What do you expect him to say?  Man, I was so pissed they decided not to bring me back that I got blacked out drunk and ended up joining a squad who's line can't even put pads on without throwing up.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Would need to know how and what question was asked. If it was how do you feel about your situation now or how do you feel about leaving Philly and coming here? Could have just said grateful to play in Philly behind that oline and looking forward to playing behind my new oline and having success too.

Seriously.  He's running behind this group.  He's not going to throw them under the bus.

How is it "luck” when you correctly identify a "freak athlete” then make your coach leave his vacation to scout him, then do background research to confirm he has the mentality to make the transition, then trade up to make sure you get him instead of your competitors, and then coach the guy who has never played the sport into becoming a top ten player at his position?

That’s about the farthest thing from luck you could possibly have. The Eagles went to EXTREME lengths to make this happen. Every part of Mailata’s career with the Eagles has been a deliberate, concerted effort by the Eagles organization.

To chalk it up to luck is, frankly, typical of people who don’t know what it takes to be successful.

Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.  TEW’s description of the team’s preparation is spot on.

You could've made the same argument against Dickerson.  Then Brooks & Seumalo go down and viola!  We had a quality OL ready to step in.

Remember the seasons that were ruined because of OL injuries compounded by inadequate depth?

I would rather overcompensate to avoid those disasters again.

Meh, kinda.  Its a fair counter point but I think a "depth" or high-risk, high-reward pick is infinitely more tolerable at 37 than 10.

30 I can live with.  10 would be very hard to stomach.

I guess my point is youre closer to a Dillard than a Dickerson.

I actually like him quite a bit but his receiving game is lacking, would need to improve there. I'd be ok with him on day 3 if they miss out on others.

Turds have a lot of holes.  I'm curious if they go OL, TE, or RB with their first round pick.

Interesting.  Seems to be a strong correlation between this stat and how good a passing game is?  Perhaps a measure of how confident a team is in the passing game?

Dallas is dead last?

I brought this guy up a few weeks ago but haven't heard much else from the board but what does everyone think of Trevor Reid from Louisville?

Listed at 6-foot-4 and 311 pounds (up 14 pounds from the All-Star game), Reid posted a workout at his pro day that would have reached several top marks at the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine. He posted a 4.90s 40-yard dash, a 38-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot-4 broad jump and 25 repetitions of 225 on the bench press

I have a feeling the Cowboys are going to come away with a RB I like more than whoever the Eagles end up getting.

Would this surprise you?

You don't use pick 10 on depth

Sure you do. If he's the BPA and you project a need in the near future. Would you really prefer to draft a lesser player?

If the BPA never sees the field, is he really the BPA?

Edit: what if, at every single position the Eagles have a pick, a OT was the best player on the board?  Do you draft 7 Tackles?

You can use that same argument for Bijan Robinson.  What if Robinson is by far the BPA, are you going to draft the lesser player?

Hating on the OL that made you rich is some choice.

Nah. He's just making nice with his new teammates.

I prefer the 10th overall pick to make a difference within 3 years. Kelce has been on the verge of retirement for 2 seasons, lane said he wants another 2-3. So would he just replace jurgens? Because then there's another premium pick doing nothing.

Define "never."

That what if is nonsense, but a worthy try.
