Damn was hoping both would fail

Pretty good deal for GB. Cause that 2024 2nd is highly likely becoming a 1st.

A-aron AND 15 for 13?? Does that seem off to anyone else?

Ummm packers getting a 2nd rounder in 2023 as well as a 2024 second rounder that likely becomes a 1st. Pretty good package considering rodgers is 40 and might retire after 2023

What happens if Rodgers plays one season and walks away?  I'm reading this as a 2023 2nd round pick and a 2024 1st round pick for the risk of a one-year rental.  Also, are the Packers eating any money?  They should be eating about half.

Rumor has it that he was going to go with 12 but then used his discount double check and got it down to 8

At least the media can all move on now with Rodgers at the Jets. What's the betting the Packers take a WR or TE in round 1 to help their QB?

It’s a pick swap. Just eliminate that since it doesn’t really matter along with the late round picks. It’s basically Aaron Rodgers for 2 second round picks, likely going to end up a first and a second round pick for Rodgers.

I could see him retiring if the Jets don't make the playoffs but he should do well with that offense

They have to eat 40.3 mil in dead money and having a 8.6 mil cap hit dealing him before June 1st

Garrett Wilson was good with their mess at QB last season as a rookie. Rodgers will help players like him elevate their games. so that O should be good

Good trade for both sides imo. Rodgers can take that roster far into the postseason, Jets still have good draft picks this year to load up their roster, that likely becomes a 1st next year. Only way this can go really bad for the Jets is if Rodgers plays into the divisional round and then retires after. Out a 1st with a good roster & no QB. I’m assuming Rodgers told Jets he’ll give them at least 2-3 years, no way they make that trade for only one year

That's less than I expected. Basically two 2nd round picks.

Which was the most ideal/fair compensation in my mind

I’m curious if either side made a concession late because Rodgers has to rework his deal and have it submitted to the league office for approval.

It was always going to get done by the draft. GB wasn’t going to wait on those picks.

Reset yr for the pack while they figure out if Love can play

Wow, Packers got more than I thought they would.

Gutekunst is going to want to help his young QB succeed, so look for them to take Emanuel Forbes.

And terrible trade for NYJ. He could retire a year from now and you lost a 1 and 2.

We immediately started drafting better once Joe Douglas left.

They have to play Buffalo, Miami and NE twice. They may not be above 3rd in the AFC East.

I do think the pick swap is a big deal for this draft. Patriots were a real threat at 14 ahead of GB to take a WR or OL, now they jump them .

Exactly; Joe Douglas should have insisted the conditional pick become a 4th if Rodgers walks away after 2023.

That roster can contend with any of those teams, now they have the QB skilled enough to beat them. I think Jets can certainly be in that conversation of top 8 teams in AFC, maybe even top 6 now.

Rodgers must have gave some assurances he’d play at least 2 years

Then they have to get past the Chiefs, Bengals, Chargers and even the Jaguars.
