Post draft the free agent activity will pick back up. I think teams are waiting to see which needs they can’t fill and will go out after the draft to fill them with free agents and trades.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

B+ for me. I just can’t get on board with a R1 RB. They’re not worth it. Take a Porter or Banks at 18 and a RB in place of Williams and it’s an A+.

Just watched something on YT where 6 out of 6 Philly fans said Bijan should be the pick at 10. One even said if they take anyone over him besides Jalen Carter he will whip his remote at the TV.

That’s because people for the most part, are dumb. Bijan wouldn’t even be in my top 10 options at 10. I would take any of the 1st round rated OL, DL, or CB prospects over him.

Solak heard the same thing my friend who covers the cardinals told me which is the cardinals like Wilson enough to take him over Anderson.

if BPA, I’d be happy with Smith at 10 but with a small trade back a couple of places and collect more later round picks.

Imagine him and Reddick coming at you

For all the talk about Quez being a deep threat this is interesting.

Quez Watkins- 51 targets, 33 catches- 354 yards 10.7 YPC 3TD.  Longest catch, 53 yards.

Olamide Zaccheaus- 61 targets, 40 catches- 533 yards 13.3 YPC 3TD. Longest catch, 45 yards.

I know there's more to being a deep threat than what you see in the stats, but Zaccheaus equaled or outperformed Qeuz in almost every category.

He might just be a sneaky good fit on this team

I don't get why beat writers keep mocking LVN over Nolan Smith to us. Nolan Smith is suuuuch an Eagles pick.

Greg Ward could never.

That was a long time ago when Kuechly was still playing and Matt Ryan could throw a football

Good thing we have a QB who can throw a football!

Smith actually plays the run well.  Weight in today's nfl isn't as big a deal as it used to be

Zaccheaus was a receiver for Atlanta, which was pretty devoid of pass recipients when Pitts went down.  Quez was competing for targets with AJ, Smith (who both set Eagles receiving records) Goedert (except his minimum injury time).  That is comparing apples to apple cores, IMHO.  Quez is over a tenth of a second faster than OZ and frankly, both are straight line fast but pretty run of the mill as far as quickness.  Quez plateaued a bit last year partly because he wasn’t used right, IMHO on screens where they hoped to benefit from his speed.  The good news is his work ethic seems strong and Sirianni, Johnson and Patullo have had the offseason to examine last year’s film and Quez has had the same to work on himself more.  Hopefully spending time with Jalen.  OZ wasn’t available this late in a bad WR year in the draft because he was so good last year.  BTW, a year older too and has his fourth year behind him.  Basically there was a hole left by Pascal and Howie fills holes in free agency. But OZ isn’t a deep threat.

RAS does not judge "Drops a perfect ball in your hands inside the 5 yard line, costing your team 4 points in a Super Bowl"

Quez hauls that in and KC is forced to try to score a TD fast at the end instead of killing clock for a FG and the whole game changes.

Quez is getting overjudged on that and the screens IMHO.  The latter was just the wrong use.   Sirianni has struggled a bit with screen plays but towards the end of the season he did incorporate some motion and Gainwell.  That is where the screen gold is. Another good screen runner is Scott.  Bet we see more halfback screens off motion this year.

They should watch the Bama or TCU games… there are limits to what even an elite RB can do against good competition (i.e., they are highly dependent on the OL/DL outcomes).

Yup - not to mention his family's thoughts about him returning to the field.

If Dalvin Cook is released, any interest?   He's been productive, but injuries are piling up.  Definitely a committee back now.

The weight thing varies. When teams go to a light box (4-2) they need two big uglies at DT. That 4-2 has two down DTs and two stand-up DEs. If they're going to a 4i-type alignment they really only need one at NT with guys who can play the run at the 4i positions but don't have to be 320.

Everybody else has to be fast.
