We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Between his coordinators and wanting to put Murray under center more, how did he get this job? There must have been literally no one else interested.

I’m a Hyatt fan , but personally I would take his teammate , Cedrick Tillman over Hyatt … he reminds me of TO a little

The Eagles pretty much have the personnel to play a 3-4 right now. Davis is a prototype nose. Williams would be a good DE in a 3-4. Reddick is a prototype 3-4 OLB and I think Sweat would transition well to that role as well. TJ and Nakobe inside in a 3-4 works, etc etc.

We literally played a 3-4 this year...

So Eagles couldn't technically hire Leonhard until after Wednesdays zoom call with Vance then huh? And no one else has even shown interest in interviewing this guy? Seems odd since everything about him seems great. I have not seen one negative thing besides him not having nfl coaching experience.

I think the Eagles conduct interviews we don’t hear about

Howie said when they hired Siri they were behind schedule so the looked at candidates that were 1 year away.

They probably are thinking the same thing here, Leonhard is probably 1 year ahead of schedule in regards to other NFL teams radar.

So does everyone think/expect the Eagles to win the division next year to put an end to that silly trope that no NFCE team can win back to back division titles?

Yes.

Pretty sure the Redskins are going with Sam Howe at QB.

Is he beating out Sam Howell?

Kind of a chocolate vs vanilla situation. They’re radically different types of players. Plus isn’t Tillman coming off a major injury?

We played a sort of hybrid. But yeah, that doesn’t worry me.

Yep. I can see why some would want to keep it extremely private.

I could also see them taking Nick Herbig at Edge/LB who played for Leonard at Wisconsin.

Plus they have Noah Elliss hidden on the PUP who could be an excellent backup to Davis at NT.

I personally would take a chance and let TJ walk in free agency and plug Christian Elliss in as the other ILB with Dean.

Big fan of Thomas Incoom , one of my steals in the draft

he’s relentless out there , power and quicks , plays like a bully

How would Incoom fit a 3-4?

Why?

We actually played a multi front hybrid but most snaps were 3-4. Your point is still valid.

I had a really weird dream last night.  It was a dream within a dream which made it difficult to realize it was a dream and even when I did it wasn't until I woke up from that other dream that I realized it was all a dream.

It all started watching an Eagles dream and Covey busted off some 100 yard punt return TD which I couldn't believe.  But it just got really weird from there to the point where I couldn't figure out if the Covey punt return TD happened or if I fell asleep during the game and that was part of the dream.  By the 4th quarter I had seen Howie line up outside for a quick WR screen where he actually shook the DB for a minimal gain and didn't get injured.  He wasn't wearing a uniform or pads either.  Just went out there for a play.

Final draft drive very weird formations where they were trying to confuse the defense by asking them trivia and then hiking the ball at the last moment.  In one instance the defense got the trivia wrong so they were dragging a defender towards a helicopter that landed only they drove a car full speed into the helicopter which caused a huge explosion but no one was injured. When I "woke" up from that I was talking to someone telling them I couldn't believe any of that had happened especially the Covey ount return TD but they confirmed it had all happened.  It wasn't until I actually woke up this morning that I realized none of it could have possibly happened and it was all a dream.

Perhaps K.Benton as well - with a heavier 3-4 base and using the 2-4-5 in known passing situations, the D will likely be more DE/LB-centric with less emphasis on the 3T. There’s crossover between 3T and 5T prospects, but an outlier like Kancey might not be a scheme fit (while him fitting into Gannon’s 4DL fronts as a pass rusher seems obvious).

Im all for Payne. He and Davis could theoretically make a great pairing in the 2-4-5, and of course can play in any front whether its a 3 man, 4 man, 5 man line.

I wouldnt mind Kancey and Milton Williams as the DEs. Theyre short, but theyre DTs who have the athleticism to play on the end in a 3-4.

I also wouldnt mind moving Sweat back to 3-4 DE like he was in college, and drafting Nolan Smith to play opposite Reddick.

I think he is versatile , play in 43 or 34 ….in a 34 probably spend s good part of the time lined up as a 5 t

Agreed on Payne - if we are going to pay a premium for DT, he is younger than Hargrave and looks to be a better scheme fit if the Leonhard hire pans out.  Always liked Nolan -  my worry before was that there wouldn't be enough OLB/designated pass rusher snaps with the hybrid fronts... if we are playing 3-4 and 2-4-5 not a problem, actually we'll need more of these guys.
