As an alumni, I would be giddy for the Eagles and bummed as hell for my Badgers.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

I'd be fine signing him to a minimum-vet contract. No other team is going to give him real money

Meh, than what purpose is he serving? I wouldn't feel good about relying on him as CB2 or to stay healthy for that role. If its just a backup role only, than why not develop one of the young corners we already have for that? He feels like a high risk, low reward guy.

What about Greedy Williams or Rock Ya-Sin in FA?

I feel better about bringing in a DC from college rather than a OC. Quite a lot of college offensive concepts are making their way into the NFL.

I think Leonard was being considered for the DC job at Alabama and the Packers tried to hire him as DC last year. He turned the packers down thinking he would soon have a shot as the HC for Wisconsin. That didn’t happen with them hiring Fickell. I wouldn’t let him leave the building.

He has tons of experience playing in the NFL and has a good bit coaching now too. Also him being the interim HC for the 2nd of this past season.

@LeanMeanGM you were correct sir. They already factored in the cap savings.

He's the top candidate in Denver but they talked to Joseph for a while too

Yeah after Gannon, I'm big on hiring a former NFL player who can't stand getting picked apart up and down the field.

Still nothing on Mayo. Wonder if they'll at least try to interview him.

Eagles avoided a major disaster in signing Jones the first time. Let's not test fate.

He's a post draft 2nd round of FA type signing.  If he's on a low cost deal because they cannot keep Bradberry, I am fine with it.  He's the type of signing they should make if they don't pick a CB in the first or 2nd round.  He's an insurance signing if they do but I don't think they should target him.  I am not sure the team would have any interest at this point.

There's not going to be anything with Mayo. He already turned down interviews and Patriots gave him a contract. He's not going to suddenly take an interview after all that.

Yea, if he's just sitting out there later in the year I can see him being an option C/D move.

Nick & Howie interviewing real, external candidates is a fantastic sign that they get it.

That's two different candidates that like to blitz and play press man coverage

He just got a big contract extension and turned down interviewing for the panthers HC position. He’s the Patriots HC in waiting, he’s not leaving.

Pats lost just about all of their offensive coaches with McDaniels departure, they are not going to let the same thing happen on the defense side.

Started thinking about backup QB's again. Sam Darnold could be a decent option assuming he makes around $5-$6M. He has a little bit of mobility and the size to run the sneaks. Obviously not the runner Hurts is, but he might be able to spot start if Hurts has to miss some games.

I was going to suggest Nick Foles as he surely knows by now his days competing for a starting job are over, but I noticed he’s still under contract to the Colts at a $3.6M cap hit.  Maybe I’d wait for him to get cut?

Meanwhile, Matt Ryan is a $35.2M cap hit for next season and $18M in dead cap 😅

They guaranteed almost half of Foles 2023 salary too. I have no idea what they are doing.

True. I'd really hoped they were going to remove the interim and give him the gig. Chryst was awful.

Carson Wentz

So what's the deal with Isaiah Foskey?  Seems like a few months ago he was top 10-20 in all these draft boards and now moved into 2nd round in a bunch of them.  Back to back 10+ sack seasons... Also a crazy athlete as seen here from his Sophomore season

"In his second season for the Irish, Foskey stepped up to notch 4.5 sacks and five TFLs. The 6-5, 257-pound Californian has terrific speed and length. He’s hit 20.8 MPH on the GPS and has a blazing 10-yard split of 1.58 as well as an impressive 4.65 40." - Feldman

No Patullo.

When you look at the FA market at RB you have the following:

Saquon, Jacobs, Pollard, Sanders, Montgomery, Hunt, J. Williams, Singletary, D. Harris, J. Wilson

The supply is going to far outweigh the demand and some of these guys are going to be cheaper than expected and two or three of them could end up being dirt cheap on a one year deal. I've never been a huge fan of Sanders and all of his past weaknesses came back in spades in the SB. I wouldn't even consider bringing him back unless it was on a 1 year deal for 3 million or less. Some team will probably be dumb enough to give him a better deal.

The threat of Hurts running and the Eagles OL makes RB's look really good in this system and there is simply no need to spend any legit money on a RB. Rookie drafted in round 2 or 3, Gainwell, and Scott is more than enough at the position.

Edit

Just took a look at spotrac and you also have intriguing options like Alexander Mattison, D'onta Foreman, and James Robinson another year removed from his achilles injury. Also, Spotrac has the market value of Sanders, Hunt, Montgomery, and Harris at 7 million per on two or three year deals which is crazy to me. With the depth at the position I don't see any way all of them cash in like that, in addition to Saquon, Jacobs, and Pollard.

How can supply outweigh demand?  For every one of those Free Agents there is an open roster spot on the team that the FA has left.

There is no demand to pay them
