I thought it was just a grade 3 ACL tear.  I don't know if Patella ruptures are the same kind of career enders.  I do think other players have comeback from them.  He's still potentially worth the risk.

The issue is they both ruptured at the same time which is incredibly rare. It's usually one or the other.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Sweat or even better...  Daron Payne...hell yes. Young? Nah.

I think the severity of his ACL tear in conjunction with his patella tendon rupture will affect him forever. Not interested.

Pretty sure Payne just signed an extension this offseason. So that’s not happening.

They're not taking a WR in the 1st round that's the strangest suggestion I've seen.  I would be shocked if they did.  They already have two 1,000 yard receivers and a top TE.

It would be surprising but drafting JNS at 10 is a better pick than drafting Bijan anywhere in the first round.

So a guy who gets less touches would make it toxic for AJ and Smith than a player who would get way more touches in Bijan?

If he's taking targets away form then yes.  Also have to factor in how happy a WR drafted 10th overall would be coming into a situation where he would be the 4th receiving option.  To act like it doesn't have the potential to create issues at a position where egos reign supreme is just naive.

Just flat out incorrect.

I would take a chance but not on a pick in the first two rounds. Since the eagles third round pick is a late third round pick I might consider it (lean towards still probably not) because of the tremendous upside that could occur if he gets back to being healthy. But I don’t think Washington is going to trade him for late third round pick. I think they are looking for something in the second round or higher even with the injuries.

I get it but I think you are just talking about a longer rehabilitation period for the injuries.  I don't know if patella injury dramatically impacts long term explosiveness.

No.

Not gonna lie...in a draft that has very few blue chip players, I would not be upset in the least if he's the pick at 10. In my mind, there are only four "blue chip" players in this draft: Carter, Robinson, Anderson, Wilson. After that, it's a matter of personal preference at EDGE. Nolan Smith is an incredible athlete who also happens to be an intelligent young man of high character. What he can do on the field is "unique" for someone at his size. This guy was never really asked to rush the passer at UGA, but I'd be willing to bet he'd be pretty damn good at it. He is a proven stud perimeter defender. And this team just so happens to have a veteran version of him in Reddick. Having those two on the field together is really intriguing to me, as it gives Desai so many options for creative packages. If they stand pat at 10 and take Smith, I may be in the minority but I'll be very excited. He is 6'3" 236, Micah is 6'3" 245...

Didn't realize Alabama never had a #1 overall prospect. Seems crazy.

RB's are completely fungible and of little value.

Boston Scott >>>>> Bijan

Man, if the Texans do go Levis at #2, gotta think the Titans jump the Colts to take Stroud at 3 (assuming they pass on Richardson if they are already done with Malik Willis). So then the Colts take Richardson at 4, meaning all 3 blue chip D lineman make it to 5? That's a dream scenario.

Picking up the slack of a long line of trolls. Bacarty 2.0, congrats

The idea that any RB is as good as bijan is the most insane statement coming out surrounding this draft. No, every back is not equivalent or equally productive. No.

Bijan Robinson isn't some generational talent.  It also isn't a position on the team where an upgrade is going to improve the running game or explosiveness of the team.  JNS would be a far bigger upgrade over the Watkins/Gainwell as a receiving option.

I think there’s been some rumors coming out the colts actually like Richardson. I’m curious if seattle tried to jump up to 3 if they really like stroud or Richardson.

I wish Supertramp had stayed together longer.  Instead, we're stuck with crap like Aerosmith and the Stones playing together into their 80s:

Hyperbolic takes aren't trolling.  The Jets drafted Breece Hall in the 2nd round last year.  Bijan is on par with Breece Hall.  If the Eagles draft him in the 2nd round, that's a good pick.

Got it. Running backs are irrelevant to the running game. Hot take ladies and gents. And it’s JSN.

Wonder if a draft ever had the #1 and #2 pick come from the same school (Young & Anderson)

I could see the colts taking him. I also could see seattle trying to leapfrog them. I forget what podcast i was listening too (they all have melted in my brain into one now) but they said they’ve heard seattle is super intrigued by Richardson.

How many wide receivers do the jets need? If they took JSN then they’d have JSN, Wilson, Lazard, Davis, hardman and mims. No way they keep all those guys if they took JSN

Supposedly they were interested in trading up in to round 1 to get Gibbs. Certainly seems to make sense if they cant pull that off.
