We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

That would be a lot for Eagles to trade up for Paris Johnson

I see Skoronski ahead of PJ in most mocks....or mostly named first when both are mentioned in the same sentence.  Most seem to think he's the more desirable pick if you had to choose between the two.

Then I see most here in the blog want PJ over Skoronski.  Why?  Is he more a pure OT and a possible LJ replacement?  I would think if that was the case, then everyone would mention PJ's name first

If the Eagles trade up for Paris Johnson he better be Jason Peters on steroids.

Who would we trade up to #3 overall for?  Will Anderson?

Is he that good?

Apparently, the Bears thought they had a deal in place with the Texans to swap the #1 and 2 picks, after which CHI was still going to trade the #2 pick to the Panthers for pretty much the same deal they did for #1 to 9.  HOU would have been #1, though and CAR would have been picking #2.  Supposedly, the asking price to go from 2 up to 1 was either the #2 and 12 overall picks, or #2 plus a 2024 1st round pick.  Caserio balked at both.

If the reporting is correct, the Texans have no intention of drafting Stroud and will take Will Anderson instead.  The author of the column represented it as an abject failure by the Texans, but I think it's the proper play under the circumstances.

Bottom line on Bijan.  Not taking him at #10.  If we trade down into the mid-late teens and pick up an extra 2nd, then maybe.

You would think so.  His resume isn't as accomplished as Hurts or Jackson at this point, so he should slot in a bit under those two.

Herbert > Jackson

What would it take... Our 2nd this year and next year at least. Not sure what else.

This was 2 years ago. I’m not sure it would take much more than that.

Oh, I agree totally.  But the Chargers would just tell him in negotiations he hasn't made the playoffs yet.

Pretty safe bet to say he's not. Not even Peters minus the steroids, or even minus the multi vitamins.

We better be leaving with Budda Baker on a restructured contract for that price.

And in the process they forfeit their entire 2024 draft 😂

• We mentioned the Eagles potentially going up, and Philly has had detailed discussions on deals with the Seahawks at No. 5 and the Falcons at No. 8 (they’ve touched base with Detroit, Houston and Vegas, too). I think both are in play, if things fall the right way, with GM Howie Roseman also having done his homework on moving down from both 10 and 30.

Why do you say this?  All reports I've heard is that he's a pretty safe bet at OT.  Not everyone is going to be JP

Another QB! That’s a great package to trade for.

Clearly drafting WR late in the first is pretty tough, many of them don’t pan out. Wonder what we’d look like with Aggy, Reagor, and JJAW as our best WRs.

That's a weak argument.  They drafted the wrong ones.  Instead of Reagor... what about Justin Jefferson or Brandon Aiyuk or Tee Higgins or Michael Pittman Jr or Chase Claypool... all of whom were on the board when the Eagles drafted Reagor, but they chose wrong.  Any of those others would have been a better choice, clearly with some better than others.  But Reagor was basically the worst option of the bunch.

Or, instead of JJAW... why not DJ Metcalf or Terry McLaurin?

Feels like the Cardinals are the only team in the top 10 that would want to trade back if the Eagles want to trade up.

No idea if this source is credible or not though.

I have a great deal of respect for Johnny's opinion.

That'd be a really interesting trade to see how it all plays out with who is giving up what in total.

Serious or joke?

Skoronski is projected as a more NFL-ready prospect and can step in Day 1.  That has appeal to teams who either need a LT (if they think he can play there) or have an immediate need on their OL.  The Eagles are in a unique position where they aren't drafting for need at all and will (hopefully) draft a player purely on how he fits long term.
