We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Congrats to Jalen

Holy hell

$51M/yr with $180M guaranteed is just, um…wow. Highest paid player in NFL history. Congrats to him.

Look at his wins and stats it’s deserved

Does Jalin Hyatt have drop issues? I’m trying to figure out why he’s not projecting to go round 1. Dude shredded Bama

He's not the best route runner and his combine 40 time is one of those where scouts worry about separating from NFL corners, for me you could pick up Perry out of Wake Forest a round or two later than Hyatt and have just as much chance of coming out with an NFL receiver.

And now Herbert, Burrow, Lamar will all get more and contract won't look as bad

Wow, that is a mega deal.

let’s hope he doesn’t turn into wentz

Lamar is not getting more than that. No chance

This deal will look good by 2027, but 2024-2025 might suck.

Firstly a huge congrats to Jalen! What a deal that is for him.

I’m a little confused though as the NFL article says this deal allows us to be competitive and build a team around him. Does it? I don’t see that so much but then that’s probably me rather than it not being the case.

Let’s just hope last year wasn’t a freak one year!

When you perform like Hurts did in the Super Bowl after a season like he had then you've answered all the questions

Good for Jalen. Murray’s deal with AZ was always a better comp to use than Watson’s. Feel like this is best of both worlds where Jalen got what he deserved and it doesn’t destroy the team’s cap flexibility by giving $200+ million guaranteed.

I really wish there wasn't a no-trade clause. Only thing about the deal I would have pushed back on more.

No trade clause is interesting. If he continues to improve then that won't be a problem

So what parts of Hurts deal make it team friendly?

Coaches son, hard worker, student of the game, intelligent, role model.

We'll have to see how it's structured. And he won't be highest paid for long. Herbert and Burrow will top it.

His contract is pretty much where you'd think it would land given last season and the market, in terms of fully guaranteed money it's not leaps and bounds beyond current deals.

Incentives for when he gets us another Lombardi :groovy:

In 2023, Hurts will have a top 3 QB contract.
By 2026, Hurts may not have a top 10 QB contract.

That's how QB contracts work.

good for hurts.

now onto the draft.
