Guarantee:  the Eagles will not face a single team in the playoffs next year that they do not face in the regular season.

Other teams will fear us even the 49ers when we are done with them again next year.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Woof.  Next years schedule is brutal.  Even the bad teams are the fashionable teams to be good next year.

You have to beat the best to be the best.

I’m not a supporter of the head coach calling plays in-game under any circumstances.

With the exception being Andy Reid.

I’m a big fan of Jarrett Patterson  , he can play and play well all 3 positions of iol

Stromberg  another iol player

Re Torrence - He is a big mofo, north of 350 lbs already.

I like the dynamic we have between the left and right sides of the line - Left is massive and overpowering, Right is nimble and explosive.

How would you compare Cam Jurgens to these two guys.

I think the Senior Bowl demonstrated that Mauch from North Dakota State can also play all three well.  He als has considerable experience and quality performance at Tackle.  His arms are a bit shorter than is ideal for Tackle, but he could certainly be a spot starter there as well.

So Slot WR, RB, RB with the first 3 picks.

No reason at all to pick RB twice in the first 3 picks.

So why does Leonhard not have a job at all or drawing interest from other teams with a DC need?

Not being snarky, just don’t know anything about him.

Packers tried to hire him around 2020-2021 and he declined. He must have seen that sinking ship and didn’t want to be stuck on a post Rodgers rebuilding team.

Good question. I read that he was going to take a year off after parting ways with Wisconsin. He seemed to be on a fast track to a college HC job before losing out to Fickell. Maybe he’s just being picky, or maybe Lurie is offering big money.

Yeah he gets 1 million if he doesn't work so he has the luxury of not taking anything this year that he feels is a lesser opportunity than he could get in a year.  The Eagles DC job is a really good one.  Offensive oriented HC, major market and a good team & offense to make him look better.

Tuli Tuipulotu , might be the most underrated DL in the draft . His get off is crazy , really strong player . He played all across the line , lot of 5 T . I think he is a first rd talent , for sure a top 30 , will fit any D .

Agreed. The size/burst combo is pretty special. You just don’t see that too often. Would love to see the eagles grab him in that 30-40 range.

He's very intriguing but still have bad college PTSD from Chip. I know that doesn't make all college coaches not worth hiring, but it's there.

At least he wouldn't be a HC. I'd be leery of college head coaches, but I'd be more willing to give a coordinator a go.

Davis is a natural NT. Reddick and sweat on edges. I could see Dean thriving in that kind of front. The LBs have to be smart

Know whats missing for us to play single high? Earl thomas type Fs that can play center field.

though i think maddox might be able to fill that role

Can CJGJ play single high?

If not, then drafting a slot CB and moving Maddox to Center Field is an option.  Playing Jobe in the slot is also an option, although I don’t know how good an option it would be.

Probably because he's been in college eventhough he's played in the NFL and is known.

I remember Rex Ryan talking about him when he was with the Jets saying how smart he was and was basically the QB of the defense.

I am unsure honestly. Lean towards no but he is a great fit at Ss in that scheme

Julius Brents put his name on the map in Manhattan, Kansas, but he might have just propelled himself up teams and the Steelers draft boards by what he did in Mobile, Alabama at the Senior Bowl. A unique frame for a cornerback, Brents is a muscled-up, 6-foot-3 cornerback with an 82 7/8 inch wingspan. That’s elite length and size. And don’t think that Brents doesn’t know exactly that.

"I definitely use my length to my advantage, any time I can,” Brents said. "When I get out there, I want to make guys feel uncomfortable. There is nothing that I want to do more than make a wide receiver’s life harder.”

Julius Brents NFL Draft Scouting Report

CB, Kansas State Wildcats

Julius Brents is a redshirt senior cornerback and a two-year contributor that entered the 2022 season on the Jim Thorpe Award Watch List. Brents is listed at 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds and has exceptional length with his height.

On the field, Brents utilizes his size and length to be a productive player against the run. Brents is a physical corner that is a high-level defender against the run. Brents does a good job of shedding receivers to free himself to make a tackle on the ball carrier. Brents also does a good job of closing distance to the ball carrier working from depth. In situations where he is aligned 10-plus yards off the ball, Brents still does a good job of quickly closing downhill as a physical presence against the run or passing quick game. Brents is an intriguing cornerback prospect that has the possibility to align at safety in situations

Against the pass, Brents uses his exceptional size and length to be disruptive. In press situations, Brents does a good job of being physical with receivers and disrupting their timing and their release, which ultimately affects their ability to get proper positioning on their routes. Brents also uses his length to challenge receivers at the catch point. Whether it’s short-to-intermediate routes or deep passes, Brents can use his length to get a hand or arm in the receiver’s way to deflect the pass.

Brents does some good things in coverage but there are some elements that he needs to work on. In off-coverage situations, Brents has to flip his hips to run vertically with receivers—his open hip transition is not quick and receivers are able to get on top of him and begin to separate. On deep passes, Brents lacks the top speed to stay in phase with receivers to carry them vertically. Oftentimes, Brents feels receivers separating and will reach out to grab them, which could result in a pass interference penalty.

Top Reasons to Buy In:

  • Size and length
  • Physical tackler
  • Positional versatility

Top Reasons For Concern:

  • Top-end speed
  • Questionable in man coverage
  • Scheme dependent
