Bijan would get way more touches than JSN ever would in our offense.  It also doesn't create a potentially toxic dynamic of taking targets away from AJ, DeVonta and Goedert.

Bijan's touches would not be as meaningful as JSN's. Penny/Gainwell/Scott/other rookie, are likely to be just as productive as Bijan.  That's the thing with him is that he wouldn't likely be more productive than any other average RB.  JSN would be significantly more productive than Watkins or any other reciever.  Last season the top 3 accounted for 238 receptions.  There were 112 other receptions in the offense all by receivers (with the exception of Calcaterra) who average near or below 10 yards a reception.  JSN could easily get 50 catches and easily average 3-5 yards more a reception.  It would be a net gain in passing yards of closer to 300 yards in offense.  He also would make things easier for the other receivers in the passing game more than Bijan would impact the passing game.  Bijan isn't likely to average any more yards per carry than Gainwell, Scott, Penny or Sermon.  Rookie RB's rarely get close to 5 yards per carry and that's what it would take.

No one has them off of their board entirely. That’s ridiculous.

Functionally sure. Would every team take him in the seventh?  Of course. We all know what we’re talking about no need to play dumb.

The idea that any RB is as good as bijan is the most insane statement coming out surrounding this draft. No, every back is not equivalent or equally productive. No.

He has Jordan Davis and Nkobe Dean who have insight on the kid.

Cox, Graham, Kelce, Hurts are amazing leaders as well.

Sometimes these kids need structure and mentors to help them mature.

There's nothing Davis or Dean has on him that other NFL teams can't find out. They may also just be giving a biased opinion on him if they are friends with him.

So if teams who usually don't care about character like Raiders or Seahawks are taking Carter off their board why wouldn't Howie who doesn't usually take those types?

People might not like this, but I wouldn’t entirely rule out if Paris Johnson falls to six or seven that the Eagles trade up to get him if they truly believe and Stoutland told him he thinks he can be their next lane Johnson. I know there’s a lot of talk about the Eagles trading up for Jalen Carter, but I wouldn’t entirely rule that out for Paris Johnson. If Stoutland told the Eagles, he thinks with that type of athleticism he can mold him into lane Johnson by the time lane Johnson retires. Added he can play guard til then and be your swing tackle.

The lateral quickness by Njigba is what makes him elite.  He's not running Fly Routes every play..

For comparison

JSN 3 cone - 6.57
JSN 20 yard shuttle - 3.93

Edelman

3 Cone - 6.62
20 yard shuttle - 3.92

Tyreek Hill -

3 Cone - 6.53
20 yard shuttle 4.06

All this at 6 foot 1 and just under 200 pounds

If Hurts is able to get the ball out quicker then the line holds up better and he takes less hits also.

I think he’s similar to develop with Diggs style of route running and setups. Not as good down field 50/50 or as competitive in those situations, but he  separate easily with insane feet and unorthodox looks to throw a DB off. He’s was just always open, and doesn’t drop much of anything at all. He also has crazy YAC ability

They're not taking a WR in the 1st round that's the strangest suggestion I've seen.  I would be shocked if they did.  They already have two 1,000 yard receivers and a top TE.

Big talk, but they still remain tied at 1 touchdown apiece

While I don't think they'll take Bijan, I can understand the argument people are making for it and it would shock the NFL if he did.  But let's be real, they take linemen.

Idk I just answered the question of what could be different than those organizations.

None of us know the relationships etc. Not everyone is willing to vouch for someone, especially in a professional setting just because they’re friends lol.

Something else regarding Bijan's touches in this offense...

I hope if they draft him, we're arguing every year about his usage from September-November. The 49ers did it right this year with McCaffrey -- let any above replacement level back get those low value, between the tackles runs. Use Bijan selectively and then ride him in the playoffs.

If the team drafting him uses him as a bell cow, they're doing it wrong.

I made a similar argument the other day if they drafted him by saying he’s likely only going to get 10 to 13 touches per game. the Eagles like to use a rotation and keep him fresh and healthy for when they need him down the stretch. I can guarantee by week five that everyone on WIP and 975 will be losing their mind about why he isn’t getting more than 10 to 12 touches.

Does a healthy Chase Young exist?

I think the severity of his ACL tear in conjunction with his patella tendon rupture will affect him forever. Not interested.

Not sure Washington is willing to trade him or sweat inside the division. I guess if it’s the best offer but i think if the offers were close they’d probably go with trading him outside of the division. But if he ever got himself back to where he was or if they got sweat that’s an excellent pick up

Maybe but why not take the best offer.  He's likely to leave after next season.

You must've missed the arguments for drafting Anthony Richardson

If the offer is significantly more than I am 100% with you. But if the offers are very similar then I think they prefer to trade him outside the division. I look at it this way if both teams are offering second round picks that are both at the end of the third round are the couple extra slots were having to potentially face them inside the division twice a year for the next 7 to 8 years and the fact he recaptures what he wants was so it looks bad on the surface to begin with that you traded him. To me, the couple extra slots isn’t worth it. Now, hypothetically if the Eagles are willing to trade a second, and the other team is willing to trade a late third round pick, then I can understand Washington biting the bullet and trading him inside the division.

Citing John McClain, Neuhiesel and Dominic believe that Levis goes #2 to Texans.  If so, how do you think that affects the top 10?

Would think that somebody would trade to #3 to take Stroud in that situation with Indy at #4.

I would bet on the Titans at that point jumping up to three to leapfrog the Colts to get either CJ Stroud or Anthony Richardson.

I thought it was just a grade 3 ACL tear.  I don't know if Patella ruptures are the same kind of career enders.  I do think other players have comeback from them.  He's still potentially worth the risk.

How is a slot receiver who would be at best a 4th option in the offense have more meaningful touches than what would be a 3 down RB?  Also absurd to act as if Gainwell, Scott and a guy who has never shown the ability in his career to play anywhere close to a full season would match the production of an elite top end RB.

What a boring day so far.  No trades. Nada
