We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Youd have to define what lower than expected, or higher than expected is for each of these guys. There are some on your first list that I might agree with, and others but I dont think any of us can know what you mean.

Higher or lower based off of the consensus

Wow NFC qbs are horrific.

Witherspoon

Addison

Kancey

Broderick Jones

Branch

Breese

Curious why you think Witherspoon goes lower.  How low is lower? Same for Breese.

Yeah we’re gonna destroy this conference for awhile. Better hope Panthers don’t get a competent offense around Kevin Hart

The usual WRs hanging with Hurts. Good to see Quez there with the two hardest working WRs on the team, Smith and Ward.  Last time Quez hung with Ward and Jalen, he made the sophomore jump.  Bet the spend time between the OTAs and TC with Hurts again.

Don’t like his size or makeup speed , overly aggressive, played in a stacked secondary… I think with his size and aggression he will be a flag waiting to happen . I wouldn’t guess lower than 15

Breese mid second half pick

I think both Witherspoon and Gonzalez are both being pushed higher in this draft because of the lack of top end talent.  They are nice players but normally I wouldn't think top 10 for either of them.

I wouldn't say he really made a jump.  His rookie year he didn't play until the end due to injuries.  But when he finally got in towards the end kf the year he started making plays.

Same for Skoronski, Smith, Van Ness, Johnson. This draft stinks.

I think the corners are really good though.

OL as well for sure.

Truthfully if a doormat team would swap 1s for next year a draft and add a kicker, I’d do it.

Watching the devils win just has me stewing about the flyers ownership situation.

I like the 2nd tier CB more than I do the top to be honest.  Clark Phillips is just going to be a thorn in the opponents side every Sunday.  Forbes is a ballhawk and has a nose for the endzone, and you can't really teach that.  He's the opposite of Gonzalez.  Gonzalez is the ultra athlete who doesn't have the instincts yet, and no idea if he ever will.  He's Byron Jones to me. Deonte Banks is just a bully and I love his style of play.

Adding on.  Joey Porter Jr. is a guy I love but I think he's in the wrong era.  He's Al Harris.  He would have been great for this team in the 2000s.  Not sure how he fits today's NFL and the Eagles style of defense.

If DJ Turner had any return experience, I'd be all over him.

Byron Jones was a fantastic CB at the NFL level though.

Jimmy Butler out here doing gods work against the bucks

Jimmy Butler might be my favorite short lived Philly athlete of all time. He was built for this city and would have gone down as a Philly legend.

I think Skoronski would be in the lower half  most years. Same for Johnson. Van Ness is 2nd round.

Smith would've been drafted in the 1st half regardless.  Top end athletic ability, great attitude, work ethic.  With the lack of starting experience you have to project to the next level but, in my eyes, there isn't much doubt that this guy is going to be a playmaker.

The only knock is size but Reddick dispels that myth.  Long gone are the days of needing a huge DE to man the edges.  The goal in this passing league is to get to the QB in less than 2.4 seconds.  To my knowledge, besides Anderson, nobody in this class offers that level of speed rush.

To boot, Smith is a great run defender with his change of direction and speed.  He can drop in coverage as well as blitz.  The guy can do it all.

Of all, the potential draft prospects that could fall to 10, Smith is the best potential prospect.  I'm 💯 % in on Smith as the prospect I want most for this team if we stay at 10.  And would prefer him over a move up for Carter.

Yeah I wish Butler was still here. If it wasn’t for Leonard’s miracle shot I think we would have won it all that year.

Phillips has a long injury history, and after watching some of Forbes I was really unimpressed. Some pundit made the comment that only a couple of his INT’s were actually good plays. I agree.

Of the day 2-3 CB’s I like Tyrique Stevenson, Jaylon Jones, and Darius Rush. Oh, and Riley Moss…not only is he good but he’d be the first decent white CB since Angie Harmon’s husband was playing.

If they stand pat at 10 and Anderson, Wilson, Carter, Witherspoon, Gonzalez are all gone then yes my pick is Smith. Could be some really interesting defensive formations with him and Reddick out there together.

If he drops to #10, trade down and pick up a 2024 1st.
