One of the hysterical outcomes has been the turn back to coal, especially in Germany. I agree they won’t normalize trade with Russia after any peace deal. That bridge is burned.

It’s a war of attrition and Russia has more men and Chinese manufacturing behind them. If nukes didn’t exist we could of course wipe the floor with them, but nukes do exist, so we won’t risk a direct confrontation. It is what it is.
