You think Pats will want to move up to 10?  They have a ton of picks in the mid rounds.

I was thinking 14, 46, 104, 184 for 10, 62, and 219

To play Devil’s advocate, Howie may love players that we don’t. Kind of tough to say. At #10 you usually aren’t going to get an elite level prospect, but there should be guys available with a lot of things to like, be it Gonzalez, Witherspoon, one of the OTs, Bijan, etc.

Several people including Howie have said that teams will value players in this draft vastly different. One team could think Van Ness is a stud and others Smith.  But that team will think that player is worthy.

I am also opening up to the idea of Kelee Ringo at 30.  Gives you CB and Safety flexibility.  I would draft him with the intention of playing him at Safety

TE isn’t really a need, but I’m a bit enamored with Darnell Washington, especially if we end up taking Bijan.

Using Washington as an in-line TE with Goedert and Bijan could be a pretty killer running lineup while still being reasonably explosive in the passing game.

Really, any offensive additions are going to be very dependent on how the coaches view the offense going forward. We could go pass happy with our new high priced QB, in which case we will probably target a better #3 WR and look for more of a receiving RB.

We could also double down on a power run game with Bijan. In that case, Washington could be a force multiplier.

Pretty good chart by bo wulf

it is actually an intriguing article by wolf. But basically the chart said this

"The major takeaway? Probably just the intuitive reminder that the best players at the most important positions are usually found at the top of the NFL Draft. The median draft selection for an elite player at quarterback, tackle and edge rusher is within the first 20 picks. Defensive tackle joins those three in topping 60 percent of their best players coming from Round 1. Running back and interior offensive line can wait.”

Oh boy going RB and TE would be something alright….

The fact that there isn’t a single consensus player here highly probable to be available at 10 that everyone here loves tells you all you need to know about the quality of this draft. And why I think Howie’s gonna bust his ass to move up for Anderson or Carter.

Has there ever been a time the Eagles had a top 10 pick where there wasn’t a single player that could be there that everyone really liked?

Carter might be that guy but I agree waiting at ten is a gamble. Would be fine trading up or down. Anyways, I‘m just very happy we got this pick. Imagine just having #30..

If the goal is unstoppable offense, Bijan at 10-15 and Washington at 30 would be the way to go. Washington would be a great TE2 and can be TE1 *when* Goedert inevitably goes down. Bijan would immediately be the best RB we've had since Westbrook (sorry Shady).

Supports the positions that Howie has said they favor. Analytics.

This was an interesting listen. Smith apparently was suicidal and nearly drove off the road and down a cliff on the way to practice in Seattle. He received two phone calls on the way, interrupting him. He ended up making it to the Seahawks facility, where Carroll and Co. got him the help he needed to turn his life around.

I can't see Howie wanting a 29-yr old RB with a high salary but it's always possible the deal could get reworked and the pick would be late.  Still have no idea who that is and very much doubt it's legit

Derrick Henry is in the last year of his deal. His base salary (unguaranteed) is 10.5M. Even if we give a conditional 5th in 2024, I don't see how the salaries work. He'd have to take a pay cut.

Former NFL player turned media guy. He hosts non-football shows. American Ninja Warrior, I think.

If this is legit, Tennessee would probably eat money.

Hmmm

I love watching Derrick Henry, but he's a runner who gets the ball under-center a lot. He just doesn't get a ton of volume out of shotgun.

Are we suddenly going to run a ton of pistol?

A stud running back wins us the super bowl, as Sanders couldn't do Jack ish.  It's the last piece of the puzzle, our offense would be top 2 for the next 4 years

In think we miss at least 2 pieces, a RB and a slot receiver. And if we are talking next four years add RG and RT.

Still a great position to be in for sure.

That was an interesting list. He definitely went against consensus on a lot of players.

So reading Legwold’s top 100 and I learned Tennessee edge Byron Young is so old because he worked at Dollar General for two years after graduating high school.

I feel like they do that on purpose. I wonder how lists would look if no one was allowed to look at the other lists first

Maybe it plays a part, but I think the draft is just a subjective thing so you will naturally have some variance. His seems a little more against the grain than some. I like it.

Yeah I actually can answer my question both ways.  I think if completely left to their own devices most of these guys would have moronic lists because I think they really just copy from a few sources and change a little to make it different. I guess my skepticism is that they actually believe or did real research on their changes.
