That'd be a really interesting trade to see how it all plays out with who is giving up what in total.

So they're trying to trade number 3 and a guy that's worth at least another 1st?

This was 2 years ago. I’m not sure it would take much more than that.

I can't give up next years or this years 1st. I don't see anyone I need to have that I'm giving up a first. I'm hesitant to do two 2nds even.

They won’t get a 1 for hopkins, maybe not even a 2

That's a weak argument.  They drafted the wrong ones.  Instead of Reagor... what about Justin Jefferson or Brandon Aiyuk or Tee Higgins or Michael Pittman Jr or Chase Claypool... all of whom were on the board when the Eagles drafted Reagor, but they chose wrong.  Any of those others would have been a better choice, clearly with some better than others.  But Reagor was basically the worst option of the bunch.

Or, instead of JJAW... why not DJ Metcalf or Terry McLaurin?

That’s called 20-20 hindsight. I didn’t say "there are no WRs worth anything in the draft” It’s just not a science and just because you chose someone doesn’t mean they’re NFL studs who can provide a reliable target for your QB. Look at the 2016 and 2017 drafts first round vs the field. 2019 the best 3 WRs were the 4th 9th and 12th WRs off the board.

Why do you say this?  All reports I've heard is that he's a pretty safe bet at OT.  Not everyone is going to be JP

I'm just saying he's not going to be Peters. Let's not forget how dominant Peters was. I'm not seeing that level of play from Paris. He's pretty good all the way around. Just not seeing anything dominating.

Perhaps not...didn't realize he'll be 31.  Still probably a 2nd if healthy

Agreed this ain’t madden lol.

No way we go up. Down maybe.

I think it’s the compounding of his age, the fact that the last two seasons have been limited by off the field suspensions and major injury, and that he has multiple years of big salary left. If he was considered a worthwhile get for a 2, I believe someone would have made that trade awhile ago

I think very highly of him (maybe even a top 5 WR right now), but it is what it is

If Anderson or Carter fall, we're going to move up.

Very likely we go up so hold onto your undies

He wasn’t worth a 2nd when Arizona traded for him I’m not understanding why he’d be worth a 2nd today being older, more injuries, and $56m in cap hit over 2 years.

Nah.  Prior to the draft, I had Jefferson, Aiyuk and Higgins all higher than Reagor.  He wasn't a first round WR in my estimation... and the rest of the NFL world basically agreed that Jefferson was no worse than the #4 WR that year.

The point is, some teams just suck at drafting certain positions, just as others are really good at drafting certain positions.   The Ravens (and Eagles) have sucked at drafting WRs for a long time.  Pittsburgh has been very good at drafting WRs.  The Ravens have been good with CBs.

Agreed. Take 1 of the 2 best non-QB players in the draft.

I think they cloned DeAndre Hopkins because the Chiefs, Bills, Giants, and Ravens are all reportedly close to trading for him.

Big pressure on Jordan Davis this season to take a Year 2 jump and show the Eagles and their fans why he was traded up for.  I don't think he has time to chaperone anybody.

your point is invalid to the conversation and further proved my point that simply drafting a WR doesn’t mean you’ve given your QB adequate weapons for his success.

Bijan is going to the Jets I guess

Don't think it'll be to 3 because it seems Anderson goes 2 and I don't think the Eagles would move up that far for anyone not named Anderson.

Had no idea his cap hit was that much.  But I disagree that he wasn't worth a 2nd at that time.
