The fact that there isn’t a single consensus player here highly probable to be available at 10 that everyone here loves tells you all you need to know about the quality of this draft. And why I think Howie’s gonna bust his ass to move up for Anderson or Carter.

Has there ever been a time the Eagles had a top 10 pick where there wasn’t a single player that could be there that everyone really liked?

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

I dont think Murphy or Van Ness are more of a reach than Skoronski at 10. Im saying you trade down, and take any of them. Theyre all in the same territory imo. Skoronski was an excellent college player, but hes not some generational talent at all. He shouldnt be in the discussion at 10.

Meh. 10 sucks this year.

We will see. I think there still solid hope at least one DL or CB will be there out of the group you listed as off the board.

Yeah, it’s getting to the point where I’d be fine with Robinson at 10. This draft is so completely underwhelming.

I don’t love Smith either, but would be thrilled with either corner.

Its not a bad thing that we have few picks this year, and a whole bunch next year.

On the other hand, some of these positions are deep and even if we dont love pick 10, I think we can end up with a bunch of solid players if we stick to our board and pick the BPAs.

Have you watched the Kollman video on the edge class? He will get you excited about guys like Murphy, Smith, and Van Ness.

I haven’t. I listen to his podcast though.

Vid just came out today. Over an hour and a half because he had to fit so many prospects in.

I posted it in here earlier.

When watching any UGA defender what sticks out to me is while there are 1-on-1 wins for every one of their players, so many of the plays that their draft prospects make are clean up after the other guys cause a QB to scramble or a RB to bounce.  How often are they creating their own play vs. benefiting from another defender blowing a play up?

I hate Jalen Carter but there are plays that he blew up and Nolan Smith was the beneficiary and cleaned up.  You love to see the aggressive, relentless pursuit though.  There are plays you watch where Quay Walker, Jordan Davis, Nakobe Dean, Travon Walker, Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith are all on the field.  That's insane 1st round talent so OF COURSE someone is going to make a play.  One of those guys is going to either not be blocked, blocked by an inferior player or just have a win.

It's not a knock on any of those players but I think they all just benefit from one another so much and because of that, every one of them overhyped and overrated.  Not bad football players at all but top draft prospects?  I don't think so.

I don't watch Nolan Smith and say THIS guy is worth pick 10.

Im telling you it’s bijan at 10. Stars are aligning. I’m torn on it but that’s where it’s going. I agree with the consensus that RB should not be valued as highly as other positions. But an elite RB against a good DE is a very different story. It’s bijan.  Throw in recent comments from Lurie, roseman, and bijan and it’s bijan.

This idea that CBs "fall off a cliff" is not grounded in reality. They don't suddenly go from Pro Bowlers to scrubs. The most likely scenario is average play, then more decline thereafter.

So we need a CB who can be ready to start in place of Slay in 2024, not 2023.

You can't be serious with this statement....Ramsey, Rhodes, Gillmore, Sherman, Revis, etc.  The cliff is hard and fast.

Its certainly interesting how he stopped taking visits after the eagles. He visited the Bucs first, then Philly, and no one else.

They aren't going to take a RB. The Eagles are fairly consistent with their philosophies, it's something they don't do. Free agency shows this by letting young productive LB, RB, Safety go in favor or DL, CB, OL.

Rather than drafting a RG at 10, what if the Eagles look at making some sort of trade for a guy like Caesar Ruiz?  He came in to the league as a very young 1st round pick in 2020.  He turns 24 in June but hasn't lived up to being selected with the 24th pick.  He's 6-4, 315 and the kind of clay that I think Stoutland would love to build from.

Not sure if the Saints are giving up on him yet or what it would cost to bring him in but that could be an attractive option.

I was in the grocery store a couple of months ago with my father. There was some dude there wearing a Michigan hat. My father initiated a conversation with him. Turns out it was Ruiz’s stepfather. He raised him so I guess he was like a real father to him. The guy was a big Eagles fan who even rooted for the Eagles when they played the Saints. I am certain he would be ecstatic if the Eagles ever acquired him. I got the distinct impression that the kid had been an Eagles fan too.

Interesting tidbit.  Far fetched idea but one I wouldn't mind them exploring.

I wonder if the Lions would have any interest in Quez Watkins with Williams getting the 6-game suspension.  They have 2 5ths and 2 6ths.  Not sure how other teams value Watkins but would a 5th and 6th get it done?

I keep thinking something interesting has to be coming but agreed that their MO is OL/DL and the majority of the visits have been OL/DL with a bit of CB and not really CB expected at 10

Trade up for: Carter

Pick at 10: Bijan

Trade down from 10: Porter JR.

Your turn.

Trade Up: Bijan

pick at 10: Robinson,

trade down: RB, Texas

Devon Achane is an interesting pick at RB. Undersized but elite speed and burst reminds of Chris Johnson

The #10 pick is pure a luxury pick.  That pick was gained purely to go for a QB if Jalen didn't continue to rapidly improve.  On top of that the Saints were awful making that pick a top 10 pick.  They didn't earn this pick through bad play.  The same rules don't apply to a top 10 pick as they do when you are a bottom dragging team trying to turn their franchise around.  It's an entirely different philosophy when you are a win now roster with a top 10 lottery pick 1st and you still have your own first round pick too.

We are a Super Bowl team with a high end offense everywhere but RB that could get what might be the best offensive player in the draft that turns out to be a RB that could be there at 10.  Not only do I think Howie could go Bijan but he also might trade up ahead of the Falcons to do it.

At this point I'd take just the 5th if it was offered

To play Devil’s advocate, Howie may love players that we don’t. Kind of tough to say. At #10 you usually aren’t going to get an elite level prospect, but there should be guys available with a lot of things to like, be it Gonzalez, Witherspoon, one of the OTs, Bijan, etc.

You think Pats will want to move up to 10?  They have a ton of picks in the mid rounds.

Yup. I really like him. Pretty good receiver as well. Would prefer Gibbs, but if you can get Achane in the third I think he could add an outsized explosive element to the offense relative to his draft position.
