We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Watch them trade up with Carter on the board and take Wilson.

Wonder if Texans would go Anderson at 2 and then Carter at 12 should he continue to fall...

Davis had all the buzz last year and that happened. Carter makes sense.

While many of us in the blog had us trading up for Jordan Davis, that was not widespread in the national media like it is for Carter.

Well, just for fun. I'll admit this probably reflects what I am hoping will happen quite a bit:

1. Panthers -- Bryce Young -- obviously

2. Texans -- Will Anderson -- I'm buying that the Texans are in this for the long haul and go QB either at 12 (hoping one falls) or next year

3. TRADE -- Titans -- Will Levis -- Titans trade up, jump division rival and draft Levis

4. Colts -- CJ Stroud -- Colts "settle" for Stroud

5. Seahawks -- Jalen Carter -- and I weep a little inside

6. Lions -- Devon Witherspoon -- CB makes sense for them

7. TRADE -- Eagles -- Tyree Wilson -- Howie trades 10, 2024 2nd and 2024 5th to move up and get the pass rusher that falls (he's looking for Carter, Anderson or Wilson)

8. Falcons -- Bijan Robinson -- because the Falcons remain stupid

9. Bears -- Paris Johnson -- best OL falls into their laps

10. Raiders -- Christian Gonzalez

I think/hope one of the 3 D-linemen fall to 7 and the Raiders will play ball. If SEA takes Richardson, I'll be ecstatic

Maybe not trading up for Davis but he was the most frequently mocked player to the Eagles last year. Everyone had them taking Davis.

It's pretty obvious if you just open your eyes!  Howie orchestrated everything:

  • Shut down the EMB, other GMs were reading it to steal Howie's idea think tank
  • Push Reddit and Facebook, flood them with plants to post false info and smokescreens
  • Get VA to start a secret new EMB to mine for ideas; don't even fund it make them collect donations and Amazon links to not tip anyone off
  • Get unique ideas like drafting Bijan or a lineman, no one else is talking about that
  • Discover gems like Superweaponz and Freakbeasts

That was great hungover TV when I was in college. There was an episode with the midget KKK...I've never laughed so hard in my life.

The most memorable episode for me was when he had a porn actor and actress posing as a married couple having marital problems; she said he was too big and it made sex painful for her.  She suggested he "get a couple of inches cut off"

WRs were the most mocked position.

(This was pre AJ Brown)

Davis, Carter, Cox, Milton, Street, Marlon, Elliss...DT would be a very deep position with youth. I'd be thrilled. All comes down to Dom's thumbs up or down on Carter the person. Provided they're comfortable there, I think he's Howie's #1 target. Smith would be a consolation prize if they are stuck at 10 and Carter, Wilson, Anderson are all gone.

Yup.  Davis was easy to predict, DeVonta Smith was the most probable the year before, and Reagor was being pretty heavily reported the days leading up to that draft.

This year I think there has been an increased effort by the sports media to convolute things as much as possible to maximize the intrigue and drama for ratings.  They've been successful because there is a lot of uncertainty and misinformation being spread.

My guess (and it's only a guess) for tonight is the Eagles have it down to these choices at 10, in order of preference:

1.  Paris Johnson

2.  Nolan Smith

3.  Skoronski/Bijan coin flip.

I think Johnson goes to the Bears at #9 and the Eagles take Nolan Smith.  If the Bears take Skoronski then the Eagles will take Paris Johnson.

Yeah that’s the sense i am getting from all the reports. Cardinals could just take him at 3. I also think the raiders and bears could also take him at 7 and 9. I just don’t think he’s gonna make it to 10. Maybe the eagles trade up to get him but i really don’t think they’d do that for him.

Same player as who?

Njigba.

Great route runner. Plays inside and outside. Hands. Decent size,  6'2". Just lacking elite speed.

Speaking of AJ. There’s a slot WR from Ole Miss we might be able to snag day 2. Mingo.

So more buzz that Anderson is going 2 to Houston and Tennessee is trading up to 3.

Curious if colts attempt to get to 3 if they believe the titans if they jump to 3 are going to take their Qb.

Not even close.

Think they both are targeting Levis.

Possible.  Someone on NFL Radio brought up the great point that the Colts can't just trade with the Cardinals for the #3 spot pre-draft, because then someone could trade with the Texans into #2 to take the player they want anyway.  The Texans are unlikely to trade with the Colts so they can get their QB, being a division rival.

Once the Texans make their pick, then the Colts could (should) make an offer to ensure they get their QB at #3 .... and, being the Colts, they'll take the wrong one.

If Carter gets past Seattle I think Howie gets him. Pauline said Seattle took him off their board and Josh Norris mocked him to Seattle but said one source told him they'd take him but another source told him he's unequivocally off their board.

If Seattle doesn't take him wonder where they go. QB or Wilson possibly. Or could trade out to a team that wants a QB.

But if Howie wants him that bad I think he's planning contingencies. McLane said the Eagles rated Carter as the best player in the draft.

That’s what I think. I also think there’s a chance I’d stroud and Richardson could go 5 and 6. Been some rumors about seattle liking Richardson and they could take him to be the long term option as geno is 33. Let him sit for a year with geno smith. I think both the lions and Seahawks if they love one of these QBs should take one because neither team could be picking this high again over the next 2-3 years to be able to get another that they really love.

There’s a school of thought that Eagles would trade up for Carter or not take him at all. i.e. they cleared him as the best player or crossed him off for red flags. I could argue there is a middle ground where you’d be willing to take more risk at 10 then you would if you traded up but it is an argument

Olave and Garrett Wilson both said Njigba the best of the 3 and on another level than them

Here's my hot take: Jaxon Smith-Njigba would improve the offense much more than Bijan Robinson.
