Hurts extended 5 years. Robinson drafted top 10 can be signed for 5 years. Window fits. Offense is complete. From then on, you can spend all those high picks next year. and any cap space the next few years on improving defense.

And, as I've posted a few times over the last month, the DL class next year has some really nice players and there are some great DL prospects moving in to bigger roles on their college team this year who could really blossom.  Should be a really fun DL class to keep an eye on.  Dynamic DTs.

Going back to fair weather Phillies fans and what it's like to follow the team for the entire season.  This was an interesting graphic.

Solak is right that Smith didn’t flash enough as a pass rusher, but his flashes were incredible. If he didn’t have his combine, I wonder if people would even be excited to draft him at 30.

I had him as a priority target at 30 precombine

One of my friends is an orioles fan and shared something the other day on Facebook that said "pretty clear who the toughest division is", then when I pointed out how early is still held that it's clear as day that the AL east is the hardest division in baseball lol. 16 games into the season

For all the talk about Quez being a deep threat this is interesting.

Quez Watkins- 51 targets, 33 catches- 354 yards 10.7 YPC 3TD.  Longest catch, 53 yards.

Olamide Zaccheaus- 61 targets, 40 catches- 533 yards 13.3 YPC 3TD. Longest catch, 45 yards.

I know there's more to being a deep threat than what you see in the stats, but Zaccheaus equaled or outperformed Qeuz in almost every category.

Israel Ibanikanda and Chase Brown. No clue what they ran at the combine but they both look fast on the field. Tucker from Syracuse as well but I'm just not feeling him for the Eagles for some reason.

Abanikanda is fast, but has nothing else in his game. Sean Tucker is also a track guy with excellent speed. But neither are natural RBs with great vision and elusiveness. They need a big hole to run though so they can try to outrun the defenders on the 2nd and 3rd levels. If they go to the wrong team without a great OL theyll bust. Especially Abanikanda. I like Tucker more.

Charbonnet is a complete player. If hes there in round 3, its easy. Id be good with him in round 2 but a lot of people wouldnt because he lacks game breaking speed. Roshon Johnson is over-rated by people saying he is a better value alternative to Charbonnet. Hes not close to the same talent-wise. But he can potentially be good in the right system as a height/weight/speed guy. Hes not going to creat anything. Charbonnet is better making people miss. And a really good pass catcher.

Tank Bigsby is someone I like as much as Charbonnet, despite Bigsby not really showing receiving skills. He is a great fit here as someone good at outside zone runs, powerful runner wiht enough speed to get to the edge.

Chase Brown is a beast. I think his floor is like a Sony Michele, but I think Brown is better. Hes often forgotten by people listing RB names in here, and I have no idea why hes a mid-round pick rather than 2nd round.

Rodriquez is only falling due to his age I think. He would be a spectacular get in round 6 or 7.

7th or UDFA, Id love Tavion Thomas from Utah. Excellent power back but unfortunately he only ran in the 4.7s at the combine. Not sure you can draft that, but Id love to give him a chance here.

Ibrahim is another decent 7th/UDFA guy. Hes just solid. Nothing exciting. Pretty good strength. Reminds me of an already washed Jordan Howard who was still ok.

as anyone should. He was sure top 20 pick if he came out last year. Until the combine he seemed largely forgotten about by many, maybe due to injury this year. Then he got his buzz going again with the workout.

yeah because the eagles loved using Quez on screens so much.

I think there is something to the fact they brought Robinson in for an official visit.  Of the 30 official visits that @BigEd76 tracks, he’s got 26 prospects listed so far.  From that list 16 are DL/OL, 7 are DBs, 1 QB in DTR, and only 2 RBs — Bijan and the late-round prospect.

Not saying Bijan is the pick, but I think if Howie has to pick at #10 and Robinson is clearly the BPA, the Eagles see him as an option rather than forcing a pick or taking a trade down of poor value.

Incidentally, I also get the strong suspicion that the Eagles have the other Robinson (DTR) as a priority late-round target in the draft as their developmental QB.

Don't remind me.  No idea what they were thinking with that.

Yeah. I’m coming around on this. I love the thought of a fast running back who decisively hits the hole, but the lack of contact balance and elusiveness will be a problem. He’ll probably end up being a frustrating player.

Good stuff

Sheil is on the Spears bandwagon. Said he’s his favorite RB to watch. Good taste. Hope so badly the Eagles wind up with him.

If we didn't have Gainwell/Scott I'd be fine there with Spears, but I do not want three guys all smaller in stature. I like Penny but his unreliability can't be ignored and Sermon couldn't get called up. I have others ahead of Spears due to this.

What do you think of Zach Evans?

Yeah. Spears is my favorite RB in the draft (not the best back, but my favorite of the mid-round guys), but there’s too much redundancy, and he likely is a shorter shelf life anyway because he’s smaller and has two ACL tears.

I agree

The interest in a second NT is interesting.

That Zaccheaus fellow is actually younger than Britain Covey.

Saw a mock where we traded the Chargers 10 for 21, 54 and Ekeler. I didn't look up the point values for the draft positions but like the idea of getting Ekeler.

On the draft value chart the picks would 1210 combined and eagles pick is 1300. Problem is ekeler wants a new deal and is 28. Love the player hate paying him at 28.

If you're going to play 6 in the box, you need two DTs who can stop the run. It's one of the reasons I was fine with Hargrave leaving.

I honestly havent really looked at him except very briefly a long time ago. I dont remember being too impressed. But Im not sure which microscope I was looking at him under. Im not sure if I was looking for speed, or power, or a potential lead back.... Id have to look again.

I also havent paid enough attention to McBride or Spears yet who are popular names in here. I couldnt tell you a thing about them. I need to do that.

I guess, but you also want to have at least one DT who can rush the passer on early downs. Davis isn’t that yet, and a guy like the Baylor DT ain’t it either.

Another reason I’d really like Mazi or Benton
