No Tony Gonzalez? Total joke.

Shannon and Tony do not like each other. So not surprised.

Does anyone else get the feeling Howie will pick up a late round draft pick and the Eagles will select Dorian Thompson-Robinson just a little bit earlier than most observers think he’ll be drafted?

They had him in for an official visit and he seems like a developmental prospect Lurie would want.

I was thinking about that too.  The fact that they used one of their 30 visits on him speaks volumes and tells me they don't view him as a 6th/7th rounder.

Yeah.  Maybe 4th round.

Funny how last year Willis got top 10 buzz just because he can run and had a strong arm.

This year,  Richardson is getting that even though he has no QB skills.

DTR can run and has the strongest arm in the class and he's still a mid-late round pick. He's better than Richardson and no worse than Willis.

There's been a lot of smoke around this guy for the last few months now. I would have no problems making this move. Our factory is running a bit slow right now.

Levis and Richardson both have stronger arms than DTR

While I would love this, he's a 4th/5th rounder and we have none of them. We would need to trade down.

not according to the combine mph. His is the strongest.

The USFL starts back up today and I've gotta say I'm excited to see some games.  One thing about these spring leagues and why I think the NFL should get involved and help fund them as development leagues is the experimental rule changes.  The USFL has new rules and I think almost every one of them would make the NFL a better game.

-USFL kicks off from their own 20 yard line but both kick and return teams are limited as how they can line up.  I prefer the XFL version but this will help bring returns back to the game.

-Fumbles that are fumbled forward and out of the end zone are not touchbacks, rather the team keeps the ball from the fumbled location.  Not big on this.  If you fumble instead of score, not sure I like giving the ball back.  But at the same time, why is it automatic that the defense gets it?

-Running clock after incompletions in the 1st and 3rd quarters and 2nd and 4th are running outside of 5 minutes. Not sure why so many are trying to shorten games.

-The offsite replay center can overturn roughing the passer, personal fouls and all unsportsmanlike conduct calls. I love this.  The NFL needs this.

-The 49ers rule.  All teams can have a 3rd QB up on gamedays that doesn't count as a rostered player but can play if emergency.  Makes sense TBH.

I've said it multiple times but I love these leagues and hope they survive.  Would really be neat if next year they overlap seasons and the champion of the XFL plays the USFL champion.  Then down the road, allow NFL teams to allocate players or better yet have an entire farm system.

Well if you go by that ,”which I don’t " he has a stronger arm than Mahomes , Flacco , Newton , Wilson

Good video, haven't watched the whole thing yet but watched the Jalen Carter and tier 2 guys.  Still not seeing it with Carter, especially when you're able to continually watch tape of Carter, Smith, Kancey and Benton back to back.  Out of those 4, Kancy and Benton look better than Carter.

Yeah they are paying Mariota 5mil.  I'm sure they'd love to ease the QB budget by having a few years of a lower priced backup Qb

Her voice is a woman’s voice.  Do you tell your wife her voice is incredibly annoying?

Yes, I have.  My wife well knows that when she starts a conversation with "So”, I cringe.

That said, Buck annoys me the same way.  He tends to yell at times.  He grates as does Troy.  There are good announcers that are women.  You are assuming the dislike is because she is a woman rather than her individual presentation but that wasn’t what was posted. The posters pointed to specific schtick that contributed to their dislike. Chris Collingsworth’s schtick of seeing DPI on every pass play yet being blind to OPI is annoying to me.  Golf announcers that nowadays are nowhere near the players whispering annoys me.  They are in a booth now.

In a recent interview on NFL Network, Mississippi State CB Emmanuel Forbes revealed he's in the 174-177 pound range right now and his goal is to be at 180 by the start of the NFL season.

best ballhawk in the draft imo , he along with  ,Banks , Gonzales , Stevenson and Smith make up my top 5 CBs

I’m a huge Forbes fan. Getting to 180-185 would be perfect for him. Kid is a ballhawk and mirrors VERY well.

TWO linebackers in first 3 rounds? Puff puff pass my friend.

The WR to look is Trey Palmer in the 3rd or 4th (if they can get an early 4th through trading back in the first few rounds).  4.33 40 time.  Replace Quez with him and then try to love Quez for a 5th or 6th rounder or just move on from him and open up over $2M in cap space.

I’m a much bigger Mingo fan but I wouldn’t be upset with Palmer.

Quez is more of a hand catcher.  Hightower was a total body catcher.  Quez's issue isn't he tries to catch with his body, because he doesn't.  Quez's issue is that when the lights shine the brightest he shirks.  He has an anti-clutch gene that makes him a liability in big moments when his number is called.

Quez’s issue is that he sucks.

Benton is a guy who hasnt gotten enough attention.

Theres a nice player at coastal crolina in his next teir which is pretty comparable to Mazi Smith too. Good vid bringing up some guys we havent really discussed in here.

Mingo is rather unimpressive. I wanted to be a big fan, but Im not. I was intrigued with having 2 AJ Browns, but he is so not even close to being that, despite his size.

All you have to do is watch the game  , nowhere does it scream , wow what arm on DTR  , it will be the strongest in the NFL according to the combine .

I'd take Benton over Van Ness. Same for Mazi.

Because eli very likely is going to be a first ballot hall of famer based on his championships, which is exactly why Polamalu was. And that's wrong.

I'm not even sure Eli is a HOF QB at all, he was bad to average most of his career.  He didn't have an 'elite' season till 6-7 years in.  Him making the HOF is 100% based off his last name.

Ditka and Gonzalez I'd argue are GOAT'd.  Witten is close to them.  You can start adding names to to those 3 I think.

The reason Eli is going to make it is because he led his team to TWO Super Bowls and played very well in both playoff runs. The fact that he was mediocre for about sixty percent of his career will be ignored. That’s just the way it is. His career didn’t merit it, but he’s gonna get in.

His father didn’t get in, so his last name is clearly not the reason.

They speak about Van Ness at 1:01:00

His Dad is HOF of very OK worthy..kinda like Eli.  Peyton coming out a few years earlier than him is the big factor.  The name was big enough at that point for Eli to pout his way out of going to the Chargers.  I think the first SB year was Eli's best year TBH.  I don't care to google stats, but that was his first legit good year as an NFL QB IIRC.
