7000 suckers. All of the Eagles YouTube content creators probably follow him and that’s why their content sucks.

Bucky Brooks said tonight Levis is picking up steam and could go ahead of Stroud.

Picking up steam?  With whom?  Pretty sure teams have their boards pretty much set at this point.  Only adjustments might be as a result of Top 30 visits today and tomorrow, but I suspect players visiting this week were for confirmation more than anything else.  The whole "picking up steam”, moving up/down draft boards etc. really is more geared towards professional mock draft publishers than teams at this point.  That doesn’t mean there aren’t still some in house discussions but nothing the media would be privy to.  Anything revealed at this point is smokescreen, misdirection and probably focused to misleading the competition.  Hope Howie’s team is spreading the manure far and wide.

I just don't love Johnson but I don't hate him either. I really like Jones and Wright.

I think Wright would be a complete disaster here. It’s a one off incident but him  dm’ing the one draft nobody was the biggest red flag in the world. We’ve seen how soft players perform here very recently from Ben Simmons to Agholor to Reagor and even to Sanders to an extent. I just can’t get past that to feel like he’s a good pick.

No. They didn't get lucky with Mailata. They saw talent and had a coach who could develop it. That's not luck.

Every other team passed on Dickerson in Round One. Howie has taken all kinds of heat in here for drafting guys with injury histories. He hit on this one and if you rip him for other picks you have to tip your hat to him for this one.

He picked Kelce. Was that luck? I guess. Like Brady was luck. And, like Brady, every guy they picked ahead of Kelce busted out.

More to the point, I think drafting Lane was luck. Chip wanted Dion Jordan. We  were lucky someone more stupid than Chip picked Dion.

They drafted a freak athlete who had NEVER played football in his entire life in the 7th round. LMAO, they 100% got lucky.

Just can’t see pick 10 as anything other than DL. Skoronski would probably be the "safest” pick but I just don’t see going guard that early unless it’s a Nelson who is basically already an All-Pro.

Serious question, you good with Murphy, Smith, or Van Ness at 10 assuming Carter and Wilson are gone? I don't see the value in DL at 10 unless someone falls.

I wonder if Fitzgerald gave him some of his favorite places to check out at the Philly airport and around the city.

Not saying how I’d have them ranked but I think the way they’d have it ranked is probably

1. smith

2. Van ness

3. Murphy

Not suggesting anyone pushing for Bijan is casual. Just the casual fan, which is probably the majority of the fan base overall, will be the loudest if Eagles pass on him. He’d likely be the most exciting pick for everyone, but if he’s not the pick I think most here would understand why he’s not.

I love bijan robinson. Like I’ve said went to a couple of his high school games out here. Met him. He’s an amazing kid. Like really good head on his shoulders. I’d say a better human being than even a football player. I’d love to see a local kid from Tucson hit it big with the eagles. But I’d really be shocked if the eagles take a rb at 10. Being an analytics drive organization it would go against what the long term numbers/analytics suggest when picking inside top 10.

Had to end sometime, but bummer to see Bryson Stott's hitting streak end at 17 games.

Just as bad, falter first Phillies starter to go 7 innings. We lost that game cause we got 1 hit

I know it's not popular at all with a lot of fans but now with Hurts locked in, imagine building a juggernaut offense with Hurts, Brown, Smith, Goedert and Robinson for at least the next 2, maybe 3 years.  I think it's also really important that like you said, Robinson is an awesome human.  I think the Eagles do everything they can to have the highest character guys in the locker room.

Found our perfect trade partner for 30........Vegas. Hopefully there is a QB they really want at 30 to get that fifth year option. They have a ton of day two and three picks. 38, 70, 100, 109, 141, 174, 204, 214, 220, 231.

30 (620 points) for 38, 109, and 141 (631 points)

If they were going to do everything to load up the offense I'd rather take Smith-Njigba than Robinson. Drafting a RB at 10 isn't smart, period.

Love this kid. It's nothing but a pipe-dream, but I would trade up for him in a heartbeat.

Keep in mind almost no one really moves in the months leading up to the draft. "Picking up steam” simply means the media was way off on their initial prediction.

100% whatever it is.  The same can be said about when people say a team got good 'value' with a pick.  The spot a player gets drafted is his exact value determined by nfl teams making picks.  Value compared to media evals is nonsense

How is it "luck” when you correctly identify a "freak athlete” then make your coach leave his vacation to scout him, then do background research to confirm he has the mentality to make the transition, then trade up to make sure you get him instead of your competitors, and then coach the guy who has never played the sport into becoming a top ten player at his position?

That’s about the farthest thing from luck you could possibly have. The Eagles went to EXTREME lengths to make this happen. Every part of Mailata’s career with the Eagles has been a deliberate, concerted effort by the Eagles organization.

To chalk it up to luck is, frankly, typical of people who don’t know what it takes to be successful.

You’d have to be a pure dickeater to badmouth the guy like that.  In all seriousness, he’s getting drafted by the Ravens so he and Lamar can monitor each other’s social media accounts.

It's a real issue. You have to have a psych profile like Brandon Graham to make it in the Philly market. People talk ish about you all day long, for years, and it motivates you to be better and then you love the culture of the city because it is about toughing it out and winning. I'm reading about the CEO of MillerKnoll who is getting blasted for saying to employees that you can visit pity city but you can't live there. That's Philly. Take that pity party ish somewhere else and buck up. If you can't then you can't handle the city's culture, it will break you. We need dogs.

If it wasn't luck the Eagles (or some other team) would have drafted him much sooner than the 7th round. Try using common sense.

This would be my philosophy heading into THIS draft...

Van Ness / Murphy / Nolan Smith:

Paris Johnson / Jones / Skoronski

Witherspoon

7 names.  Good chance all 7, or at least 5-6 of them, are on the board at 10.  Anyone you like better is off the board already.

1. Do you like any of them enough to use #10 overall?

2. When 5-6 of them are on the board, do you have them all graded comparably to trade down 5-8 spots and just pick who is there after the trade down?

3.  If you have them all graded comparably, what is it worth to still have your pick of the group?  How much would it take to slide down and have it dictated to us?

Chris Canty today on ESPN listed his Top 5 O-linemen as follows:

5. O’Cyrus Torrance

4. Peter Skoronski

3. Paris Johnson

2. Broderick Jones

1. Darnell Wright

i realize it is one person’s opinion, but don’t you have to add Wright to your Johnson Jones Skoronski trio?

The very fact that the Eagles traded up to get Mailata proves it wasn’t "luck.”

They leapfrogged a team (going off memory it was the Steelers or Dolphins) who were planning on taking him. That’s SKILL. It’s understanding draft value, understanding the competition, properly evaluating a player’s ability not just in your own team’s opinion, but in OTHER teams’ opinions.

The draft is a game of incomplete information. The idea that a late round pick is luck because it’s successful is as silly as saying all the top 5 picks that bust are just bad luck. No. Medical exams were unskillfully assessed, background checks were misinterpreted or incomplete, scouting reports were inaccurate, etc.

It’s skill, but no one is perfect.
