The WR to look is Trey Palmer in the 3rd or 4th (if they can get an early 4th through trading back in the first few rounds).  4.33 40 time.  Replace Quez with him and then try to love Quez for a 5th or 6th rounder or just move on from him and open up over $2M in cap space.

Ive brought him up before. He looks exactly like Quez. Speed is great. Hands are not natural. Hes a body catcher. Definitely would not take him that early.

According to Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports, the Jets have been turned off a bit as they are worried about giving up so much for Rodgers because he said he was "90 percent retired” prior to entering his darkness retreat.

"And I guess…if we’re going to do the whole thing of ‘Whose court is the ball in?’ I guess it’s in the Jets’ court, but the problem with that is that for the Jets it’s at a standstill,” Robinson said, via Sports Illustrated. "They’re saying no we’re not doing the straight-shot one. And I think what [Jets owner] Woody Johnson’s problem is with this is that he looks at Denver and all the assets Denver gave up [for Russell Wilson] … now Seattle is sitting on Denver’s pick at No. 5 because that crashed and burned. I think some of it is the Matt Stafford thing, and now he has a balky elbow … and now Detroit is sitting at six. … They sort of had trade parameters worked out, and then when Aaron went on [The Pat McAfee Show] and said ‘I’m 90% retired’ or ‘I was 90% retired when I went into the darkness retreat,’ I think it scared Woody.”

I want this to be true so bad

Yup. Packers and rodgers have been a circus clown show for 4 years. It’s why i keep saying i don’t expect anything with those two sides to go smoothly

only thing that would suck if if the niners somehow realize lance sucks and go all in with rodgers. Not sure with rodgers they aren’t the most complete team in the nfc. And i could see the niners not caring if he retires in 2024 if it means they have a great chance at winning a SB in 2023. I’m also betting he doesn’t retire with how that team is set up

Unpopular opinion on my end, but he helped make Nate Herbig in to a starting guard in the NFL. He was able to get some good out of Matt Pryor, although there was much more bad.  I guess my argument is Stoutland is better at his job, and I'd trust a late round OL pick more than I would a late round DL pick because the Eagles don't seem to know how to develop them.

I also like the fact that Stoutland was running the OL drills at the combine.  I'm sure he has his list.

Nate Herbig had good feet for is speed and size coming out of Stanford.  Stout refined him for sure but unlike Pryor, Herbig put the work in to develop an NFL body.  Stout isn’t a miracle worker (Warmack), he needs good clay.

The last part is vital. The eagles have given him some really good clay to work with especially top 3 rounds with lane, dillard, Dickerson, cam jurgens and seumalo over the years. Those are 5 picks in the top 3 rounds.

They are taking on OL in first 3 rounds this year. Pretty much guaranteed

Yup. They really need a long term RG and RT. And Driscoll is a FA after the year so they don’t have great depth in the pipeline going forward either. I wouldn’t rule out a OL in first 3 rounds and one in the 6-7th that stout views as a project.

Would be amazing if the panthers did this lol

Quez is more of a hand catcher.  Hightower was a total body catcher.  Quez's issue isn't he tries to catch with his body, because he doesn't.  Quez's issue is that when the lights shine the brightest he shirks.  He has an anti-clutch gene that makes him a liability in big moments when his number is called.

Back after my break. Anything good happen ?

For all the talk about it being a bad draft to have the #10 overall pick, it's also a bad draft to pull the trigger on a trade up from #9 to #1.  What an assortment of QB choices:

-- Ohio St. QB

-- 190-pound QB, who stands 5'10

-- Gators QB who threw fewer college passes than any top QB prospect other than Cam Newton

-- I'm not even sure how to describe Will Levis, except Carson Wentz meets Taysom Hill

Yeah it’s why i was on the side of the bears in that trade. I don’t love that they went to 9 but they have the draft capital to move up if they do love someone like Williams or Wilson if they fall. I think getting 9, likely a top 10 pick in 2024 and moore is gonna look better and better if Carolina takes Richardson.

I like stroud over the other 3 but if you don’t love him then I am weary of the 3 for different reasons

Maybe.  They gave Stout a chance to check him out.  Problem is, in this OT bad draft, I think he’s a Day three pick but earlier than our sevenths.

The phallic symbolism in that scene was probably pushing it with the Rating Board.

Yes.  He catches with his hands.  A body catcher would be someone that is always trying to catch with their body.  See Hightower.

228.4 passer rating though

Will Levis reminds me of Anthony Morelli. What you look for in a QB from the neck down.
