Can somebody that knows OL play better shed some light if the Skoronski/Rashwan Slater comp holds up? Similar RAS, similar measurements etc. If he can turn into a Slater lite at OT when Lane steps away I'd take him as RG in the meantime.

I don’t know S, but Skoronski didn’t hit the arm length threshold, and Slater did just barely.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

The other thing Howie said in his PS last week was that this whole thing is a giant game of poker.  He's in a good position to let other teams make desperate moves.

You could have teams worried the Eagles are going to take Robinson, trade up for Carter, etc. and then someone tries to jump the gun, making a guy they want fall to them at 10.  Howie has made 1st round trades 4 out of the last 5 drafts so he'll be aggressive if he wants someone.

Trade up for - Will Anderson, Tyree Wilson, Jalen Carter

Stay at 10 - Parris Johnson, Peter Skoronski

Trade down for - Nolan Smith, Lukas Van Ness

Love the first two picks, after that it goes to total crap. Drafting a RB who is 5'8 185lbs that early is terrible. I don't like Herbig or Battle all that much.

Paris Johnson was the guy i really liked for a while i completely understand if stoutland loves the kids size, length and athleticism. Plus he has positional versatility. He makes a lot of sense but i just don’t think he makes it to 10 and not sure they move up to get him

Johnson has had visits with the Bears and Cardinals.  I don't think the Cardinals take him but the Bears might at 9.

We never know when our window is closing but I think we can say we're top 4 or 5 favorites to win the Super Bowl this year.  I think two of the most pro ready players are Bijan and Jack Campbell.  2 positions that we don't value but the difference between Morrow and Campbell IMO is huge.  Would be crazy if we bucked the trend and went this route.

OK debate time.  Should EVERY adult who catches a foul ball or homerun give it to a kid?

I'm a hard no.  Agree that it can be a dbag move to wrestle a kid for a ball, but if you catch one and want to keep it for yourself, or maybe your own kids/grandkids/niece or nephew then keep that ball.

I’ve had an issue with this for years and recently had a conversation about this very thing. I’ve gone to baseball games for over fifty years, maybe two or three a year—my first game was at Connie Mack Stadium — and I’ve never came close to a foul ball. I’ve always wanted one. And if I ever get one, I’m damn sure keeping it. My dues have been paid. I wouldn’t knock over someone to get it, andI wouldn’t wrestle it from a kid. But if I get it, it’s mine.

Pass rushers and Paris are gone at 10 they're going to trade back...or end up reaching on one of the next tier pass rushers like Van Ness/Smith

Draft class stinks, no problem if Bijan is available at 10 to take him.

I don't associate lateral movement, powerful hands, staying on feet and being a knee bender as technique, I look at all of those coming from being an exceptional athlete, which he is.

But they are. If you watch him closely, you'll see that he almost always stays square to the LOS. That is pure technique. He doesn't turn, he slides. He plays low so he doesn't get undercut and knocked off his feet. That's technique. Most big guys have a tendency to stand up. He does not. The higher you are the less leverage you have. The hands keep blockers off him until he has read the play. He has the rare ability to hold off both men when double-teamed and with his powerful grip he can pull either man when he decides which way to go. For example:

I caught fouls balls at two Phillies games in a row.

I don't want to go too far into Wentz' issues, but after seeing his backup win a SB and then a playoff game, the injuries, drafting Hurts 2nd...his confidence was shaken.

Hurts has been to a SB already, was considered an MVP candidate, would have easily won SB MVP had they won and they know he is mature and confident and is mentally tough.  They already have a backup now, but if they were to draft a QB even in the 2nd or 3rd (they shouldn't, just for argument sake), Hurts would not lose confidence.  He knows he's the franchise.

We thought and expected Wentz would be fine with it too. It's just not a good idea to go that high when you already have a QB

I don’t disagree but I do think hurts could handle it. But it just wouldn’t be a good use of picks so they shouldn’t do it for that reason above any other.

I expect them to acquire a 4th/5th round pick along the way and draft a QB like Dorian Thompson Robinson to develop.

Booooooo.......booooooooo.....you need to come here so we can take out our frustrations on you.

So is Anderson better than Carter or would Carter be higher if he didn't have so many red flags?

Carter would prob be higher, but I'm an Anderson guy, always have been.

Reid drafted Kolb in the 2nd when they had McNabb.  At one point McNabb got benched for Kolb, and the next game McNabb balled out.  Some players get motivated by competition to play harder and prove themselves.

Bears and raiders are the two teams i think that take him ahead of the eagles. If the cardinals move back from 3 in the 6-9 range he’s in play.

imo if Carter falls to 7 i don’t think the eagles wait to hope he falls. I think they jump up or at least try their best to get him. If he’s gone then i think they either wait or trade back. If they wait at 10 i tend to think it’s gonna be Paris and if he’s off the board it’s nolan smith.

I think Carter's film is good but it's not like there's a lot of it.  6 college sacks in 3 years. Not many tackles or FF. I get that it's Georgia but still

The Cardinals could take Johnson. Gannon came from the Eagles who value OL more than anything. And if Kyler fails, that regime probably won't last very long. They will want to protect him.

I went to a Phillies dbacks game out here and sat in RF. When the Phillies were really by in the mid 2010s. Franceour every time he ran out would talk to my sister, brother and I. Before he got moved as a defensive switch he threw us a foul ball. Was one of the cooler things. Last year actually was yelling with vierling in RF. H e chuckled and laughed at a couple of things. Marsh after the game by the dugout I yelled to him and wheeler that they never win when i see them out here. Marsh shrugged his shoulders and wheeler laughed and said sorry

Feel like every Ohio QB gives us this line.
