71 players on the Eagles roster out of a potential 90.  Suggests Howie is really focused on UDFAs with only six picks this year. Hopefully those include a P and a RS.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

From the athletic

On Maryland CB Deonte Banks DB coach 2: "He's really talented, really athletic. He's a good press corner. A
little looser than Gonzalez and more physical." DC 1: "The reason why I really like him is, I think you tell him, Just cover this guy, and he'll be, 'OK, whatever.'Watch him against Marvin Harrison and it's like he was making this look way too easy. He is inconsistent. To me, that's been
the Maryland football program."
On Penn State CB Joey Porter Jr. DB coach 2: "You like his length but I think he's stiff. If he doesn't win at the
line of scrimmage, he's in trouble. He gets stacked on vertical routes."

Yea. Feels like a Colts or someone similar smokescreen. He did nothing wrong to drop his stock, and he was the best QB at the combine. To come out a few days before the draft that he is dropping seems like nonsense.

Live look-in at the state of Wisconsin with rodgers being traded to the jets today and bucks losing tonight to be a game away from elimination

Yeah for these teams in the top 10 to not take a chance on one of these guys seems moronic.  I'd rather be wrong trying to get a franchise QB then passing on an opportunity when you get in the top 10. Teams circle the drain for years trying

Depends on the team and situation. Seahawks and Lions could use a QB but if they don’t love anyone I can’t fault them for not going for it. Texans and Colts have no real excuse though.

Agreed except I might change love to like. Seahawks & Lions would be foolish to pass on someone they thought could be the guy in a year

Had mine on the 6th.  A couple of days of mild to moderate pain and unsightly urine, but all good after that

Kidney stone lasering

So many odd parts of the transition process I was unaware of…

Drink lots and lots of water. 3-4 liters per day. I had a kidney stone last year it was so painful. Also drink a glass of lemon juice a day and get regular 6 month appointments with your urologist to make sure none are forming if you’re prone to them.

The kidney stone wasn’t the worst pain in terms of intensity I’ve ever had. Though it was close. But what made it overall the worst is because there was no stopping it, it was unrelenting. There’s no position you can lay in or contort your body in that makes it go away. Which isn’t the case for most pains you get there’s always something you can do to ease the pain. With the stone it’s nonstop throbbing. Felt like Mike Tyson in his prime was punching my flank over and over again for hours on end.

Also cut down on the nuts and sodium if you can help it. Anything with oxalates don’t go overboard with. You can google what has those. Greens have them.

Thursday needs to get here already.  We’ve gone from 18 people definitely going in the top 10, to now pushing the ones who are top 4 prospects out of the top 10

I think Skoronski would be in the lower half  most years. Same for Johnson. Van Ness is 2nd round.

Smith would've been drafted in the 1st half regardless.  Top end athletic ability, great attitude, work ethic.  With the lack of starting experience you have to project to the next level but, in my eyes, there isn't much doubt that this guy is going to be a playmaker.

The only knock is size but Reddick dispels that myth.  Long gone are the days of needing a huge DE to man the edges.  The goal in this passing league is to get to the QB in less than 2.4 seconds.  To my knowledge, besides Anderson, nobody in this class offers that level of speed rush.

To boot, Smith is a great run defender with his change of direction and speed.  He can drop in coverage as well as blitz.  The guy can do it all.

Of all, the potential draft prospects that could fall to 10, Smith is the best potential prospect.  I'm 💯 % in on Smith as the prospect I want most for this team if we stay at 10.  And would prefer him over a move up for Carter.

"To boot, Smith is a great run defender with his change of direction and speed.  He can drop in coverage as well as blitz.  The guy can do it all."

I like the RAS numbers.  I like 238 pounds and 4.39.   But I still think that 238 is small for DL.

I think those are great numbers for ILB.   Can he do ILB?   Can he pass rush from the DE some of the time and ILB on first, second.  Or whatever.

I like the players with high RAS.  Smith has that.

Nolan Smith v Saquon Barkley as RB - ras compare
Nolan Smith has a 1.47 10 split at 238 pounds
Nolan Smith has a 10 Ras as a RB, higher than Barkley
https://ras.football/ras-compare/?&p1=20038&p2=16991&pos=RB

What I'd like would be for Bijan to have Nolan Smiths numbers, a 10 Ras as a RB.  Then I would say,  total freakbeast with great production, take him.   But Bijan has top Ras numbers,  but they're not jaw dropping like Nolan Smiths.

Last year the Eagles had 26 on defense and 22 on offense.   The defense has 4 more players than the offense.  Maybe the defense can let the offense borrow 4 players.   The Eagles have a lot of players already and could add more players, on defense, who have the exact numbers you want on offense.   Nolan Smith has a 10 Ras as a RB, a 10 Ras as a WR, 10 Ras as FB.

PrepStar Magazine five-star prospect, #2 prospect nationally, #2 WR
transferred to IMG Academy in January of 2017, after two years at Calvary Day, where he played DL and RB
offensively, he led the team with 712 rushing yards and scored 12 total TDs.

Nolan Smith is a versatile freakbeast.   Approve of the Eagles getting him at 10.

Probably the most ridiculous "rumor" I heard today and there were a lot of them. I think this is all complete and total BS and Houston will still take him. I hope I am wrong though. I hope at least one of those top four QB's is there at 10 so the Eagles can trade down for a king's ransom.

Because at 10 he’s ours and we’re converting him to a hybrid skill player. Chip Kelly’s "Taser” 2.0!!!!

That might work (even though not worth it) with Robinson. Not with Stroud.. 😁

To be fair with Stroud, we thought Justin Fields was a top 5-10 lock and went 11

I think the Packers won this trade big time. A Diva QB forcing his way out that is almost 40.. they shouldn‘t have gotten what they did.

Sure, I think that same thing more often than not when a QB is traded but I think if I was a Packers fan, I‘d be very happy with that outcome. Especially considering his ‘success‘ in the playoffs.

Just a couple days away from the first round of the draft, and I've spent virtually zero time doing any research.

So, I need some help.  Who are the 3-5 names of the guys I should be ecstatic for the Eagles to draft in Round 1 (10 & 30), and who are the 3-5 names of the guys that, if selected, I should go storm the NovaCare Complex to slap Howie?

The slap (and message about his failure to address defensive players in the draft) to which I fully expect Howie will respond:

I don't know much this year, but I can guarantee that 10 players will be top 10 picks.
