I don't think Nolan Smith meets the criteria for "special." If they can't trade up for Carter or Anderson or Carter doesn't fall to 10, I think it's likely to be OT.

I think it's more likely the Eagles view one of the OTs as a stud heir apparent to Lane(plus a very important backup in case he goes down) than it is they view one of the non Wilson, Anderson edge rushers as a "can't miss/unique" player. I just don't see any of those guys as unique. I think some of them have high upside. But a lot of guys in a lot of drafts have high upsides. But a player Howie drools over? I think it's more probable Howie views Paris Johnson or Jones or Skoronski as that rather than one of these promising but low production edge rushers.

I tend to think it’s gonna be Paris johnson or skoronski who people don’t want.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

I disagree.  I think Howie could view Smith's traits as 'unique' (he doesn't actually mean unique he means rare). Though I agree he could view Skoronski as rare too in that he projects to be a top RG and can backup Lane at RT which is a good immediate fit.

This idea that CBs "fall off a cliff" is not grounded in reality. They don't suddenly go from Pro Bowlers to scrubs. The most likely scenario is average play, then more decline thereafter.

So we need a CB who can be ready to start in place of Slay in 2024, not 2023.

Oh ok. So why was there only one starter last year older than 31? Why was Darrelle Revis out of the league by 32?

Regardless, you are saying my point. 2024 is the year I'm more concerned about. We didn't just extend both for average play.

Players careers also suffer from injuries. Something that certainly happen to two 30+ year old guys you are paying to run around and cover someone.

Pretending that decline is always an even downward slope because it’s your favorite team isn’t grounded in reality.

Two of my favorite offensive players this draft are RB Bigsby and WR Mingo. Both would bring physicality and the edge I want to see more from this team. I am hoping for both. Mingo has some AJ brown to his game. You can move him around the formation and he'd be quality insurance in case AJ goes down.

Did we win the Super Bowl?

Yep

Just wanted to say: Thanks Cardinals for taking him. Excited we were successful and still got rid of ‚JG‘.

Yes, I‘ll admit it. Didn‘t like him from his very first PC when he demanded to be called JG. Felt like a d-bag.

From a current and future consideration I think Wright fits better. He had a fantastic year at RT and played at LT prior to this year. I wouldn't doubt he can compete for the RG spot with Jurgens while also being depth for both tackle spots. I think it would give us the most flexibility.

I don't want Skoronski but between him and Paris, if I had to make a choice between them two I'm going Skoronski. I think he is just the better overall player and I have to use that as my tie breaker at 10, if it comes down to them. Though I would take Brod Jones over both.

I REALLY like Campbell. I also like really Sanders. I may give a slight nod to Sanders due to his athleticism, pass rushing skills and still some untapped potential and his frame isn't even filled out yet, but man would I do back flips with either one of these two. Howie would make me very happy if he goes for one of them, but taking a LB in round 2? We know how that story goes. We just witnessed it last year by passing on Dean for Jurgens who was going to the bench for the year no less. We need Desai to pound the table or pull a Donahoe card and refuses Howie's pound after he bypasses them for some reach or back up.

If we don't draft a LB with both Desai and Matt Patricia on the coaching staff now it's going to really show how much Howie hates them lol

Great idea. Bring in a guy who will be 34, hurt his shoulder early last year and got cut because he couldn’t pass a physical. He’ll be average!

More country for old corners

Sorry to go back to uniforms but this is a great image to show just how unoriginal Nike is anymore.  I followed with some other all white with white socks.  The NFL from the 70s-90s was peak uniform goodness.  Now we just have teams wearing white tights and practice pants.  The Jets and Falcons have very small stripes but nothing that makes them any more distinctive than the rest.

There’s no way his joints are fluid

Wulf joined Kapadia in those who think Forbes sucks. Wulf last night said he watched a lot of him and thinks the guy can't play. I know a few people here were fans of Forbes.

I'd rather Pete than Paris Johnson. But give me Jones over both. I would also say Wright possibly but there may be some off field stuff and that tweet was weird. But he can be a bulldozer at RG and play RT. He excelled on the right side too this year. I like him a little better than Paris.

Love Wooden, mentioned him before in here. He has that inside outside flexibility and some pass rushing skills. Maybe round 3 area.

Trade up for: Carter

Pick at 10: Bijan

Trade down from 10: Porter JR.

Your turn.

Not sure why their opinions matter. They are journalists, not nfl scouts.

I'm not sure what they don't like about 14 INTs, maybe the off-coverage or trail technique that Forbes/Mississippi State plays.  The weight is an issue, but he's played 3 years in the SEC and survived.  If he's going to be covering Jordan Addison, Zay Flowers, Jalen Hyatt, etc. - maybe you don't need to be built like Ringo.

They both said his interception real was really unimpressive, like maybe one good play among them.
