 25% or more games in a season in 3 of the last 4 years.

He keeps your offense on the field for x drives you’d otherwise put mahomes back on.

he avoids x TFL and puts you in 2nd and 7 instead.

we immediately have an elite 4 minute/6 minute/8 minute offense to close out leads.

if you want to make the argument that no RB would be worth a 10 in a year with a clear tier drop above that and no blue chip OL available, ok. But we really need to have a debate about whether Robinson is an upgrade over Kenny g and trey sermon?

Of course Bijan projects to be an upgrade. The question is how much of an upgrade he is? If over the course of the season he gets you an extra 0.5 YPC X 300 carries for 150 yards, an extra 3 TDs, and 1 extra win, is that worth it?

Also, funny you bring up TFLs. Frankly I think Bijan may increase the number of TFLs, at least in his first year. He dances behind the LOS a lot…

Coach speak. Snyder knew he was getting pushed out and the impending sale put them in a weird position.

This is probably already obvious at this point, but Kempski said from talking to people within the Eagles they think Jurgens is an absolute stud. They absolutely love the guy and love what they've seen from him. Didn't say at RG in particular. I think just in general.

Actually, that IS part of what concerns me.  If he's drag racing in a piece of crap Jeep Trackhawk, what's he gonna do when he has the money for a Lamborghini Urus??

Yup. Washington should go all in to make that happen. Really with him the first rounders are gonna be 16 and likely 19-25 in 2024. I’m likely trading more to move all the way up for an unproven prospect and unlikely they’d get Caleb Williams next year

I get having to also pay him as well and his injury past but i rather pay for a known commodity than trade all those assets and wind up with a bust.
