February 15, 20223 yr If I could be serious for a moment. I've always had a lot of respect for Dre. I'm not sure that there's another artist who's ever been as singularly influential in their genre as he's been. And I used to love me some NWA and Eazy E back in the day. They just didn't rock my jams during this set. If they had played Dopeman or No More ?'s I'd have been rapping and high stepping it around the living room.

That may be a little much, F** the Police would be more PG than Dopeman. I really wanted to hear Nuthin But a G Thang, and some Snoop from Doggystyle. Mary J should have done Real Love. Em should have done The Real Slim Shady.

Thought for sure he was gonna do Forgot About Dre or at least Rap God. Heck even Godzilla would've been a good choice. But I guess when you're the goat, it's tough to pick songs that'll please everyone.

I'm pretty sure they only played stuff from after the Deathrow split to avoid dealing with publishing rights. (Even though Snoop just bought Death Row - I wonder if Suge Knight still has publishing rights to any of Dre's older work.) MJB only played her Dre produced work, as well. I still think they should have did a 2Pac and Nate Dogg tribute, though.

Suge has no rights to anything, lost it 100% in the bankruptcy.

Everything from the performance is trending huge on all streaming services. If that was the case, MNRK lost out on some major coin.
