I don't know but I like him quite a bit. Cook also was rumored as a cut or trade candidate. But would Howie pay these guys ten plus mil a year? I really want Bijan or Bigsby in the draft. I'd also settle for Johnson, Charbonnet or McBride as well.

Dalvin Cook is going to be 28 in August and has already had several major injuries.  Rashaad Penny currently fills the former 1st round injured RB.

I'm a strong NO on Charbonnet.  Smooth runner but lacks explosiveness.  Plenty of other RB I'd take before him.

He played well enough to win a Super Bowl and well enough to win 14 of 15 games.   He obviously is not perfect in every aspect but that's a very strong positive. The biggest remaining question is can he repeat that performance.

This is why I think it's a dangerous contract. They just paid a king's ransom based on one season. I don't foresee him regressing enough to make it a problem but if he does they are Fed and they'll look stupid for giving that out after one year.

Man I don’t know I think he’s going to be a good back in the league. I love the idea of him and Gainwell together, and if Penny can return to his non injury form, whew

Maybe but it’s the right call. If he plays at the same or better level next year without a contract, add in it’ll likely be post Lamar/Burrow/Herbert contracts, mixed in with Lawrence being available for an extension, the contract for him would be far higher

That's fine, he's not my favorite. He does have the size and physicality I'm looking for but I like others too. I do know I prefer a physical and tough back that could close out games when needed.

Who is everyone's favorite OT?

What do you want the dude to do? Like seriously, he has checked off every box. That was beyond an elite SB performance, you are mad at this point that he is successful.

Nope

his bonehead fumble matters too. That wasnt a good kc defense. Did he improve or did we get AJ brown and run a dumbed down offense where he got hurt?

all the intangible stuff is nice. Im talking about tangibles. Processing, arm strength etc

Losing him cost TCU any chance at even competing in the playoff this year.  He doesn't turn 21 until June.

There are so many good backs in this draft.

I just dont think hes paying attention to what hes saying.

If youre picking in the top 10, and theres an all pro talent there, you take him. Thats the eagles MO, and its a smart one.

But I dont think you take a guard. And I dont think theres a generational tackle there, nor is there a need pressing enough.

Stout has 1-2 years to mold an athlete like Witt, or anyone other athletic OT with maybe a little more experience. A project right now is totally fine.

I dont see any OL making sense at 10 this year.

Eagles love OL but I dont think theyll force a pick. If they end up with another Dillard when they could have had a CB, or DL itll look really bad,

I like Miller, he's definitely someone I'd settle for.

Like I said earlier, 2025 is when they have a lot of moves to make in restructures, extensions.  These are just the obvious moves that have to be made over the next 2 years.

Before 2024 season:

-Extend Landon Dickerson.

-Restructure or trade Dallas Goedert. Salary jumps from $million to $19 million in 2024.

-Restructure/extend Josh Sweat.  Salary jumps from $6 million to $18.7 million

-Trade/extend Hasson Reddick.  Salary bumps to $20 million for last year of contract.

Before 2025 season:

-Extend DeVonta Smith.

-Extend Jordan Mailata.

-Trade or extend AJ Brown. Salary jumps from $12 million to $26.5 million in 2025 and $41 million in 2026.

-Extend Cam Jurgens.  Seems early but if he takes over C full time in 2024, he's going to need starting C money before his last year.

I'm not sure you can let WR1 go into the final year of his rookie contract without a new contract.

I just don't know the rules.  Am I right in this thinking?  After year 3 they either extend him or pick up his 5th year option ($14 million+)?  It has to be done after year 3 or can it be done after year 4 too?  If it's year 3, that's next year.  If they can do it after year 4 they have more time.

Johnson played RG before and has the measurables and athletic traits I could see Howie taking the bait on. Darnell Wright is another one who could play RG and RT. Reminds me a little of Brandon Brooks. I love Jones but he hasn't played on the right side.

Well...this offseason the only additions were inferior players (as measured by cost) at the same position in comparison to the ones that left.  So they had losses and basically zero additions.  So I don't think it's going far to say, moving forward, they'll be able to keep their talent without adding any.  That would be an improvement to this offseason.

You’re going too far again. We’re not going to go four years without a significant outside FA signing, especially since Hurts’ contract is cheap over that time span.

What if the Eagles think Skoronski is an all-pro talent at RG?

If Stout thinks he’s worth pick 10 then I’m in but I generally agree with HE’s logic

I wish I had the tweet or bookmarked it that talked about what actually happened that night with that trade. It actually came down on ownership    they were listening to somebody who was close to Joshua Harris and that’s why they actually made that move. But the sixers shifted it to Brett brown. I’ll try to find the tweet cause it was discussed in a sixers podcast. Which who knows the real truth but i wouldn’t be surprised if that’s how it went down.

Every big qb contract carries that risk no?

It was the only call. Obviously in an ideal world you get to see a few years before paying but that’s not the way it played out and this is what had to be done now

If we are talking pick 30 or after, I like Dawand Jones aka Big Thanos.  They just don't grow too many human beings that can move in size 6'8 400 lbs.  The longest wing span ever at the senior bowl.  Can play RG or RT.   Is efficient in pass pro and can actually get up to the next level.  That is a helluva starting point for the best OL coach in the game.

covered that in the post. I think they take an all pro tackle at 10. Dont think they take a guard at 10.

I think a guy like Vorhees is an eagle target through and through. Injury value after draft fall. OT experience > guard convert. 320lbs

Remember in the Howie/Kelce podcase they talked about Kelce being lighter and having bigger guards to complement him. Skoronski is sub-300. Jergens is smaller too so theyre likely going to conitnue to look for bigger bodies at guard.

I think someone the other day brought up Zavala. 320+ with a very good workout. Can play. Would be very good here.

I just dont think Skoronski makes much sense for us.
