You don't think the eagles would have signed sanders to the same contract as penny???? Are you serious? You think the eagles PREFER an oft injured (more often than sanders) running back from another team over the guy who already knows the system and plays well in it?

If you think the eagles offered nothing at all you're just being ignorant.

What was the contract the Eagles offered him?

The Eagles won't be signing Dalvin Cook if he's available.  They have him in Rashaad Penny already.

I think Kareem hunt sitting out there is definitely getting picked up right after the draft by a team that misses out on a back

The last 3 QBs drafted #1 overall to win a SB with the team that drafted them are Peyton Manning 1998, Troy Aikman 1989, and John Elway 1983

The last QB drafted 2nd-4th overall to win a Super Bowl for the team that drafted them is... Bob Griese in 1967

At #5 was Jim McMahon in 1982

At #7 was Phil Simms in 1979

Yea the eagles always disclose their contract negotiations, show me where it was reported there were no talks? You don't know any more than I do.

Think critically, sanders signed for 6.5. So we can glean he wanted a payday. Eagles don't pay that much for RB. So using those two bits of info, you can probably assume they either offered something lower than he wanted OR after he told them his asking price they let him walk without offering. So you would be correct if they didn't offer, but then you'd also be wrong about him not caring about money.

So there are never reports about contract situations if the Eagles don't disclose it themselves?  This is getting good now.

You're being ridiculous. No point. Give me the reasoning for letting sanders just walk away if they thought he could be had for the same amount as Penny, since you're so in the know and all

Let's ride

Howie has called multiple teams with preliminary deals in place for a move up.  He always does.  I would bet that he didn’t say why?  I live in the country and can smell the manure spreading from the NovaCare all the way out here in the mid state.

Please have the trade up be for Will Anderson, I like Carter but Anderson is pure.

I think there is a huge misdirect on Bijan. Everyone is caught up with when he will be drafted and are all assuming he is the next Walter Payton.

He could be the next Najee Harris or CEH. He could be the next Ki-Jana Carter or Trent Richardson if picked at 8,10, or 24. All draft picks are a gamble.

Ricky Williams was a can't miss RB from Texas and he had 2 seasons in his entire career worthy of his draft spot and neither for the team that drafted him.

I don’t think Bijan is a JAG but I think he’s getting over hyped for whatever reason. Maybe it’s a weak top heavy class. He feels like a Josh Jacobs esque prospect.

We have no idea. Nobody gets the high ground here.

Its possible that Sanders' agent suggested 3 years 18 million and the Eagles were not interested. Do you think they would come back and say how about 3 years and 8 million?

That would be insulting so its entirely possible that the Eagles never did offer Sanders a contract when it was clear he was looking for something they had zero interest in paying.

IGNORANT means uninformed and we are all equally ignorant of any negotiations or lack thereof between Sanders and Howie.

Imagine the prospect Jacobs could have been with better athleticism/ more explosiveness.

The funny thing is Eagles fans have hyped Bijan to such a degree it'd be virtually impossible at this point for people to be satisfied with the pick because they'll be expecting the Eagles to score 40ppg and Bijan to bust a 20 yard run every 4 carries. I even heard people say that he's so good he could play full-time WR. It's gone way beyond the point of absurdity. Expecting the guy to go out there ripping balls down over CBs and running 60 yards to the house every time he plays out of the backfield.

Yeah, I think he could be Barry Sanders but he could also be Leonard Fournette in Jacksonville.  (a handful of big plays and 3.5 a pop for the other 660 carries)

Fournette was another can't miss guy.

Regardless of who they get at RB or go with at RB, I'd like to see the death of 60 WR screens a year and actually throwing to RBs in the passing game.

Jason looks like a fatter Lane Johnson for some reason.

You want a bold prediction? I think at some point in this draft the eagles select deuce Vaughn. I think they believe he’s Darren sproles that they shot for with pumphrey

Prevailing wisdom seems to be that he slowed down.

Except Bijan has better eyes and feet, and is an actual weapon as a pass catcher. He’s closer to Zeke than Fournette. Might be better than both.

Bijan robinson no matter what lol

Zeke is a fairly horrific pass catcher. He was a decent/good average very low volume pass catcher early in Dallas and now throwing to him is a nod to the other team.

He was a non-factor as a reciever at Ohio State.
