Were we aware that he visited?

@BigEd76 fantastic tracker in the Draft area, with help from what others saw, has 24 official visits, IIRC.  Think, based on what he said, we can add Gonzales to the CB list and Tippman to the Official Visit list. (BigEd has Tippman doing a private workout.)  Interesting  in that Tippman may be the only C they saw.  Curious why no Avila.

Anyone catch what Paris Johnson said about keeping in the building on honoring the Eagles request, what Stout went over with him?  Found that pretty interesting.

Discouraging how there is only one LB on the list in total.  I am hoping that our LB coach traveled to some pro days and maybe some private workouts.  Only one TE but frankly not surprising to me.  I think they have 3 TEs they like and possibly still like the potential for Jackson.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

I can see Howie going crazy b/c they don't need any specific position (who in this draft would start for the Eagles as a rookie outside of Bijan?) so he can focus on depth and upside.

Carter, JSN, maybe a handful of the safeties if they pan out, maybe Kancey on 3rd downs.

Otherwise depth at CB/WR/OL/DL is important for us with our current roster.

"Home Game".  Such a bad strategy for the USFL.  There's literally no Philly fanbase for the Stars.  If they were playing here, even at a smaller stadium, there would be true Philly fans supporting this team and the league.

USFL is inferior in play and talent to the XFL. The hub stadiums suck.

Has Eagles moving up to 8 for Carter.

Need Seattle to love Tyree Wilson, a QB or a trade for Carter to fall.

And taking Matthew Bergeron at 30, playing guard while we wait for Lane to retire.

Wish-list for #10/trade-up:

  1. Will Anderson Jr.
  2. Jalen Carter.
  3. Tyree Wilson.
  4. Bijan Robinson.
  5. Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Yep. I feel like if Carter gets past the 5th pick / Seattle we will trade up to 7 or 8 and land him.

I've talked myself into wanting Njigba at 10.  Can play inside/outside and matchup nightmare... Quez played 58% of the offensive snaps last year.  Smith was 92% and Brown 85%.  No reason we can't lighten the load for those two a little bit.

What I found refreshing this year is with the Eagles with two stars at starting WR and a bad WR class, we got relief from the usual clamoring for a WR.  I cannot fathom spending 10 on a WR.  But if you did, the best slot available at 10 is Bijan Robinson.

So more buzz that Anderson is going 2 to Houston and Tennessee is trading up to 3.

Not buying it

Hou trying to entice someone to jump in front of AZ

Hopefully someone trades up to #2 for Paris or a QB. Not a great way to start the draft to have Anderson go #2. Tyree and Carter will follow soon after. QB will fall which is the positive if we can find a trade back partner.

Sounds like Justin Jefferson debate

Okay.  Short debate, though.

Justin Jefferson played the entire 2018 season as an outside WR at LSU and put up 54 catches for 875 yards and 6 TDs.  He was moved to the slot in 2019 to get 5-star recruit Terrace Marshall on the field.

JSN, conversely, hasn't played a snap at outside WR since kindergarten.

What do you perceive as the upside of drafting JSN at #10?  You want to give him 150 targets a season to reduce the targets for AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Goedert?  If JSN gets those 150 targets per season, do you then want to move on from DeVonta Smith or AJ Brown?  JSN can't play outside; he can't do what those players do.  He runs too slow.

It's not just that JSN is terrible value at #10.  It's terrible roster construction, and it leads to replacing a player(s) with an inferior prospect.

The only prediction I'm brave enough to make is that a substantial proportion of the board will be disappointed tomorrow.

If you arent ticking anyone off you arent doing anything worth noting

DL and OL, Lance has done his homework...

Jerry Springer has passed away.

I remember the time I spent working from home in 1997, watching his trash TV show and getting a few laughs thinking "I guess my life could be a lot worse", before it became obvious most of his guests were actors.  RIP, Jerry.

I don't think 4 QBs go top 9, but hoping for 3 + 1 OL/RB is for the best.

Wishlist:

1. Anderson (likely zero chance)

2. Carter

3. Wilson

4. Smith

5. Johnson

The whole night comes down to what does Seattle do, IMO.

That was great hungover TV when I was in college. There was an episode with the midget KKK...I've never laughed so hard in my life.

It's pretty obvious if you just open your eyes!  Howie orchestrated everything:

  • Shut down the EMB, other GMs were reading it to steal Howie's idea think tank
  • Push Reddit and Facebook, flood them with plants to post false info and smokescreens
  • Get VA to start a secret new EMB to mine for ideas; don't even fund it make them collect donations and Amazon links to not tip anyone off
  • Get unique ideas like drafting Bijan or a lineman, no one else is talking about that
  • Discover gems like Superweaponz and Freakbeasts
  • Championship

Thank you for literally making me chuckle out loud.

It's not shocking with Ryans taking over that they take a stud defensive guy from his alma mater. If they're not in love with any of these 5 QB's...suck again this year and shoot for Caleb or Maye.

Seattle is definitely the lynchpin to this whole first round. I'm PRAYING they want Geno's successor and take Richardson so he can sit for a year.

That man introduced me to some things and stuff in the pre-internet age. It was the perfect soft ice-breaker.

"Trading up for Jalen Carter" feels like it's being parroted too much to actually happen.
