We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Even worse was that his Mom worked for the Sixers at the time IIRC.

Who is everyone's favorite OT?

In this draft, I’d much prefer Wright or Harrison at 30 over Skoronski or Johnson at 10.

covered that in the post. I think they take an all pro tackle at 10. Dont think they take a guard at 10.

I think a guy like Vorhees is an eagle target through and through. Injury value after draft fall. OT experience > guard convert. 320lbs

Remember in the Howie/Kelce podcase they talked about Kelce being lighter and having bigger guards to complement him. Skoronski is sub-300. Jergens is smaller too so theyre likely going to conitnue to look for bigger bodies at guard.

I think someone the other day brought up Zavala. 320+ with a very good workout. Can play. Would be very good here.

I just dont think Skoronski makes much sense for us.

Zavala would be a phenomenal addition if they can acquire more mid round picks.

If the Eagles see an all-pro talent, I think they should take him (unless it’s an RB). This draft is weak enough in the top 10 to justify it.

ok. But there might be all pro talent at CB or along the DL.

Yup.

And if there isn’t?

Maxey is just...amazing.  Half the time he looks so uncoordinated out there but he's so good.

Come on down Nolan Smith!  Likely the only non RB all pro talent available at 10.  The more I watch Murphy, Van Ness and even Wilson, the more I like Smith.  Just so much more explosive and better against the run despite his size.  And I guarantee Howie noticed how Reddick single handedly destroyed opponent Qbs in the playoffs.   If he has a chance to draft his clone, I think he is running that pick up to the podium

trade down. Dont need to take Skoronski at 10.

Yes. He. Is.

Gonna be a fun first round.

False equivalency.  Swapping Hurts and Fields and getting 2 or 3 Firsts and 2 Seconds is a better choice.

I posed the hypothetical because the choice is to either pay the money to Hurts or draft a new QB. Further, if the Eagles were not extending Hurts this offseason it would be because the team did not have success last season. As far as outcomes for this past season, I don’t think any of would have put losing in the Super Bowl but having Hurts playing at an elite level as a bad outcome. Are you suggesting they should have drafted instead of Smith or trade for Fields?

Need a plan to use both of them on the field at the same time.  Sounds like I'm being sarcastic and it would be easy, but it may actually be a bit tricky.

It's very tricky to have a pair of sub-240lb players as full time pass rushers.  You don't want them spending too much time in run support or too much time in coverage.  That's tricky to figure out two wide edge guys simultaneously.

If you have a pair of Reddick twins....who does twin 2 take off the field?  Sweat?  That may be a contain problem squaring off against OTs.  Dean or whoever our other starting LB is?  Then we are asking them to be a read and react off ball LB.

Keep in mind I'm saying this as someone who secretly wants them to draft Nolan Smith.  They just need to be prepared to figure out how to make it work.

I see Isiah Wynn still sitting around in FA. If he comes cheap I'd bring him in. Let Stout work with him, could compete at RG immediately and be a depth piece.

I’m getting old. I thought you were suggesting Isaiah Wilson and I almost threw up.

Wynn isn’t talking to teams if it’s less than $5M apy. I don’t think he’s signing for cheap.

You would think unless the Texans get blown away by an offer they have to take either Stroud or Young.  Yeah, Anderson is nice but that franchise is not going anywhere without a legit QB.  At some point, they have to roll the dice to get back in the game.

I really just want one of Anderson or Carter. The only two blue chip prospects in the entire draft IMO. Would feel like a waste of a top 10 pick if Howie can't swing either. Carter much more likely than Will Anderson obviously.

Just listened to Bo Wulf on NFL Radio.  He seems to think the Eagles will pick at 10 and trade down from 30.  He guesses OL will be the first pick

I have a theory after listening to Jimmy Kempski today. He said he had a reason to believe Hurts deal got done before the draft or after but not past June. He didn’t want to go into why or how he knew this but suggested it was "off the record”. He also said after the owners meeting that his "hunch” was OL will be the first pick. I’m thinking Howie got a little loose at the owners meeting party and maybe tipped his hand with some things.

I like Wilson. I just really dislike his 2 lis franc injuries. Would scare me off taking him in the top 5 and probably top 10.

I just don't know the rules.  Am I right in this thinking?  After year 3 they either extend him or pick up his 5th year option ($14 million+)?  It has to be done after year 3 or can it be done after year 4 too?  If it's year 3, that's next year.  If they can do it after year 4 they have more time.

They can only pick up his option before his 4th season. So next offseason. Once they pick it up, ideally they extend him in the 2025 offseason.
